Perfect DD. Best one EVER!

PP, your trip sounds great, and your plan sounds terrific. You're brave to take only smallish pants, but it should provide all the incentive you need to stick to it. Have a blast!

This is why I was partially wondering if thickened liquids (e.g., a glucomannan shake; an eggnog; some broth with added gelatine and/or a tsp of HWC or some egg drops) would give you some extra nutritional support, perhaps reducing the drive to eat on UDs, without the extra items in the liquid triggering a post-eating-on-DDs-mood shift and without perturbing your good feelings around liquid DDs.

I hope for a good dd. I am off work today and I tend to do worse when I am home. So far coffee and egg white and a small piece of GF bread I made. Lunch will be some soup. Dinner will be Zuchinni pasta with fire roasted tomatoes and shrimp or chicken. I got to start cleaning to keep busy.

Meh

I am moving into a different office and have been moving heavy stuff around all morning and it is making me very hungry. I have some nonfat Greek yogurt in the fridge and it's calling my name. There is only 300 calories worth there, so it is within allowable limits. I am just worried that eating anything will trigger an UD. I am getting oh so close to getting back into Onederland and I don't want to sabotage it.

Well goodbye dd. I met my sister to give her mail that has been being delivered to our house since she was almost moved in a few months ago. We have not seen each other since I moved her out. So we met halfway at a winery and shared a bottle of wine. Her daughter was there too so I really on had a third. And had a slice of white spinach pizza. It was good and we had a great visit. But I am over my calories now. It is not really too bad. If I go the rest of the night without eating I can salvage this day. Hmmm. I am at about 630.

It's almost 11pm so I'm pleased that this DD is almost over as it's been another rough one (despite sleeping last night).

Looking forward to tomorrow - as long as my ear doesn't trouble me too much, I have a kayak session scheduled in a swimming pool. I'm so desperate to be in a boat that I'd have to be crawling on my hands and knees before I'd voluntarily miss it.

I was starving this morning. However, since the afternoon, I haven't really been hungry at all. Usually, I go through hunger at around dinner time but that didn't show up tonight. I thought I was going to starve all day but - nothing.

Weirdness

Slow, thanks for reiterating. I'm going to pull my gluc out of the back of the cupboard and give it a try. My assumption was that I'd be better doing more calories on the DD. I'll experiment with gluc instead.
Great dd so far. It's funny - when I'm busy, DDs are easier and UDs are a bit harder.
It's only midday, but I've just had my first coffee, first pterosmack, and all's right with the world. (Hope it helps to reread this next time I'm hanging on by the hangnails of my baby toes.)

So far nothing but hot tea for me, and not one bit of hunger. I think I'll switch to iced tea now and really get a lot of fluids in me.

Today's DD is a 5 so far. Went to the gym and worked out HARD with cardio and strength training. I'm finding that it helps to workout on DDs because it keeps me busy. Besides that, mentally I'm thinking I don't want to ruin a good workout by eating back the calories! So, either I'm having workout appetite suppression physiologically or psychologically. Either way I'll take it.

Had my morning coffee with 80 calories of half n half. Now I'm drinking water with lemon squeezed in. So, I'm doing A-OK so far.

Cindy: We all have those days for sure. Hang in there. You will really enjoy your UD tomorrow and the next DD will be much better.

Frosty: I say go for the yogurt! If you deny yourself something safe, what will happen later? It's really warm outside here, too. But I'm cold and my feet feel like two blocks of ice. I'm embracing it as a sign that my fat is melting like snow.

Thanks Yam-Yam. I don't normally eat on a DD so I didn't want to break that up. I was mostly feeling sorry for myself at the time. The nice thing is that I was rewarded with a drop back into Onederland.

It's warm here for January but it's still only in the upper 30's. It has kind of socked in and gotten foggy. That cold and damp on a DD is really cold.

Glad to hear it, Cindy.
4.5 here. Couldn't find the gluc. It's in storage. I'll dig it out before the next Dd.
Broth today, cabbage just now. And done.
I feel a wee bit crabby. This happens sometimes on DDs. It happens sometimes on UDs. It happens when I decide to eat less addictively. It happens when I withdraw from sugar and flour.
Okay, enough. It happens, already. Get over yourself.
Excellent, overall.

Congratulations!!!!!! You earned it for sure. Hey, it's in the low 70's and bright and sunny here! Still freezing. I think I should go out on the patio and lay me down under the sunshine!

Honest question: would bailing help?

If so, then you should. You can always get back into JUDDD when you can later.

However, if bailing is going to end up adding to the stress later, then you might consider holding out a little longer.

You gotta do what is best for you. Hang in there.

I'm still at a solid 5 and it's 8:45 p.m. Whatever I did today I need to repeat every DD.

My intense workout of cardio plus weight training did not make me hungry. So happy to report that. In fact, it seemed to have the opposite effect and suppress any appetite I thought I had. Ya-Hooooopy deeee doo.

Oh Soren. I wouldn't blame you one bit for bailing until next week, if that makes this even the tiniest bit less difficult. Frosty made some good, thought provoking comments, and I'm sure you'll do what you need to do to get through this tough time.
