Thank you! I will try that. I used to use ACV a lot and love the benefits.

Tina, you might want to read through some of our daily DD menu threads. You'll get tons of ideas for things to eat on DDs. You will figure it out. It took me several weeks to really get a routine for DDs, and even months to venture out and try new things.

I am having a decent down day - will give it a 4.

So far only 100 cals from -

coffee with almond milk
3 pkgs Knox gelatin w/ 1 tsp fruit fresh and a splash of mio

Dinner will be protein powder - 3 servings with a frozen banana and a tsp of tangerine peel

Slightly over 500 cals, but I am finding this to be the right amount of protein for me.

I am finding that bumping my protein intake on DDs is helping to curb overeating on my UDs.

Even though the scale is still being uncooperative, my body composition is improving based upon clothing fits and I'm maintaining my "low" weight attained thus far.

Hungry today, but TOM's knocking on the door. I was going to shoot for around 500 calories, but I think I'll end up around 800. This isn't a problem in maintenance though!

Welcome back, Cindy!!

Embrace a little hunger" -- I can get that!

but what do I do with the leftover hunger? I sure have a LOT of it on DD's now!

DD's used to be a lot easier. Now my tummy growls really loudly, especially in the evenings. (I find I lose more if I skip dinner, or eat at 3 or 4.)

Last couple of times I even upped my calories to 409 and 500. They usually stay under 300. I even added fruit, which is not low carb but low calorie. Still starving.

Oh, and I'm getting a headache. I'd like to blame it on calorie deprivation, but it's probably unrelated. I now get a migraine about 3 times a week. Some up, some down; no relation. But I have to wonder if you get "Induction Flu" symptoms from this? Okay, I'll stop whining. I'm still 12 pounds lighter and maintaining, instead of gaining.

Yes, headaches are common in the beginning, smallerizing. I remember having them too, but they should subside (at least as a result of fasting) after about 2 wks. Have you been JUDDDing since May? I just noticed your siggy...the induction "flu" should have passed by now. Also, for that gnawing hunger, have you tried chicken broth? It really seems to help me.

My DD is a 5! No unmanageable hunger at all today, and a very satisfying dinner. Now I'm trying to decide if I allow myself a dessert, just because I want one.

I was a little hungry yesterday for DD. I'd probably rate it a 6 though. I made my family one of my favorite meals (Shephard's Pie) and I struggled a little with not eating any. However, I saved a serving for me for today. Which is why this is a great plan for me! I'm not depriving myself of anything, I just have to show restraint. And I did.

That's great Tina. And your welcome for the acv advice.

My DD today is about a 4. I got a bit hungry and so had 50 calories of soup, I watered it down so it felt like more.

Interesting advice Kim, to add more protein to a DD to help with hunger on an UD. My UDs have been tough lately. Will try your idea! And good for your holding your weight steady and noting looser clothes!

I was freezing again, but that could just be my office at work. I did have to run to the bathroom more than usual, but constant urination has not equaled weight loss for me in recent weeks so I don't know what's going on. I'll give today a 5. I wasn't hungry and I had a meeting which meant I had to wait an hour later than I usually do to eat and I felt fine.

I am unusually rumbly today. So I think I can only give it a 3.5. I got too used to 3 meals a day in Italy...

So far I'm a 5, but it's only 10:45 am. This MUST be a stellar DD today. I sooooooo want to see 179 or even 179.5 on the scale tomorrow, and I'm having to have UD both Saturday and Sunday to switch my rotations, so I may not see it again for a few more days. Just head games, I know. At least I'm not feeling hungry at all. Hope that lasts!

An easy 5. Not hungry and have no desire to eat anything so I will end up with 75 calories in HWC for breakfast in my coffee.

Tonight my tummy is so noisy I may have to wear earplugs to sleep!!

Thanks for the suggestion of chicken broth! I happen to have some made. I'll throw some fresh herbs in there for flavor next DD. I wonder if some celery would be a good idea to put in it? Too bad I was so busy I didn't think to check in earlier today! I can't wait to try it out!

I had about 450 calories today, which was high. I'm pretty sure my UD was low yesterday, not by design but by being too busy to eat. I know, I know... medium days won't really work.

Overall it was easy, I was out in the garden planting perennials I found on clearance!!

Tina, I like your idea of saving a piece of the Shepherd's Pie! This is one thing I love about this WOE. You are always only one day away from yummy stuff!

Oh, and Cindy, no I haven't been JUDDDing since May, just since late June. I started low-carbing (Atkins) May of 2003 and lost 60 lbs, gaining it all back while on "maintenance." It obviously was not the WOE that will work in the long run. This one NEEDS to be the right WOE for me, because I just told two doctors that I can't try their plans until I try this first, and I've lost a little weight already.

Another huge help for heartburn is an ounce of pickle juice. Just swallow it down. It works right away. They say that is part of the reason pregnant women crave pickles. I don't know about that, but pickle juice has help my heartburn in the past. I never get heartburn anymore- Thank you JUDDD!

My dd was a 2. It started out great. Just coffee for breakfast and a 50 cal piece of cheese for snack. Then a hotdog around 3. 125 calories I think. Then we went to dinner for daughters bday and I had a spinach salad which had goat cheese, and dried cherries on it. And a glass of wine. Imam sure I am around 800. Boooo

It happens, 800 isn't too bad, you could have just abandoned yourself. It will be fine.

It is already 2.30 and I haven't eaten. Just starting to think about having something, maybe a low calorie chocolate drink, it is cold and raining here and that sounds warming.

Hoping for a 5 all day.

DD is going great. Only coffee today so far. I've decided to allow myself 500-800 calories today, because I have been allowing 2 UDs on the weekends for a month now. I figure a high DD instead of 2 UDs should definitely work (better at least).
