I had a great DD. I am at 500 and maybe a little bit more, but I estimated high early in the day, so if I am over it's not by much. I feel completely satisfied and good with my choices.

This was a hard DD for me, ended up around 600 calories but still hungry. Going to go to bed soon, less temptations to snack.

I'm not exactly sure how to classify this DD, if that's what it even turned out to be. My body was telling me it needed more fuel about mid-day, so I fed it. I had some greek yogurt, a plum, some PB, and felt much better. I quit counting so it was probably more like a high MD. I'm going to stick with rotations and go into UD tomorrow. I'll trust my body to tell me what it needs, and hopefully next DD will be back to normal!

Good Morning Ladies!

I could sure use some tips on how to get back to JUDDDing. I can't seem to get more than one good DD...then nothing. I did it for a year with great success, I don't know what my deal is....

A little help?

Did you keep good journals when you were successful? I think I remember you were tracking pretty well. I'd go back and see what was working for you then, and try to replicate it.

If not, just try for a good mix of protein and bulk and see how you do. Some need all protein, or mainly fat, or bulky veggies. I do best with a good mixture.

Also, you could try starting at higher DDs, like 600-700, and gradually work your way down, if the lower calories are proving difficult.

That is so frustrating Blonde! I agree with Dawn. Planning is such a crucial feature for me. I feel I do best on those days when I have a firm plan. When I wing it, things can get dicey fast. Good luck, and we're here to buck you up when you need it!

Thanks Dawn! I do still have my JUDDD journal and you're right, I tracked every day. I know some days were hard but always doable. It weird how something that was such an integral part of my daily life has become such a foreign concept. I honestly believe its the only real way to get the rest of this weight off.

I think shooting for 500 and being okay with 600 or 700 is a really good idea. In fact, I went back and counted my breakfast and coffee so I'm sitting at 200 right now. I can make this a down day, with a bit of resolve.

Thanks again for your advice!

Thank you Carol! You're absolutely right! Planning is everything.

I had a 500 calorie DD yesterday. This is great! BUT~ the proof will be the 500 calorie DD I need to do on Thursday. One day I can do. I have high hopes and I'm feeling positive....a very good thing.

Today is going really well so far. I've had one bowl of cabbage soup and will have another one for dinner around 5. Hoping to stay under 400 for the day.

WTG! One dieting day at a time: DD. Enjoy your UD (un-diet day ) today!

Well, my DD is better, now that I've had something to eat. I've been starving all day. Hopefully, the rest of the day will be easier!

I now understand how people fast all day. Today has been a terrible day and whatever could go wrong has gone wrong here at work. I haven't even thought about food. I just want to go home and go to sleep, but no hunger.

Hey Cindy! It's amazing how good food tastes when you're really and truly hungry. Juddd definitely teaches one to know the difference.

Lili~ sorry for the terrible work day. Pretty soon you can rest (and have a bite).

I'm so sorry Lisa. Days like that really take it out of you. Be kind to yourself, rest, and try to enjoy not wanting to eat anything!

I'm calling today a 5 so far. My stomach doesn't feel hungry, and neither does my head. It's chilly here (72* high - hey, that's chilly here!) and I'm definitely having DD shivers, so it's coffee, tea and soup for me today.

Too early for me to say how my DD's going. But, I'm freezing too Carol and we're supposed to reach 72*. It's 48* right now outside, but I'm in at my desk in my office with a jacket, scarf, and mittens on.

Today's my UD, so I have a few hours to get a grip on myself.

My DDs are wicked hard. I get hungry, and then BAM, I lose the day. I'm not eating UD calories, but more like MD or higher.

I need to get hold of this situation. I'm considering doing shakes for a few DDs to try to get the SIRT going again, or something.

Bc whatever I'm trying now, is NOT working.

Thoughts? How do you get your mojo back?

Girl, it took me forever to get it back! I've wasted months and months not JUDDDing and regaining half of the weight. Here are some thoughts:

Resolve: Plan to down day and plan your food accordingly. Whether you do shakes or lots of veggies or boiled eggs, make the plan and stick to it. Divide the shakes in half and drink more often, Eat slowly. Sip water in between.

Relax: When you feel like your are going to cave...Dr. Johnson recommends meditation. Close your eyes, take four deep breathes, visualize yourself thin, wearing the clothes you want to wear in a situation you want to be in. I like to think about being thin and hiking in a beautiful place. Whatever makes you happy. Try to do it for 15 minutes. If you have time to eat, you have time to meditate.

Reward: Whatever it is you think you must have, wait til tomorrow. I do have to tell myself, I can have it tomorrow. One more day..or a great meal is only a day away. Things like that. It make whatever I waited for some much better and it gives me confidence in myself.

Keep your hands busy. Paint, draw, get a coloring book and crayons, crochet, knit, read, craft, sew...anything to keep your hands busy. You can't eat if your hands are already full.

Take a bath You can imagine it's difficult to eat in the bathtub...and a good time to meditate.

Take a walk

Call a friend

I hope this helps, it helps me.

Very Blonde!

I totally agree with the planning part. When I am struggling, knowing at the beginning of a DD what I will eat and when helps keep me on track. If I go into the day just having a calorie target but nothing else, I can easily get off track.

You can do it Soren! You've been in the "groove" before, so I know you can get back there!

Well a good DD although I do find them a lot easier when Im working!! One thing I like about a DD is not having to think about what to eat and I always cook the family easy meals on a DD too...gives me time to catch up on other things, like the ironing!! As you can see I lead an exciting life!

Take care all...xx

Hi all!

Checking in with my first JUDDD post. I just finished my second round of HCG, and I plan to do JUDDD for the 6 week interval before I can start another round.

After the first HCG round, I was able to "hold steady" for 6 weeks, but it was ugly. This time, I'd like to actually LOSE weight and maintain a some control. For me, that means low-carb most of the time.

So, today is my first DD. I'm hungry, but hoping to hang on until bedtime.

The meal planning is a breeze, as I've been on 500 cal every day for the last 6 weeks on HCG. So, I basically just continue with the same meals with a little more variety.

Fran! I'll bet planning is a breeze, and hopefully you'll enjoy having more freedom on UDs. Just an observation, it seems like some people coming to JUDDD from HCG get frustrated in the beginning because the weight doesn't come off as fast, or as linearly, as with HCG. Be prepared for that. But I do think this is a good plan for you to lose a little more while waiting for your next round. Good luck to you!

THank you Blonde! And Carol and everyone.

I *was* in the groove for quite a while, and I'm breaking my brain over what is different now.

Regardless, I just need to do it. I think the planning is key. I think the spreading the food out (I had gotten to where I was just doing a snack and a meal per DD, but I think I need to go back to the beginning and get things under control).

You guys are awesome. Thank you!

I started JUDDD on the 27th, so I'm still learning how to get control on DDs. Its so hard! Especially since I have my 2 yo granddaughter with me alot. Snacks everywhere!
I have no clue where todays calories are. I had a turkey patty (with cheese) on the bottom of a bun, broccoli, a latte, a 90 calorie cookie (oops!) and tea today. I am guessing 700 calories for today. No more eating!!!!

Just keep trying, Tammy. You can go up to 35% (on the JUDDD caculator) on DDs and still be in weight loss mode. It's so worth it in the long run. JUDDD has changed my life.

I made it through my Halloween DD! No candy, no tricks or treats... I have a couple of treats set aside for today, just a bite or two. I went to bed hungry for sure and was freezing in the night (very odd for me) AND I'm up really early today even though no one has to go to work here!
