I am having a hungry DD. I have to give this one a 3 for hunger, and a 5 for resolve. My stomach has been growling every since I got to work at 8:30 am. I will stick to the protocol, but could go to 500 before the day is done. No problem.

I'm not hungry, but sort of feeling rebelious against DDs in general. Must reset my thinking if I expect to succeed, that's for sure. I'd call today a 4 - hope my outlook changes.

I went through that, Goner. I now have a greater respect for the DD. It's not just a day for me to suffer, but a day that allows me to have freedom from traditional dieting Every Other Day!

I know just what you mean Goner. I've had that feeling several times this past year on JUDDD. It does pass, especially when you have nice losses and get re-motivated.

I'm at a 4 today. I've had some tum-grumbling and have been rethinking my eating plan for the day. I don't want to go over 400, so I'll be juggling. But I'm determined to do it!

WTG LCG!! I have refrained from eating all day, and still at 110 from this morning (coffee). I hope I can keep mine below 500, but not promising anything better than that!

I just love lurking the JUDDD forum. No matter how down I feel about weight, dieting, WOE, food etc I always feel better after lurking here. I love the way you ladies and in particular the vets here are so happy, friendly and positive. I always get a sprinkle of fairy JUDDD dust here. When I deal with these bingeing issues I hope to return to JUDDD. IF really works best for me. I think my DD's were too low, but anyway I will sort that out; I know my bingeing is a serotonin/brain issue that may be related to a lack of carbs and I just need to be my own guinea pig and crack this monster. I've got pre-orders on Dr J's new book and Krista's book as well, both coming out in the New Year and I'm so pumped to see what new info Dr J has come up with. Krista recommends one meal a day around lunch as working best in her trials and I think this really might be a good idea for me when I get back on this WOE. Anyway just wanted to let JUDDDers know how much you are all appreciated.

Woke up with a headache this UD... Hoping that it doesn't cause a "can't figure out what satisfies" binge. So far, all I've wanted is coffee. Need to make sure I include water too so I don't get dehydrated & make the headache worse!

Great to hear from you MC! I'm sorry JUDDD wasn't working for you, but I'll bet you'll be able to try it again later. I'm so glad you haven't given up coming in here for some motivation and fairy JUDDD dust (I love that!). You are more than welcome to post anytime. Once a JB, always a JB! I'm looking forward to the new books coming out too. I sure hope the IF research continues and this/these WOEs gain some real traction, both in the medical community and the public at large.

I'm having a hungry start to my Down Day today. Hoping to keep busy to keep my mind OFF OF IT!

I'm also having my first cold bath of the season today, and I am somewhat apprehensive. I know I'll be more psyched after I have done a few, but that first one is a challenge!

I woke up hungry, but it passed with coffee. I've just had my Quest bar, so we'll see how the day goes.

We had a rocky morning. Keira (who we all know is amazing and brilliant and beautiful and can do no wrong), was very forgetful this morning. She has a special "snack" today in class, where the kids get to bring in something to eat. We spent a crazy amount of time last night coming up with something healthy for her to take, and made a special trip to the store. I then told her to put her apple and trail mix in her backpack so she wouldn't forget them.

As we were leaving the house this morning, in the car, she told me she forgot her sweater. No big deal. We went back inside and got it. We got halfway to school and I asked if she packed her snack. She did NOT. Then she was very upset and emotional, crying even. Oy vey! When will this puberty thing pass?! So we stopped at a convenience store, where, luckily they had trail mix and a banana. Then she was overly thankful.

We get to school (she's in a before school program) and I get her all signed in, and realize she's not wearing her sweater. Back out to the car we go.

The extra time all this took made my commute, which is usually very short, quite long and traffic was a nightmare.

It's 7:45 a.m., and I'm hoping the day gets better. First world problems.

Juddd-wise, it's a decent DD so far, though.

Hey, mojo, good to see you! I'm glad you're lurking a bit, but you should really pop in and say HI more often! Who cares if you're "officially" juddding right now or not? We don't!

sirtain, how'd you do?

Scarlett, hope the headache stayed away!

