Whoops, fell flat on my face into a plate of Lebanese food.

Everything was going well then we decided to catch Capt Philips at a it's last showing THIS evening. Came out so wrung out that we decided to have a glass of wine and a meal.

So that was not a a DD.

My DD is going well. I am at work so there is only so much I can eat and I wont be home till about 9pm,, I should end this day with about 290.. still not much of an appetite from the gall bladder attacks.. I might make tomorrow and med up day as I have a girls luncheon on Thursday and I want to be able to eat and we are candy swapping, ugh.. ha

having a 5+ day today! it is soooo mind over matter with me. i have been so bad lately that there is just no option. today will be good, and that is that.

still going on 60 cals and water. i do NOT want to break the seal with any kind of food - once i start.... well, you know that story

Disaster. Saw the trap and fell right into it. Excellent morning and afternoon, went to a horrible film audition (my god, the bad ones are sooo humiliating), came home and ate my misery before I could get my self-talk legs under me. Rats. Thought I could do it.
Back to DD tomorrow.

Dawn, Colleen, thanks. Carol, I leave auditions like that saying, never again, I'll just write and direct. But the work is so much fun if you can get past the auditions that I keep going back.

Decided to eat despite my plan for a total fast. No, 3 oz of boiled chicken breast won't hurt me but I still feel upset. Must remember--perfectionism is what got me to 200 lbs, and now I am doing something different!

Spot on. Whatever part of your brain is telling you that something has to be absolutely one thing or another does not have your best interests at heart.

In general, on the topic of DD kcals, perfectionism etc., Mom2Boys started an interesting thread on this: I believe I had an epiphany.

Now - the reason behind this long winded demonstration is to show really what a wide range we really have with our DD's before any real damage is done. Perhaps if I normally were to be at 25% and 449 - when I go on a trip, I might be ok to instead stay in weight loss mode, but move up to 35% or 629. Hmmmm, or maybe even weight loss/maintenance - and be in the 700-800 range. ...

All of those options mean I can stay on track - maybe slow down a bit, but still stay on track and in control.

My point here is that just because you have determined your "business as usual" calories to be at a certain level, doesn't mean that you can't create a new "normal" for an event or a short period of time. If you normally eat at 358...just because you go up to 600 doesn't mean you "blew it" - it means you are just eating at a different weight loss level.

and she is so right. we get to thinking that if we have a 600 cal DD, we have "blown it". just ask my dh what he thinks of only 600 cals! in the big scheme of things our WORST DD is still better than what most people eat every day of the year

Pretty good DD here so far. I havent had anything but 1t of creamer in my coffee.
Drinking tea right now. I dont know if i will be able to go all day but im going to shoot for under 300. My last DD was 390 and that was my lowest so I'm going to try to just get lower and lower everytime.

Colleen i know what you mean about what dh thinks. I told mine i only had 390 calories on my last DD and that i was so proud of myself and he said i was crazy!!! He thinks this UD DD thing is nuts....lol

But at least he supports whatever i want to do. He will ask me on the weekends 'are you eating today?' LOL

He would much rather me do Mon, Wed, Fri as DD's and then eat normal on the weekends. I may do that when i hit goal but until then im going to really try to stick to the exact rotation.

A good DD for me so far. Only have had 40 calories. I just made a batch of cookies and I didn't have one bite of dough which is my weakness. I really feel like I'm more in control. My husband is on day8 of the plan and he is really trying to stick to it so that is helping me. You are all such an encouragement to me. Thanks!

Good DD so far here too. I have had 150 calories so far.

I may have an apple on the way home from work so i dont raid the fridge when i get home!! Or if i can stand it i will hold out and eat some soup with DH while he eats dinner.
That will put me about 225 for the day!!! Woohoo!! Lowest ever!!

I've had a pretty good day, but not a low one. I had coffee (130!), popcorn (100), salad (150), and still trying to figure out what else I can have before the day's done lol. Trying to keep it under 600 for the day.

I thought I would get in my DD even with going out to lunch. I only had coffee for breakfast and then half of a garden salad with some shrimp and chicken on it. But out water pump went out and I started stress eating late in the afternoon. One piece of candy led to a lot more. The new well pump is setting us back almost 700$. Not what we needed right now with Christmas. Came home and ate more dang candy and now wine. I have got to do good tomorrow. So mad at myself right now. I am not even eating dinner as I had too much junk!!!

If you're going to do a DD tomorrow, I recommend eating a good dinner tonight. At least a decent size portion of a protein and some veggies. Or just consider this a higher DD and don't worry about it.

Glad you ate dinner Brenda. You don't want to "punish" yourself just because things got a little out of hand today. You had stress and you dealt with it. So what! Tomorrow is another day.
