My DD is ok so far. Last DD I went to bed hungry and didn't like it. I'm hoping today is not like that. I'd say 5 so far today, but my worst time is around 6 - 7 pm.

Today has been a reasonably smooth DD. I've been busy so that is always great on a DD. Planning on going to the gym after work and then some even errands. Presently, I give this DD a 4.

I think a solid 5 so far. My stomach is making some very loud growly sounds, which is unusual for me. I have that stomach hungry feeling, but it's not bothering me for some reason. Sometimes that feeling makes me feel good, like I know it means good things are happening inside.

I think I'll go have 100 calories of fat. Either another coffee/hwc or maybe an ounce of cream cheese. Sounds good.

Gained three pounds after my UD yesterday, so I am doing a very strict DD today. Hungry, but after a good workout, feel a very satisfied empty stomach.

Looking forward to tomorrow! Will most def not go overboard again!

hun, never, ever weigh yourself after a UD... IMHO. Coming from someone who is devastated by the bounce... If you must weigh more than once a week... make it only after DD's

Having a great DD today. Woooohooo! Had a delic iced gluco vanilla coffee this afternoon that totally tamed the wild & wooly 4pm MHs (Mean Hungries). Kept me satisfied until after 7pm tonight.

Also am fixated on the same DD meal recently! 1 huge zucc, 2-3c of mixed slaw, 1/2c All Whites, turmeric, black pepper, garlic powder is the base.

To that I do variations. Today's variation was Mexicali. I added Mrs. Renfro's Green Salsa, Lite Sour Cream, and 3 tbsp. SCQ (salsa con queso). Dang! HUGE plate of food. So creamy, dreamy satisfying! Then my beloved sf Jell-O for dessert and I'm a happy girl! Come on bed time. No night time hungries here!

So yesterday's DD turned out fine. Instead of worrying how to stave off the hungries that I get after work, I turned to the DD recipes here and found a chocolate almond milk, glucomannan, PB2, ice in a blender drink that filled me up and tasted so good with temps in the high 90s here on the east coast! Once again I am ever greatful for having found this website and all these awesome

I'm on my 3rd DD and trying to hold off on eating anything as long as possible today. I'm not quite hungry...I don't think? But my head is playing with me. Sipping green tea and about to go into a two hour meeting. It's a casual thing that I can pop in and out of so I'll eat during that if I have to.

elphie, I do MUCH better when I put off eating as long as possible. If I try to eat, say 140 cals at lunchtime, I get really hungry. But if I wait till 6-7pm and have my cals, I don't get the uncomfortable hunger in the afternoon. Weird. I'm very close to doing a complete fast day. Looking forward to it. Good luck!

Not sure I can hold off that long, but I'll be happy if I can hold off until lunch time. So far, so good!

Cindy I just saw your question hon! But Putz answered it! Sorry. I forget that our product availability is so different on this side of the pond! What kind of carton egg whites do you have in the UK? I like All Whites cuz they don't add anything else to them. They're just pasteurized egg whites. I like adding the turmeric and pepper cuz it's anti-cancerific but also because it colors them egg colored! And it tastes good!

My DD today was awful. I don't think waiting as long as possible to eat was a good plan for me. I think I let myself get too hungry before eating and then I made the mistake of going to workout in the heat afterwards. I haven't felt good since and I'm seriously considering calling it a day and going to bed. At least I know when I wake up I can EAT!

Hello Kissa

I used to live in London, in Chelsea, between the Thames and the main street.

Please tell me what you consider 'the heat' in London?
Congratulations on your DD attitude.

I'm sorry this was a rough one for your. You'll probably find you can workout on DDs later in the process, but you're still pretty early on right now. But the good thing is you're learning what your body likes and doesn't like already!

You made it! For me, going to bed with that slight tummy grumble is no big deal. In fact, I like it because I tell myself it means I'm burning fat and not food. You'll get there too. And yes, anticipating tomorrow, only a few hours away, is great!

Speaking for myself (not Kissa), we start whining when it's 28C because the heat island effect adds another 4C so now it's consistently 32-34C, depending on where you are the 'heat' is mid-30s which I realise is positively balmy and pleasant relative to the inferno-like heat in much of the US.

