Psyllium

I hope I am not asking too many questions. You all are so helpful.

I am reading and reading (the information here is wonderful!) and searching but I haven't exactly found this. I know some of you do use psyllium husks in recipes..

but - what about taking psyllium capsules, just for bulk. Do you think it will help "fill" me up / sway hunger? Taken with a meal. The ones I have I don't think have any calories.

Interested on your opinions. Thanks!

I'd use up the capsules you have and I'm sure it will help.
Then you might want to look at glucomannan powder. I've just started using it and it's great for DDs. Very versatile!

k thanks! I often take one in the morning anyways, so my body is pretty used to that. I have taken 2 so far today and I think it is helping. And LOTS of water (I am going to bathroom like crazy). I usually drink a lot of water-I may be drinking a bit more than usual, not sure?? But anyways appreciate your input.

I use psyllium to help keep me regular in the bathroom. I find that most here use glucomannan for the purpose of keeping one full and staving off hunger. I take my psyllium at bedtime because I don't want my vitamins or other supplements to be swept up by the psyllium. That at night before bed and coconut oil during the day keep me regular as a calendar. But certainly not full, since I take it at night. Never tried during the day so I cannot attest to that.

I took a couple today around midday before a 3 hour car journey. No hunger at all.