Dawn, awww, poor you & Keira both! Jenna has been grumpy ALL.THE.TIME these days. I'm going out of my mind! I think part of the problem is she's overextended herself with extracurriculars (on top of her usual gymnastics, we have had cheer & now she has started BBall as well! She has something every day except Sunday!). The mood swings, though. OY!!!

DD here & I'm hungry. I have spent a bit of time getting my fall decorations out but think I'm going to escape out for a bit to get my mind away from the STUPID M&MS!!!! <doy! Why do I have them in the house?!?>

Having a bit of a stressful day here today with a bad neighbor situation. When I'm having an acutely stressful situation, my appetite disappears, so it's making for a very easy DD. Zero calories so far today, but I'm behind on drinking liquids too. I need to get on that right now.

Sorry to hear that LCG. We have had some stressful situations with our neighbors as well. It's tough living so close to people you cannot get along with. My dream home will be in the mountains about one mile from any neighbors.

Didn't get home until 4am and then of course my internal alarm clock woke me up at 8am for Zumba. After Zumba I came back home and passed out. So the whole hunger thing was a moot point. I'm going to have dinner around 6pm. I'd give today a 5 for hunger and a blah for overall well-being.

Today I'm STARVING! So is that a 5 or a 0? LOL. I can never remember.

I've had so far at 2pm:
3c black coffee
2 stalks celery (20)
1 wedge Sonoma Jack's Jack Cheese (25)
1 cucumber in 2 tbsp. vinegar (25)

I'm looking forward to dinner tonight (chicken fingers and zucchini with garlic and parm). Then sf Jell-O for dessert. Can't come soon enough!

Weekends are just odd... And can be so tempting!
I did ok pretty much... Was feeling really hungry earlier in the afternoon... So much so that I almost asked DH to take me to Bob Evans while we were out shopping. But I didn't cave... Cooked some burgers on the grill as I had planned for dinner and the one burger... (and one hot dog) filled me up just fine. I really didn't feel the need for the chips and homemade salsa I ate later... Just the "better get it before its gone" mentality... Ugh! Only dished up a small serving though, rather than munching right from the bag of chips... So didnt go crazy overboard...

Hungry and discouraged. I'm not losing anything really, but at this time of the year I usually gain, even if I'm dieting. So here's a very weak "Yay, me."

Had coffee with 2 tsp cream and a wedge of low-fat Laughing Cow cheese for breakfast. Last DD I went up to 500, which was very unusual for me, I usually stay at about 300 or less although I'm allowed 420.

I have leftover Eye of Round roast in the fridge, which I will have for lunch and probably dinner. I guess I need to go out and buy some lettuce or cabbage to fill me up, but if I go to the grocery hungry, nothing good can come of it!

Sorry to be a whiney baby today.

Today is my first DD. It's 11:30am and so far, I'm not hungry. I have heartburn though and the only thing I have to take are Tums which are 50cal each. Hoping it passes.

I'm trying to wait until dinner to eat so I'm not hungry by bedtime. I've been browsing the recipe threads and can't seem to find anything I want or have the stuff for. I'm not sure what I'm going to eat. I don't think I've gone into this very prepared. I intended on staying low carb but it doesn't seem many of you are so maybe I'll venture out.

Tina, it works best for most of us to stay low carb on DDs at least. You can add veggies for volume, but "white" foods tend to induce hunger and cravings. At only 500 calories for the day, you don't have time for that. Good luck and keep asking questions. We'll get you through it!

My DD is going well. I've had one cup of coffee w/SF peppermint mocha (30), 1 piece of bacon (30), and 1/4 c. vanilla greek yogurt and 1 oz of strawberries (48). It's unusual for me to eat this early, but I'm experimenting...probably won't do the hourly thing the rest of the day, but wait until dinner. Keeping it 400 total or below.

Although it sounds weird, a tsp or two of apple cider vinegar in a big glass of cold water will stop the heartburn in its tracks! Works immediately also... you could look it up online, but definitely works for me and many others! I actually get to where I crave the acv and water for my drink choice! It also helps with any bloat - you'll spend some time releasing extra water! <wink>