My house is rarely dipping below the high 20s at present which is uncomfortable when attempting sleep.

I'm sorry that you're DD wasn't the greatest. Do you drink enough liquids? I drink about three to four bottles of water and at times diet iced tea until lunch. I've found that when I keep enough fluid in me I have little to no hunger.

I also go to the gym on DDs and I typically only go on my DDs. I agree with Carol though that you might want to get a few more DDs under your belt before you start working out on a DD.

Well I never complain about the heat myself, but I do treat anything over 90f with respect.

I grew up in Kuwait and lived in hot climates most of my life.

What a lovely area to have lived in Barbo, I live on Hampstead Heath.

An easy one for me today. A 5 for sure and I have no appetite at all. Sure wish I could say that on an UD.

Yeah, that's definitely not it because I drink tons of water and green tea. I've been having extra salt too to make sure I don't mess up my electrolytes. Sunday was another bad DD. I made it through, but man was it hard!!!! I wasn't even physically hungry but I wanted to eat so badly - and I felt very tired, weak and sluggish (and moody). Ugh! I am still tweaking to see what works for me. Luckily today is an UD and I am working on a plan for tomorrow.

My appetite isn't a problem so - my only fret is that part of my mind is still engaged in how I reduce my body fat without losing/risking my lean body mass. I can't quite get my head around the notion that at 127lbs overall, roughly 50lbs of that is body fat.

Elphie what cals are you aiming for? 500? You can start higher and move down gently you now.

I had a 5 today after waking up feeling bit odd and with puffy eyes.

Two iced black coffees, then one small glass of rosé with a neighbour, followed by a small salad with 70 grams of salmon.

Kissa and Carol, what are 5's? *scratches head*

Barbo!!! Great to see you here!! XOXO

Lisa great advice about being well hydrated and how it affects hunger. Sometimes I really have to work to get in my fluids. I forget to drink. I get busy and forget.

Elphie everyone has great advice. Just know a couple of things:
1. It gets easier with time.
2. In the early days, go ahead and make tiny miny snacks.

Kissa your menu sounds fab!

So today is a steady DD. It's not easy and not hard. It was a pretty UUAW because it was our great nieces birthday and the 4 year anniversary of Mom's death. So we had 2 UDs in a row followed by a MD yesterday. This morning I was 3 pounds up. The same 3 pounds I've worked all month to lose. LOL. I was so close to throwing a temper tantrum it wasn't even funny. This Femara drug makes weight loss next to impossible.

But I settled down and mid-morning went potty and low and behold had shed over a pound of water weight lol. So I settled and it's been ok. Kinda snacky feeling and want a burger and fries like nobody's beeswax. But good thing is that I can have anything I want tomorrow and we all know tomorrow I won't be hungry for it!

I made up my own homemade Irish Cream Coconut Milk Coffee Creamer today with glucomannan. This way I only have to pour a quantity into a glass with coffee and crushed ice and I get to have a quick vanilla iced coffee with very little effort. I've so far had 2 of those today. The gluc really helps fill me in a pinch as you all know.

Tonight will be my DD staple I seem to be stuck on! It's so hot here, on DD's I just don't have any desire for meat (cuz it's usually chicken lol). So the sautéed veggies and scrambled egg whites and cheese sauce fill me without being meaty. Weird huh? See Post 398. LOL. I won't bore you with a repeat.

Slow, I just find it hard to believe you have 50 lbs of excess fat. Are you SURE the test is accurate for your body type? Have you talked to your doc about it? I just frankly don't see it! Maybe you could look into doing Tai Chi? It will build core body strength and is sorta like resistance training using isometric type moves...It is also great for balance and I think for fighting osteoporosis? But I might be making the last one up?!!

Anyway, hugs to all!

I was having a 5 until 5pm and all of sudden I am STARVING to death. Yes I am. SO I dug out some Shiritake noodles and poured a little low calorie spaghettis sauce over them to try and fill me up.

Adi, that's unusual for you.

My DD is going well. I've only had liquids today, which is unusual for me. I regret getting the skim latte at Dunkin's this morning because it was not good and a waste of calories. I'm going to cook some lean turkey chili in a little while and may have a very small amount of that. Bf has to eat, and I have to cook if he eats lol.
