Christine- lol at the mysterious peppers! How did that happen?

I find I like spicy more now than before. Maybe bc I get cold more now. Dunno, but I'm adding franks hot sauce to miso soup, chicken broth, etc.

2 of my teas have chili! Mango diablo so mango green tea with chili and chili threads , and chocolate chili is chai with chili flakes (I sometimes add more).

Maybe dry your peppers, and you can grind and keep them longer?

Mornin' Ladies! I had a successful DD yesterday, it's a bit easier since I can't smell or taste anything.

Yay for mystery peppers! One year we grew a huge tomatillo plant and have no idea how we got it....

I put hot sauce in everything (practically)...seems like the lingering burn reminds me that I actually ate something....

Up day for me....meh, still can't smell much....

You guys have me wanting some broth with hot sauce today. I have a bottle of chipotle sauce that I have barely used, so I may put that into use soon.

I had some serious tummy grumbles this morning! It's funny, whenever my tummy growls the loudest is rarely when I really feel unbearably hungry. I can ignore grumbles and growls easily, but head hunger can really get me.

I have been snacking all day. I don't know what went wrong with this DD. I haven't been eating anything high in calorie just snacking for some reason. I cannot wait to get to Chickboxing class so I can burn some of it off. Hopefully the snacking is done for the day.

DD Wednesday

So far I'm at 5. I've had 100 calories of coffee, light toast and eggbeaters, I'll chicken broth (if I need it) and water until dinner, then chicken breast & salad with Walden Farms dressing! This adds up to about 470 for the day. I still can't really smell anything, that makes it a bit easier for me.

HUNGRY DD today...
Could be due to the carby dinner & mini binge I had last night...
Dinner was cheap, but that's about all the good I can say about it - ramen noodles, tuna, shredded cheddar.
Then my brain (and mouth) did the typical back and forth between salty & sweet the rest of the night - fritos, kit kat, doritos, ice cream.

So today's DD might be a bit higher than usual, because I ate breakfast. But I'm trying to stay strong and stick to the plan!

When you're broke, cheap garbage still isn't always better!!!
The better I eat, the more satisfied I am, and the easier it is NOT to binge! LOTS of food costs MORE than healthy food...

My DD today comes after about 4 MDs due to sore throat and feeling icky. I sympathize Blonde - I hadn't had a sore throat in years, but a co-worker shared her's with me. grrrr

I've had lots of liquids today - coffee, chicken broth (forgot to try it with hot sauce) and ACV water. Also taking cold and flu meds to keep from sneezing - TMI !! UGH!!

It's hard to say if it's a good DD or not - I guess if the calories stay low due to the sore throat and the scale goes down tomorrow... I'll be happy about that at least. The suffering should come with some reward.

Well kept to DD cals but had that nauseous feeling today, you know the one when your body is begging you to feed it!! Have got a rotten old cold though so thats probably what made me feel so rubbish. Because I have felt so sicky I would say its only been a 2/3 today but calorie wise it has been a 5!!

Poor sick JB's!! I know how you feel!

Scarlett~ my DD calories were 625 yesterday, so not so great, either. I must be getting better because it was a 'food on my mind' day, all day. Still, 625 isn't horrible and I feel like I did well under the circumstances. Strangely, your tuna/ramen/cheese dinner sounds kinda yummy....Hope today is good for you!

Goner ~ FYI, never 'hot sauce' a sore throat. Unless you have a fire extinguisher...I sure hope you fell better today!

Jacci~ Boo to the rotten cold! Feel better!

Up day for me today and like most up days, all of the food I was dreaming of yesterday...sounds kinda 'meh' this morning.

I'm feeling much better, my throat is no longer sore and I can breathe through my nose (a major accomplishment).

Happy DD to those on one today. You can do it!!

I managed a very good DD yesterday - and thanks for the heads up blonde... never gave a thought to how hot sauce would go down a sore throat. Still have a sore throat today but I bet it won't interfere with an UD.

Starting the UD with a presale for Paul Simon & Sting tickets hope I get them-- 2 minutes till the sale starts

Took my vitamins and downed a huge glass of water, hoping that will last till about noon, then I'll do my water + protein shake.

Oh, almost forgot, have my caffeinated tea to sip this morning too.

I'm hoping for a really good DD today. At the end of Tuesday's DD, I felt great and had that "This was a really good DD" feeling instead of "Thank god that's over". Normally that would make me really excited to weigh the next morning, but alas, that's not in the cards for me for 3 more weeks.

Blonde, I'm glad you're feeling better today. And Goner, I'm sorry your throat is still sore. I absolutely hate sore throats - have had too many of those through my life.

Cindy, I hope your hungry feeling will pass and let you have a good DD today.

Soren, good luck getting those tickets. If you are caffeinated this morning, there should be no stopping you!

Amazing how some DD's are easy and some are so hard it's unfathomable.

I think getting your head (and keeping it) in the right place is so important. I know when I'm working, DD's are so much easier than when I have nothing to do. TV is a huge trigger for me, but reading isn't. One of the things that helps me is to remember how I feel when I don't make it. Not only am I disappointed in myself, but I have to start over and sadly I didn't get to enjoy the up day I was expecting. Anybody else feel like that?

So far so good. I hope I can keep this day low because my last two DD's started out well, but I ended up eating at the end of the day. Tonight I have class and I'm trying to stay hydrated.

LiLi-- what do you have planned, food-wise?

I'm learning DDs are all about planning (Blonde said it and I heard it!)-- maybe to help with hydration, try my trick of ultra-watered-down protein shake? Sip on that through your classes?

Blonde-- I know I can't post here when I'm off track, b/c if I say I'm following, I'm a hypocrite, and if I post what I'm *really* eating, I don't want people to know I'm in the throws of an off-track/UUAD/whatever... and I don't want to take people down with me, either.

I have to rethink that I guess... but as you say, I'm here now, and it's working!

Well, I am off track! Made Zoodles (zucchini made into noodles) and had homemade turkey meatballs with tomato sauce for lunch. I loved it so much I ate both DD servings and a bit extra! Now I have to hang on until tomorrow morning for more food . Not the way I Usaully handle DD but I guess this gives me an opportunity to try a different plan.
