Some good posts here. It is so interesting to read the experience of you returners, looking for a kinder, gentler approach this time. You know it works and don't feel the need to rush it or make it tough. How wise.

I slept really late today which is helpful on a DD, lol. I'd had a very disturbed night and lovely DH suggested I just try to snooze on, and I did, til 11.30!

Then I went to the gym, had coffee and straight off to the mall where I didn't have coffee, a very rare occurrence.

It is almost 6pm here and I have just had a Miso, don't know what I'll have tonight, but it won't be much.

So I'll give it 5

*cough* This is me you're addressing - that doesn't approximate to long-winded compared to my stuff.

It's interesting what works for people at different stages in their weight-management. At present, I couldn't imagine a liquid-only DD but that is coloured by my problems with a low-volume intake - if that changed, then maybe my approach to DDs would. We'll see.

I'm packing and baking (bread; coconut cakes; chocolate cake; mincemeat crumbles; tahini flapjack; two types of cheese biscuit).

I'll be in and out

I have days where my hunger is completely non existent and other days where as long as I'm working I'm good, but as I get home I want food. My UD's have been ridiculous lately and I don't feel hungry throughout the day and eat consistently, but as soon as I get home I just want to eat until I should have stopped eating 30 minutes ago. I don't know if it's a stress thing or a cold weather thing, but I'm trying my hardest to get my head on straight.

It is nice to come on here and see that a lot of other people are battling the evils of food.

So far a nice 5. Tea with lemon, coffee with cream, and lemon water.
I'm getting ready for some broth. Trying to stay liquid today. I'm not hungry but its only 11 a.m. here.

Had a late dinner with daughter last night, we went to a Mexican restaurant, so my tummy is most likely still happy with that.

And I'm pretty darn sure the ptero helps lots too!

LOL, you guys are killing me! I want to come for tea too!

I'm feeling middling today. I still don't feel 100% over my cold, but I don't think I'm sick, either. ???

I'll give it a 4. I'm sort of tired-- the tea this morning didn't zing me as I would've hoped.

yesterday was supposed to be DD but I failed horribly. I was fine till I got home and something went pop and I ate junk and more junk. So far today has been good. I got to get out of work and try to keep busy at home tonight. I am going to texas roadhouse tomorrow night for dinner so I keep telling myself that is my reward if I pull off a good DD today.. grrrr..... I can feel the extra bloat from too many UDs.. not happy..

I love reading everyone's posts here.

So, it's 12:30 and I just drank a big glass of ice water with juice from a whole lemon squeezed in. Now my tummy is growling like crazy. I think I'm going to have to put something solid in. Time to start chopping up crunchy veggies I think.

I can get long-winded myself.

My DD is a 5 so far and it's nearing time to go home. Here at work it's always a breeze. It's home where I have to keep my mind occupied! Most of my DDs are easy, and I dread the one oddball one that has me ready to cave. Tomorrow will be weigh in day. Already trying to get my head straight in case it's not what I would like to see. I mean ... 10 lbs. in a week ain't too far beyond the realm of possibilities, right?

DD is going great but I am FREEZING. This hasn't happened to me in a very long time but then I have been maintaining for a long time and I am now trying to lose my Christmas gain. Brrr. and it is in the upper 60's outside. I thought we were getting another cold front. NOT. Just me. I am going to change into sweat pants and a sweat shirt to go feed the goats. Actually I am putting those sweats on over what I have on now.

I'm going to give this one a 4 as well. I've had 303 calories approximately. I think I over-estimated my coffee cals, as I ended up throwing away about half of my cup...I had 3 egg whites with 1 piece of RF bacon and 1 T of shredded cheese, and just now a bag of popcorn. I don't know if I'm done yet for the day either.

Slow - the shirataki or gluc noodles, or gluc-thickened broths and soups do not cause any hunger triggers for me.

This DD is only about a 2.5 for me. I ate some candy yesterday that was well within my UD calories, but darn it all, it apparently threw me out of ketosis and made yesterday close but not quite to an UUAD, and today I've been fighting the hungries all day. I'm going to have a huge bowl of gluc-thickened broth with shirataki noodles in a bit and hope that holds me through the evening (I struggle with late-night appetite).

6:30 pm here and all is well. I'll say 4+ for the day so far.

I'm at 240 calories. I didn't have the co, JayLynn. That was a good reminder though. Sometimes I forget.

We went to a movie. DH had his popcorn. I brought my ziploc baggie with chopped green pepper, celery and 1 & 3/4 oz of leftover sirloin steak from the fridge. I even weighed it on my food scale before I wrapped it in foil! Patting myself on the back for that.

I'm drinking more lemon water and hoping I can make it until bed time with no more calories.

If I can't sleep I'll have to get up and eat some yogurt or something to help me sleep.

This one is closing out as a 5. I made it to dinner on liquids, and then had a huge salad with ham and cheddar cubes and yummy Greek feta dressing. Totaled out at 519 calories - a little higher than I planned - but only about 5 net carbs. Ready for a nice UD tomorrow.

So far so good for Sat. the 11th DD. Slow I am comeing over tomorrow for tea. Just thought I would let you know ahead of time. It all sounds great. Library Girl thanks for telling us before Christmas about sweet cream I went out the next day and found it and have been using it quit often if I am staying low. Love it. Seebreeze I had the cake while I was there several years ago. Loved it too. My trouble is I love too much over there. Coffee is great too. It just don't taste the same here if we use the same brand. Oh and the pineapples are soooooooo much better there too. I have came over 2 times and just about floundered on pineapple both times. HEHEHE!!!!
