Thanks to some gluc pudding earlier, I am not feeling hungry at all. And, sorry if TMI, but I'm pretty sure that stuff is clogging up my insides. I have been downing lots of water in hopes of alleviating this problem. I'm loving the gluc and want to keep in my diet!

I feel for you elphie. That was one reason I stopped VLC. I would only go like once a week and it was unbearable. Maybe if you try pushing high fiber veggies on UD's? Good luck!

I've always eaten tons of fiber, so that's not it. Lots of water too and a daily probiotic. But I started googling around and found out that excessive fiber can actually stop you up! So my new plan is actually to reduce my fiber and see if that helps. I'm hoping to still incorporate some gluc in that reduced number because it's awesome on my DDs.

Are you taking magnesium? Invaluable for such issues.

Is this a common problem, does anybody know? I've ordered some Glucomannan because I read so many good things about it here.

Not yet, but I'm seriously considering it! I've been reading up on natural ways to clear up the problem and that one is popping up a lot. It also supposedly helps with anxiety which be a nice side effect.

If the internet is any indication, then I'm guessing no because in all my searching I really didn't run across many folks with the same problem. Usually it's the opposite effect!

elphie, totally TMI, but bathroom issues, for me, started just with fasting, period. I was thinking you wouldn't find the gluc as the cause of the issue (not that I know anything about gluc!). Hopefully your system will adjust and you'll feel better as you go along. I do think having less food in your body day in and out does make one visit the bathroom less often.

Having a good DD

Had my first meal at about 2 P.M.
Have lots saved for later. Did gardening for several hours this morning.
Feel pretty good!

Will come in about 525 cal. I think my max is 547. It's do able with lots
of things like chicken broth,lowcal/carb veggies and my beloved eggs.

Magnesium, potassium, calcium is your friend for life.
There is an herbal tea that I get at the Farm Mkt. nearby called
"Smooth Move" It really does the trick.

I made a recipe the other day that called for 2T of glucomannan for 1 serving and let me tell you.. it definitely didn't cause that problem, it caused the opposite! I won't be doing that again
Like any fiber, you need to make sure you drink plenty of liquids to move it through your system.

DD going well. I'd forgotten how much I like DD's. Must be my inner control freak

Thanks for the advice everyone! I went looking for magnesium citrate caplets last night and came up empty so I've ordered some. I'm already doing tons of water and probably too much fiber and also a probiotic so that seemed to be the next logical step as a natural solution. TMI alert: I did resort to a gentle lax last night to ease some discomfort but it's taking it's sweet time to work. LOL.

This should have been a DD but I was derailed by a wonderful bacon sandwich sitting by the beach in the sunshine this morning...so I will be having some wine tonight and calling it a fail.

Tomorrow is a good day for a DD anyway.

It happens Cindy. No harm in the long-term though, eh?

I'd have to say this is a 4. I'm not really hungry, but I've got a lot of growling tummy going on and it's a bit annoying. I hope my 2 fried eggs will be enough for me tonight. I'm going to work out with some heavier weights this evening so I want to make sure and get as much protein as I can.

Boo to the growling stomach Carol. Hope that goes away soon.

I was hungry earlier than I usually am, but today was also hectic and it's dreary outside. Since lunch I've been feeling fine and I'm hoping to get to the gym tonight. I am looking forward to my UD tomorrow because I have plans for my godson's birthday. Cake will be involved!

I had some wine last night. About 3/4 of a bottle. Tonight I am happy with diet coke.

About the growly tummy...lately I've found that not drinking as much fluids, but adequate amounts, during the day seems to quiet the growlies. I usually drink an excessive amount of fluids on DDs, due simply to wanting something to taste/do. I probably will drink more tonight though, but I'm over the hump now and will make to tomorrow just fine. Carol, yours might be due to losing nearly 10 lbs in a month!

Long hectic work day then working out at the gym I pretty much came home, ate dinner and passed out. Now it's 3am and I am wide awake. Not the greatest feeling after a DD, but hoping to start a movie and pass back out.

Yes, the wine was fun.

Hope you got back to sleep Lisa.

All set for a 5 today.

Zumba is done, always fun and the plan is for iced coffee and soup for the rest of the day.

I've seen people go higher on hacks, grammy. Most people don't count, but eat to satiety.

My DD is going well. I've eaten dinner early and had nearly all the calories I'm alloting for the day, but feel completely empty. I think I'm shedding some water weight today, because I peeked at the scale earlier and was lower than I was yesterday morning after my last DD. Hence, the greater hunger.

Magnesium changed my life! Literally, I had to go off of VLC for this reason: it was killing me. And no amount of additional fiber would work.
I actually take two Magnesium a day now and have NEVER felt better in that department. I am so grateful I started taking it. Good luck!

Yesterday was actually a great day. I had no hunger and I didn't even need to drink fluids the way I usually do. If all my DD felt that way I'd be the happiest chick ever.
