Hi, everyone -- just wanted to check in and let you know that I've been JUDDD'ing and lurking behind the scenes. Well, to be brutally honest, I've been back for exactly one week. lol I had originally intended to stick with JUDDD for three weeks before I started posting again (to prove to myself that I was serious this time, or some such nonsense) -- but I can't wait that long. I want to talk now! :) In a way I feel like a bit of a loser to be only getting back in the swing of things NOW after the holidays (which ended, ummm... two and a half months ago....) but, I'm trying not to focus on that. I'm back, and ready to stay focused on this awesome WOL.

In other news, I've decided that I need to stay away from the scale this time. Yep, I feel it's for the best -- this marks the end of my first week and I'm not going to weigh I don't think. I've just found that I can't deal with the psychological trauma that the bounces bring on with me. I hope that some day I'll be able to take them in stride, but, right now, I'm just going to have faith in JUDDD and not give myself ANY excuses to quit. This time, I'm in it, people! :jumpjoy:

So, having said that, let me publicly announce that my very first weigh-in will be on my birthday, June 5. That seems like a good date to get a clear and accurate assessment on whether this will work well for me. What says y'all? :)

:welcome: back Deena! I remember you from before. No, don't feel like a loser. We all have had experiences like that, and I'm a firm believer that you have to be really ready in your body, heart and mind to take on a change in eating such as this. You're ready! Keep posting!

Hi, everybody! So good to see some familiar faces and new ones as well. I really get what some of you are saying -- I feel like, although this is not my first time starting, that I at least learned something from the initial attempt. I found what really screwed me up was not just the holidays (although they helped! lol) -- but my family being around so much at the time. It's just really difficult to explain to someone who doesn't understand JUDDD or IF why you're staying under 500 calories some days. To a lot of people, that's akin to saying -- I've just decided to kill myself with a horribly unhealthy diet! lol :) But, no excuses, I learned a lot last time (like the fact that counting UD's IS necessary, for me -- and that this board is amazing!) -- and am truly thrilled to be back. :)

And thanks a bunch for the warm welcomes!!!

Welcome back! I restarted again a couple weeks ago, but am doing 5:2 this time around.

If your family does start asking questions, you can tell them to watch Dr. Mosley's program. :) Eat, Fast, And Live Longer.

:welcome: Back Deen!!! I'm so glad you decided to come back.:shake: I've had my share of ups and downs since I started, as everyone well knows ;), but I'm still plugging along. Someone wrote something the other day that went something like this: "If I hadn't been so impatient and just stuck to one diet, I'd been thin as a reed by now!" :D It' funny, but it's true. I figure if I'm only losing 2 lbs a month, I'm still losing and I haven't quit. We've got stamina!:workout:
