Slow!

Shelley, if I'm just absolutely starving, a 50-70 calorie package of tuna with a little yellow mustard gets me through beautifully. It's great protein, too.

Dawn, that is exactly what i have. I love tuna with some mustard is perfect. I also have 1/2 cup of greek yogurt which is only 60 calories.
Either way it will help. If i need it. Hopefully i can make it but im starting to cave!!
I'm feeling pretty hungry. I may have some hot cocoa and see if that will help.
It is half cup of coconut milk and 2T cocoa. 45 calories so really i might as well eat the real food. It would have protein and would hold me better im sure.

I had a small piece of homemade peanut brittle too!!! Good lord help me...lol

Thanks all. Day three with the migraine. I haven't had one this bad in over 10 years. I am blaming the weather with the pressure changes . Up down hot cold, rain clear. We can't decide what the weather is here right now. Hope it is gone when I wake up in the morning.
Otherwise I have had a decent day although I had 305 calories. Had soup for dinner since I feel better when I have a little meal with my poor head. Have to go milk and then I will be able to go to bed early and sleep it off. I hope.

Yesterday was a 5. Easy peasy day and came in at 337 calories. I needed it after the weekend's debauchery.

I'm thinking of not eating until dinner, and doing a fast-five sort of day (if you can do that after having HWC in the morning?). We aren't going anywhere special, so that could work. BF will probably want some kind of fast-food meal for lunch--his favorite McD's, but I don't have to partake. We'll see how it goes--just trying to get through this week without completely derailing everything lol.

Yesterday wasn't too difficult except for about two hours. I had my first 300 calorie day in over a week. Hoping I can get a few DD's in this week.

My down day is going okay. I'm not really hungry and that's a plus but just trying to get into a routine for the day. Still have a house full of people. That means still having to cook for others. The kids want to go to walmart to spend the gift cards they received yesterday. I'm hoping to stay busy so I dont have to think about food.

I'm at work, drinking my new tea from my new tea mug (thanks, Yennie!) and enjoying not eating after yesterday's FEAST. I'm planning to exchange my Jawbone UP (need a smaller size) after work if possible, so that'll keep me occupied. Hoping for a 5.

Some fence panels down nearby with today's wind and rain but we're still OK although the front garden has some standing water. More rain forecast for this week so we'll see what happens.

It's tempting to want stew but today is a DD so, sticking with the planned food and just back from today's session in the gym with trainer (normally Tuesday night but it was more convenient for him to bring it forward from New Year's Eve ).

Going to the cinemas shortly to see Frozen and possibly Desolation of Smaug which should take our minds off food for the evening.

So, today's probably a physical 3 (pretty tired) but an emotional 4-5.

Good luck to everyone with a DD.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I went MIA over the holidays last week - too much to do, too little time, and too many MD/UD's!

Today is my first DD in a few days, but it's going well so far.

We are still celebrating! The Holidays are not officially over until we watch sports and eat all day on New Year's day. Ha!

My DD today is really tough. It's because I had too much wine yesterday. We had company and we broke out the wine. I woke up hungry this morning and it's getting worse.

I'm going to have a hot drink with some evco and if that does not kill the appetite I'll have to have some serious protein. I've got leftover roast beef in the fridge or I can go for tuna or steamed tilapia or Greek yogurt.

My last DD was a breeze and yesterday I was not even hungry so no danger of going over.

I sure don't like this feeling! My tummy is growling so loud the neighbors down the street can probably hear it!!!

So far so good for me. I tried BPC today and it wasnt bad as I thought. I am allergic to dairy so I had to use Earth Balance vegan margarine instead of butter. It came out alright or maybe I just think that because I dont know what the real thing tastes like.

Try Coconut oil in your BPC,, I love it,, but you have to whip it up good, I use an immersion blender,, yummy.
My DD is good so far, but I am still at work. I am having my hubbys daughter and family over tonight,, so I am not sure how good I will be after they get there.. I made stuffed mushrooms, stuffed jalepenos, tacos, and cheese and veg platter.. oh I am not sure at all..

I agree with this - I make my BPC with MCT oil and no other fats - CO would be the same, and if you had the kcals to spare, some coconut milk in with that would be good.

There is a recipe for coconut-based non-dairy creamer but it depends on whether or not you can buy pasteurised eggs/can pasteurise them yourself or don't object to the salmonella risk of uncooked eggs.

Adapted from the blog, Following My Nose.

Pour a can of coconut milk (13.6 oz or thereabouts) into the food processor, add one egg and 2 tablespoons of melted but not hot coconut oil (or coconut butter). Blend until frothy - store in the fridge and use as a creamer by adding to hot but not actually boiling coffee. You can add spices or extracts such as vanilla, if you wish.

Slow- Thanks for the tip.

I forgot to mention that I added 2tsp of CO. Started slow since I'm not used to just drinking it. Plus I didnt want to add to much and stall myself.

I tried making liver and onions today. It was a total fail. I remember my mother saying that if you cook it too long then it gets tough but it seems the middle never really turned brown. So then I nuked it and well....that's when the fail came in. So I didnt eat it.

614 is the number I ended up with today. Was planning to stay under 400 but I just could not. I was too, too hungry.

Still, I feel it's a victory. I focused on protein and made it through the day without totally ruining my DD. Whew!

Now to go to bed early and wake up without the ravenous hungries tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

My dd was a big fail. I knew it would be. And I have No hope for today either. New years eve dinner party. Oh well. I just have to start the new year on a good dd!! I am making pork and sauerkraut but I can just eat a very small amount. There will be no dessert and my son is taking the rest of the cookies and fudge etc with him to a new year bash today!! one thing that is working in my favor is that I have learned to still keep my day super low in calories before the party's. It seems that helps me not gain too much. JUDDD has thought me well. Love it. !
