My DD is going well. I am out of the funk and feel so much better than where I was at on Monday. I did end up going over my DD calories by an extra 200 on Monday night but considering the evil mind space I was in it could have been worse so I'll take it.

It is so cold today and I'm bundled up in an extra sweater and have the space heater going in my office. It's noon and all I've had so far has been coffee w/h&h and hot tea.

Sorry for the goofy question.
I use/d my current weight.

By and large the only goofy question is the one you don't ask Always better to ask because someone else is probably wondering about the same thing.

I'm thinking goal weight is the number....

Not goofy at all. These little details make all the difference in success or failure. I use my current weight. And then I keep using those calories until it stops working and re-calculate.

I'm so glad you're feeling better today! I think you did great sticking with your DD feeling like you did.

This DD is good so far. I have the nice, empty feeling I love so much. I think I'll be making rumballs later today, and maybe even some gingerbread men. Crazy, but I like cooking on DDs.

Yup, current weight it is Blonde.

Glad you are feeling better Mary Ellen.

Hope you get through the cookie exchange Terri… feeling lighter will help.

I am having a great DD, a 5+.

Soya coffee this morning, mushroom 'cup o soup' for lunch and now a cup of tea.

Cabbage tonight.

Lol, oh that was nothing!! No, I think that was Beeb? Or Yam-Yam who was laying on the tracks. However, that is the perfect avatar for when one is feeling deflated at not losing!

This is what I'm hoping for and what I try to look at with everyone's numbers, too. There are times I look at the numbers and wonder just how anyone DOES lose on JUDDD because of all those darn bounces!! But, enter Dawn, Carly, Carol, and others and there's the proof.

Haha, I don't think it was Beeb or Yam Yam (lying on the RR tracks), but I can't remember her name. I know she said she and her husband travel a lot... haven't seen her around in a bit.

My DD has gone pretty well. I was freezing and kept turning up the heat lol. Then, I started cleaning house...now I've had to turn the damn thing back down. I'm feeling a little weak, but I know it's just from exertion...at about 130 cals (because I threw away most of my last cup of coffee) now. Thinking about salad w/boiled egg and bacon for dinner. Only because I have no intention of going out and buying anything else!

I'm quitting smoking today cold turkey and I just dont know what is me and what is withdrawals. I'm at 200 cals right now. I only have 225 left. Think I'm gonna finish the day off with 2 meals of soup at 110 each.

Wow Shay, quitting smoking and starting a new WOE all at once. I'm so very impressed with you! Good luck to you on both fronts. You will gain so much health and vitality with these two changes.

I think it's Luna Loca who was pictured laying across the RR tracks. She hasn't been posting, but I hope she's doing well. Luna, we miss you!

Still doing okay today. I'm having my 2nd Chobani right now to banish the hungry feeling until dinner.

I got my rumballs made this afternoon, and I didn't have a bite. There were a couple of times I almost mindlessly popped one in my mouth, but caught the thought before it turned into action. I'm very pleased with that, and pleased that this Christmas task is now complete.

GG Carol on catching yourself. I am a big taster when i cook and today I had to cook supper. You did better than me. I mindlessly tasted the mashed potatoes. Funny thing probably is I wont even go near them tomorrow.

I'm doing ok so far physically but mentally I'm struggling today. I broke down and bought a new pack of cigarettes. It was too much. I have to figure something out becuz DH and I are trying to conceive via IVF and I have to be smoke free to get the doc's recommendation (if I get it they pay for it). The task is lose to weight and quit smoking. 2 of the hardest things for me in order for them to pay for it.

Going okay today. I like to cook on DDs too! Today I made three batches of Maria's sub rolls, because the first two flopped- and I have been making these things for ages. Third batch is cooling now, but I won't know if they turned out until I cut into them. The good thing about making these on a DD is there is absolutely no "gotta taste this dough" factor for me.

I also made a big pot of chicken soup, and a batch of Buttoni's dumplings turned into noodles, which will be tomorrow's lunch or dinner, if DH doesn't eat it all tonight.

So far I've just had a couple of cups of coffee with a little coconut oil, and a wild cherry diet pepsi. I'm going to have some type of sandwich in about an hour, just not sure yet if it'll be turkey or FF Hebrew National hot dogs.

2256 up / 564 down at my current weight ...Seems like a lot to me

If I use my ideal weight it's 1689/422

I can see recalculating as we lose.

Thanks everyone for your responses!!!

So far I haven't changed from my start weight. 1800/365

Today was good.
I got very busy this afternoon, after only eating one cup of cabbage soup. Had a dozen 10-11 year olds at my house to make cookies, and I allowed myself one swallow of punch and one thin undecorated sugar cookie.
Now I'm eating a second bowl of soup and will call it a day.

Shatony, good luck to you. That's the greatest motivation ever. BTDT, btw, not with the smoking, I mean.

Today is DD#6, and at 11:20 am while I don't feel hungry at all, I do feel sad and lonely and overwhelmed and frustrated. Partly it's that TOM, partly just life stuff. This is where eating would have totally filled the space and acted to sedate and distract. And today I'm not doing that. So I'm going to have to do something else!

Going to have a coffee and try to be methodical about my to do list.

I had my worst DD ever yesterday. For some reason I was STARVING all day long. I ate lunch then ate it again mid-afternoon then had a small dinner too. Then I itched all night. Maybe losing fat or ate something I should not have but my food choices were my regular foods. Hope for an easier DD tomorrow.

So, about the calculator/weight thing. Has anyone ever used their desired weight to calculate? I know it shouldn't work as it would be probably telling the body it's way underfed, but have been wondering if it might help slow losers. Like moi.

Having an excellent DD so far. Having dinner out tonight and thought about making this another UD, but figured I'd do it roughly Fast 5 style. Nothing but liquids with just a little butter or cream in my tea or coffee. So, it should be a MD - hopefully - when the day is over. Since I was back up to my starting JUDDD weight, I didn't want two UDs in a row.

Oh brother 2 DD's in a row really stinks! Gotta hang on. Day is half over now. So far I've only had my h/h ff creamer for 20. Saving calories for Chili and crackers for dinner. Warm and yummy!
