If my head would not hurt I would be happy. It is so hot here that I think that is part of the problem. I just had a big cherry SF snowcone and feel so much better.

My DD has gone pretty well. Have had hunger, but not to the point that it's driven me to eat (much). Having some cabbage and chicken right now, so will be satisfied for the evening (unless I have a coconut bar later!).

Adi, I know that you know your own body well, but could you be dehydrated a bit? That might be why the snowcone was helpful. Anyway, glad you're feeling better now!

I could easily be dehydrated no matter how much I drink right now. It has been over 100 degrees every day and I have to do outside chores in the scalding heat. Will be so glad when it gets back down below 100. Part of it is probably getting too hot and not enough water. Wish I could stay inside all day but can't.

I know how you feel. It has been smoldering here too. Fortunately, I don't have to be outside very much. Inexplicably, yesterday was actually cool, and this morning is cool. Loving it, and sending some cool vibes your way!

No real hunger today so I'd give the day a 5 for that. On the other hand I am completely exhausted today. I woke up with so much energy to burn. Cleaned out the clutter in my closet then headed out for the gym and errands. Since then I have been miserable. On my way out to celebrate a friends birthday, but I am definitely looking forward to bedtime.

Yesterday was one of the worst DDs I have had in weeks. I realized in the afternoon that I forgot my pterostillbene and I have been taking 150 mg every day, both UD and DD. It could have been that. Then I made the mistake of eating some cinnamon pop cakes - at 26 calories each, I didn't stop till I had 8 of them. And I had already eaten 250 calories for the day. For me the carbs in the pop cakes (brown rice) triggered me to want more and then it was white knuckling till bedtime, listening to my stomach growl.

Today though I awake on an UD and am not hungry. Love JUDDD on UDs - and usually at least "like" DDs but not yesterday.

Goner, I'm sorry this is a rough one! They do come around every so often, I've found, and out of the blue usually. You'll get through it and tomorrow is UD! YAY!

Good going Starrhae! Not being hungry when you think you *should* be is a great feeling.

Mine is probably a 5. No hunger and I've had a couple hundred calories in HWC so far. I am looking forward to my tilapia dinner later, but no problem waiting for dinnertime.

5 for me, hunger-wise (though I'm eating pretty closely to UD calories up until dinner now on DDs), but I feel weird, headachy, and a little nauseated. Hope it's not the flu. REALLY hope it's not an unexpected miracle.

Don't say that Dawn. I shouldn't laugh but really one miracle is probably all you need in your life...

First DD since getting home from Germany, indeed first for about 2 weeks.

4.5 I guess, I can feel the hungries a bit. Time for another Ptero, I decided to spread them out through the day, but have just realised I haven't taken any more since my 50 this morning.

TOM has not visited yet, and he's NEVER late! I actually went last night and got a test at the drugstore. All's right with the world. Just waiting for TOM to confirm it.

Maybe TOM was scared away by the trauma you suffered from your accident? At any rate, I hope you get the answers you want (regarding potential miracles, thyroid situation, etc.).

Kissa Glad You Are Home

Really can't wait to hear your stories..How was the food? I loved eating out
when I lived in England.

It's too early to know how I'm doing. So far just a couple hundred calories
of HWC with my coffee. Post poning as long as possible before eating solid
food. I do have a nice dinner planned.

Off I go to make some salsa from our garden. Have the tomatoes peeled and
we have a nice crop of jalapenos. The cilantro quit awhile back, but we found
some at the farm store nearby. Still have plenty of Meyer lemons and chives.

Wish I could share my produce with you all. We have a small but mighty garden.

It's Eddy's Creamy Coconut Bars (frozen). They are 120 calories, but I always save room.

Welcome home, Kissa!

Dawn, you're too funny! Did the rabbit live?

My DD is going ok, besides being completely run down from running errands all day long in between work, every day this week. I have hip pain and neck pain. Hoping an ibuprophen will help.

Once I got myself to tge gym after working 14 hours I started to feel better. Working out EOD has done wonders for the stress. Only time my mind turns off.

For the past week all DD have been 200 calories or less and I'm completely satisfied. Is this getting easier or stress resulting in little to no appetite. Hmm...

Are you eating fine on UDs, Lisa? If so, I wouldn't worry. I have never done that low of a DD. Not that I couldn't, but I just don't. I will get into the habit of lower DDs next month.

I almost always eat my UD calories and usually try to keep my dinner high in protein. That seems to help. When I fall under 100 calories of hitting my UD calories I feel hunger all day the next day.

Trying to just do coffee until dinner. Trying to keep busy since I'm off from work. Being in the house all day it is tempting to go to the fridge! I already walked the dog once, going to start some paperwork and watch a DVD then going to take another walk!

I haven't attempted a true DD since my last struggle on Monday. Today, before I get derailed too much - I plan a true DD. 350 calories max! I was trying not to write down everything and count calories, but eat what I thought was ok. It backfired, so for now - I'm back to recording and leaving carby foods alone for the most part. They definitely give me the munchies.

I'll claim a good DD - a 5! And see how it goes...

Had a definite 5 today. Last day of work before vacation turned out well. I only ate lunch and that came to 114 calories. My body has been loving my DD lately and finally needing to force the UD calories. Only took six months. Interestingly, I wasn't able to go to the gym today and all I did was think about the workout that I was missing. Who would have thought that'd ever happen.

5 for me today. I've had some hunger-grumbles today, but have been able to ignore them exceptionally well. Since starting JUDDD, I've learned interesting things about myself. Like I have two different kinds of hunger. One is the kind I feel today, which is grumbly and slightly gnawing, but not uncomfortable at all. I call that "stomach-hunger" and I can easily ignore it. The other kind is what I call "head-hunger" and it's harder to ignore. It's not at all physical, but just wanting to eat something. That one's dangerous!

I have also learned that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the flat stomach feeling I have on DDs! When a DD gets rough, I try and really feel that feeling and it helps me get through the day.

Carol you are so right.

I took some time out today to reread the first half of Dr J's Alternate Day Diet and The Fast Diet. Both authors talk about just this. And most of us long term JBs understand where they are coming from.

I am so pleased I decided to read these again. The science is so inspiring. Even if I didn't already love this WOE today's info would have made me want to do it.

Embrace a little hunger. It is the sign of healing.
