It doesn't seem possible at the outset but DDs do get easier, don't they. Good for you for persevering.

Oh yes - days like that. If you can survive that on a DD, you're pretty much ready to take on anything.

It was starting out to be a good day. I took a pterostilbene capsule for the first time about an hour and a half ago, and now I am feeling ravenous. I hope this goes away once I've consumed my coffee; otherwise, I predict a very tough DD.

I think some others reported that the first few times they took pterostilbene. Some them took another capsule and it improved but maybe others didn't have that response.

I hope it improves for you. Ignoring hunger is very distracting and can make a DD more of an ordeal than it needs to be.

Hello,

I took 1 on Saturday for the first time and had the same thing happen to me. I started taking 2 on Sunday and have ever since. I am good now, yesterday was a DD and I didn't eat anything until 5pm and it was a great DD, 338 calories for dinner. From what I have read, it takes a little bit of time for the Ptero to get into the system and to work. I am trying my best to be patient.

Having a 4 today, just feeling a bit peckish. Had fruit for breakfast which is probably the reason.

Took a couple of Psyllium capsules with a cup of Miso.

Wow, thanks you guys! That is helpful. I had my coffee and the hunger decreased a bit. I'll take another capsule later on if need be, but am hoping it won't be an issue. Trying to slowly work my way up to 100-150 mg per day.

Cindy, thank you so much. What a lovely compliment!

My hunger went completely away, and I have since only had non-calorie drinks. Perhaps after a week I will progress to two capsules in the morning with coffee. So far, no other side effects. Am really hoping this will be a good supplement for me.

I took two ptero this morning too, and have had no hunger.

ehh, going ok so far. Maybe a 3.5. It's hard for me to stop eating once I start,. So, I planned to skip breakfast and lunch and just do water with lemon until I got home from work. Tummy started rumbling about an hour ago so broke down and am having a no-sugar-added hot chocolate for 50 cals with an irish creamer for 35 cals. Total so far = 85 calories. Hopefully I can hold off on more food until I get home. I have a a chopped celery and tomato salad planned for dinner.

I'd have to say 5+ today. It's been very busy, and I haven't had anything but iced tea so far (2:20pm). I'm about to have my first "real" calories, since I don't count tea calories, in a nice cup of creamy coffee...mmmmmm. Feeling great, energetic, and slimmer today. Got checked out by some guy at Walmart this morning (he must like his women...um...curvy!)

Ditto plus I took another ptero after lunch just to be sure. I also had 2 L-glutamine with my 2 ptero this morning. I am becoming a supplement junkie.

Totally blew my DD. I was starving since morning and was trying to fill myself up with egg whites. Did not work, the day became UD and turned into UUAD

SlowSure- I am going to join you on leptin reset. I will be keeping my DD at 800 cal and higher carbs on UD.

I'm tired today. Yesterday I was eating everything in sight and today I just want to sleep. I can't wait for the week to be over.

So I'd give this DD a 4. I came in under calorie at 400 and I didn't end up with a headache or feel deprived.

Carly,

Was wondering, what do you have for bedtime snack? Is it like a mini meal? I know that you said you have around 300 calories on a DD.

I have been just having coffee with creamer in the mornings, skipping breakfast and lunch. I usually wind up with dinner anywhere from 4-6 pm. This seems to be working for me with my two ptero at 4:30 am.

Time for my Ptero and then a busy day packing dropping off the cats and generally getting stressed for no good reason.

No idea what I'll eat until this evening when Shiritake will feature.

I hope the cats are OK about it. And good luck with the last minute arrangements before your departure.

Shiritaki features for me tonight. DH loathes eating his dinner alone and I don't have enough calories to join him because the majority of mine are used up for breakfast on a DD (it's part of the leptin reset) - so, if this migraine lets up, I may well have a fat-free broth with shiritaki noodles, just to keep him company. It's a compromise from the leptin programme but it's worth it.

Eh, the late morning/early afternoon us usually hard for me. That part of the day gets a 3. After 2pm, I usually allow myself to begin hourly mini-meals, so the rest of the day is usually a 4-5.
