WOE: Going back to JUDDD
I need to switch up, too, and was thinking of making today another UD. But, am up after yesterday's UD (I know it's water retention but still...) so I'm sticking with my DD today. I'll add in a MD later this week. I need Sunday to be an UD, and than if I follow that rotation I'll be on track for Christmas Eve with a second UD Christmas Day. I want my sirts to be firing full speed ahead for that lol.

I'm feeling relatively fine today. I just started feeling a little hunger which is good. I've been eating a little higher on my DD's and that appears to be jump-starting the weight loss again. I intend to head to the gym so I will most likely eat a little more at lunch today since I don't plan on eating dinner.

Vacation starts Saturday and I'd like to at least have the next 5 days for decent EODs.

Colleen, I'm the same way! I do okay with just liquids until dinner but then have a hard time reigning in the urge to snack in the evening hours - whether I'm hungry or not!

I'm struggling mentally today. One one of those out-of-sorts day where I'm unhappy with most everything - job, husband, finances, my life!

But at least I'm not eating!! Hopefully will do better tonight than how my last two DDs have gone.

Sorry to be such a downer!

Mary Ellen, I have those days too. It's good to know that others go through it. I think Colleen is right about this time of year--it does seem to bring out the doldrums along with the happiness.

My DD has gone well. I'm only at around 80 calories at 7 pm, and I've made a pot of chicken noodle soup that I will eat for around 200 cals. Maybe I'll have another 1/2 serving too. Either way, I should be good. Nice to get through another successful DD.

Good going, Shay!
DD7, here. I'm over on every UD - that is what happens with me unless I exert a level of self-control that is beyond happy or relaxed - so I adore DDs and am extremely happy to see my posterior muffin top dwindling slowly.
Today I'm doing eggs and broth. Very content. Won't rate it out of five until later in the day.
I'm surprised at how much I enjoy not weighing. This may change, later, but it suits me well at this stage.
Happy day, all.

Mornin' JB's!

DD for me today. I hate the scale. Jus' sayin'.

Carol, I never thought to do my DD meal at lunch. It just happened to work out that way 2 times last week...and to my surprise it was a good thing.
I can't rate my day yet.... maybe a 4, for now.

It's interesting because eating your main DD meal at lunch is what the "Every Other Day Diet" author, Krista Varady recommends. I think she said on her FB page that there will be some studies done on how spreading your eating throughout the day vs eating at specific times during the day actually affects weight loss. I'll be interested to see what those reveal.

Haha! You're so sweet! I guess my main secret is this board and trusting the JUDDD process. You guys really keep me going and motivated. And just sheer will and determination. I have wanted to get this weight off with more passion this time than I usually have, and it sure helps. But I've been losing since January 2012 - almost two years now! - and I'm ready to get out of WLM and into maintenance. Can't happen soon enough!

Today was truly a 5, which is only fitting as it is DD 5 for me. Didn't feel hunger all day, not the slightest bit until nearly 8pm. Sat and had a 300 cal dinner with my girls, plus 50 cals for some ff dairy and cocoa. I feel fantastic, very comfortably satisfied and much less tired and frazzled than usual. I'll take it!

Today's a "4", which is usual for me. I don't have the total description of a "5", meaning I can be having a great DD but could lay right out on my desk and take a snooze.

I'm fighting with my head. I love everything about JUDDD except the fact it seems to take forever to lose anything. I absolutely HATE the bounces. After I have a good drop, the bounce back up for days on end - even with good DD's - throws me into a mental tailspin. But, I'm hangin' in.

A five today. Excellent. I am of Nilla's persuasion. The bounces are not good for me. I think I'm okay with them and then I end up reacting.
Love, love, love the no weighing. Over two weeks, my pants are getting more comfortable and I feel an elevation of mood with the changed eating. I am certain I would not be losing quickly enough or steadily enough to keep me happy and motivated if I were watching the numbers.
There are other times when I need the scale in order to stay on the wagon. Hope I'll know when it's time to pull it out from under the bed.
I am encouraged by reading here. Thanks to everyone.

Kristin and Nilla I'm with you. I HATE fighting with my head..and yet I do. I hate the frickin' slow moving razzle frazzit scale...and yet I still weigh in. I didn't think there was any way I would make it thru a DD today...but I did.

Here's to us 'losers'.....may we actually, you know...lose.

i have to say... it IS slow going. i have been looking at everyone's weigh in numbers and we all pretty much do the same thing. but in the END - that last day of the month - almost every single person is lower than the first day. no matter how many times you see the same number, 2 above and 2 below, all week long.... in the long run, that final number is lower than in the begininng. that is what keeps me going.

It's noon here and I've had my usual MCT-enriched coffee so I'm not peckish. I'm aching a fair amount and if I opt to take some pain relief later then I prefer to eat something with it so I might have some shirataki noodles in broth.

Mentally and emotionally, I'm robust enough to embrace this DD

OK KIDS!
It's an DD here in cold snow covered SW Missouri.
I feel strong today with having it be a dd.
I'm already trouble shooting on how the witching hour at 2pm begins today for the
Cookie exchange party.
I do feel like I have less middle section today, finally the five pounds missing are noticeable, to me.
Power be with us!

Hey JUDDD BUD's!!!

I have a question....

When you calculate your up day calories...do you use your current weight or the one you want to achieve?

I'm thinking goal weight is the number....

Sorry for the goofy question...I have the book but I'm wondering how you all do it.
