DD Wednesday - Plans, menu etc.

Ho hum. Just going to be one of those days. Thankfully, DH is having business drinks and dinner this evening so although it crocks his DD, mine's OK. (That sounds callous but he loses far more readily than I do and manages to maintain even if he only has one true DD per week.)

B: slice of eggbake with spinach (ca 100kcals) and 50g bacon (ca. 150kcals) and splodge of hot sauce. approx. 260kcals
L: broth reinforced with 10g of gelatine for added protein (ca. 50kcals)

So, it will be quite a late lunch and I plan not to have anything but non-caloric drinks this evening.

I really admire those of you who habitually eat just the one main meal in a day or stick to liquids on a DD. I'd no idea how much I used eating (even small meals) as a way of working around the boring periods of the day.

Adi, do you eat the marmalade from the spoon or actually use it as a condiment for the eggs?

Good morning, everyone! Here's to a good DD! I plan on keeping busy most of my day, so shouldn't be an issue. I really tried to get in all my calories last night (managed to make it to my limit), so I should be well-fueled.

B: Coffee, 1 tbsp cream.
L: Broth
D: Progresso light soup, 8 crackers.

For the rest of the time, lots and lots of water, a little Diet Coke, and keeping busy with work, housework, and exercise. I am looking forward to finishing the day with success.

So much for not eating till dinner time. DH came home with fish & chips to share - well I couldn't just smell them! Fortunately, I didn't have much and our local chippy cooks really dry chips (fries) - I don't eat the batter anyway. ~ where's the halo smiley? ~

L: Was hopefully only about 150 cals
However, I'm going to a meeting this evening, so will have to have dinner by 6pm at the latest.

Salvage plan:
D: Big bowl of homemade quick tomato soup with PB2, gluc powder and Greek yogurt - 112
S: 1 Ryvita with a sliver of cheddar - 75
Milk in teas - 45

Total = 382

PS: Plus lemon water and lots of plain water. ~ Insert halo smiley #2 ~

I'm intrigued enough that I may have to try this. Along with cottage cheese and baked potato at some point.

Things I'd never tried before JUDDD:

Things I hear about from JB's that I want to try:
  • Wendy's chilli
  • Suzie's thin cakes
  • Kim's magic pop puff cakes
  • fudgsicles
  • Red Lobster crab claws
  • Bulletproof coffee
ETA: I can do the BPC and have finally cracked and ordered some MCT oil as an experiment. But for the rest, it will have to wait until I'm next in the US as, afaik, none of the others are available in the UK (as per Flossyliz's comment below).

today, well I woke at 4:15 a.m. (30 minutes early) and on our walk, DH could hear my tummy growling LOUDLY! He was like, really???? OH Well. Filling up on water right now.

Stir fry with egg 100c
cottage cheese 160c
crack slaw 260c

520c , hoping to stick to this. I may do a salad instead of Cottage cheese, I will have the calories be the same either way!

SlowSure, I'd never heard of glucomannan, but I owe my best DDs to shiritake noodles and recently - and more cheaply! - to gluc powder.

The magic pops sound great but I can't source them in UK.

I am trying to get my husband to do JUDD with me. I just started. Right now, he thinks I am a little crazy

But I told him once I start dropping weight he will want to join me, I hope anyways! I KNOW he will lose easier than me because he has way more weight to lose than I do! Plus he never eats breakfast and can go half the day without eating no problem, not me!

I must agree, I knew I ate out of boredom. But it really wasn't until JUDDD that I noticed it was pretty much the cause of my weight gain!! Eating during the day to pass the time...eating while marking ..eating while watching tv .
I have substituted with water, tea and chewing gum. I also like putting sparkly water in a nice wine glass and adding some crystal light -- something special to sip on lol -- its fruity and pretty haha.

Todays DD:
B: one egg
L: 3 cups spinach w/ vinegar + 1 babybel cheese (light)
S: 1 babybel cheese
D: 60g tuna
S: 1 slice swiss light cheese

as well as green tea, gum etc. around 325 calories

I find cheese really stops the hunger - I guess its the combination of fat/protein

I had coffee with almond milk for breakfast, then fasted until dinner. I had 3 strips of bacon, 2 eggs over easy, and a mug of tea with a splash of almond milk.
327 calories, 24 g fat, 24 g protein, 2 g carbs.

I forgot to take a pterostilbene capsule today, but didn't really need it. I worked 10 hours and keeping my hands busy helps to distract me from feeling hunger.
