I'm in! We spend 4th of July out on Lake Michigan in our sailboat. We always hang out in the channel with other boats and it's pretty much a big, all day party Last summer I stayed on our boat in shorts and a tee shirt. This year my goal is to feel comfortae enough to wear a swim suit and go in the water!

Goal-tone up arms, thighs and back.
Starting Mark Lauren's Body By You plan tomorrow so that should really help!

Well, I want to keep whitlin'.

Since this challenge is starting at the half-month, I'll measure at both 1st and 15th (or so) of each month, and my goal will be to have lost at either waist or abs (or both) every time I measure. I'll basically be doing T-Tapp.

I'm in! The last challenge I said I wanted to be in (even if not comfortably) my 16P Levi's. I didn't quite make it, although they did go over my thighs and "on" even if the button was nowhere near the hole.

By 4th of July, I want those same 16's to be loose, and I want to be in my 14Ps! I'll see about before pics tomorrow - no promises though!

WARNING: These pictures are not pretty!

Dresses can be very unforgiving. Especially dresses that are too tight on a woman who has had 3 kids.

By July 4th, I want these dresses to be floating on me! I have a lot of work to do!!!

I'm always tempted to pick a number of lbs to lose but I get in to trouble if I try to predict a weight by a certain date and don't reach it.
So instead, since there are 81 days until July 4, I'm going to commit to diligently following JUDDD and see where that takes me.

Chantal, I predict those dresses will be floating on you sooner than you expect!

What a great thread idea! My July 4 goal is to fit into the size 14 jeans that won't even go over my hips right now. I'd love it if I could wear a size 12 by then, but it doesn't seem likely because I lose slower than a geriatric turtle with 2 bum legs.

I'm in. I don't know what to set as a goal, but I want to keep doing what I know is good for me, so that's 1 thing.

I'd love to be in size 18 jeans. And the arms of that blue dress should be comfortable.

Those are very stylish and elegant dresses. Lovely print on the first and is that embroidery rather than print on the second?

I'll watch for your progress. You'll be so when those look the way that you want them to look. KUTGW.

I'd love to join this challenge! I would like to be in, or at least near, a size 12. This translates to about another 20 pounds lost. That may be a lofty goal, but I'll be happy if I can at least approach this by that point in time.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's progress!!

I want to join this one!! I would like to see something under 170 on the scale and be able to run a 5k in under 36 minutes! Not a fast time by any means, but I've always been a slow runner...

My hope is to lose 1 pound per week. July 4th would put me at 179, which is the lowest weight I have reached in my post-children adult life. Sounds like a good omen! I remember at the time, one of my son's friends (a 14 year old boy) noticed I had lost weight. When a teenage boy to whom you are just somebody's mom notices, then you KNOW there is a visible difference!
So I have a number goal: 179, and an emotional goal: a visible difference!

I bought yesterday my fourth of July goal pants: size 14P black capris! I will try to take a picture on Sunday or Monday, with a shirt tucked in since they don't button yet! I am motivated to be able to button, zip, and wear them by 7/4!

p.s. I was able to fit 14Ws yesterday! (they are sized differently than the regular or petite 14s, and they were still a bit snug, but they buttoned and zipped and one pair I could have worn right away). Even if you don't buy anything, it's fun to go shopping to see where you are in the sizes.

I want in on this too, but I'm really struggling with what my goal will be. I'd like it to be something other than a number on the scale. I got rid of my small clothes years ago so I don't have anything hanging in my closet that I'm dying to get into.
Maybe I should aim for 8's by then. My 12s are ranging from perfect to big, and I have a few 10s I can wear. Some 10s I cant yet so if I could be solid 8 by July 4th that would be cool.

I'm in! I want my hiking pants from last year to be loose on me. This is a stretch goal (pun intended) because I am a very slow loser. I can pull them up now but if I button them, I will surely snap off that poor button. (and I currently look like a hiking pants sausage - not to be seen in public!!). I also want to finish my Couch to 5K and be running that 5K distance regularly.

I say this all the time! I love the "sausage"!!
When I was showing last year I stuffed myself into my pre-pregnancy show clothes because they're so expensive I didn't want to buy new ones. And, to add insult to injury, they're white! I was like, "Time to stuff myself into the sausage casing!" or "Time to peel off the sausage casings!"
So glad I'm not the only one who uses this term. Its appropriate, huh?
How exciting will it be to have this be a problem of the past?!?!?!?

I have a dress I HAVE to wear in a wedding on June 22nd, so that is my next goal. Sleeveless, and I want my arms to look decent.
When I tried it on, mom said "you need to wear a spanx under that."
Unfortunately, my response was...I already am.
It clings to my belly when I walk, and I don't want to wear sweaty anything under it for late afternoon outdoor wedding in June.

Christina, I just love your big beautiful smile in that photo! Who else would smile like that with pants that won't button! It's because you know the next photo will be of those same pants comfy (dare I say, a tad loose?), isn't it? I'm not going to be that brave and post my non-buttoning pants, but I admire you for doing it!

ETA: Cute outfit, BTW!

I've heard a few people comment about how they want their arms to look better (I'm the same) so I thought I would mention something I am trying... it's a 100 push-up "challenge". if you search for that string you will find it. The idea is that you do a fitness test first (how many push ups you can do - either full or other types including on your knees, or against a wall, etc) then based on how you did is where you start. For example, if you could do 5-10 push ups, then you start off Day 1 with doing a set of 6 push ups, 60 second rest, 6 more, 60 second rest, 4 more, rest, 4 more, rest then as many as you can do. A rest day then Day 3 it starts with 7, 7, 5, 5 etc. And of course you keep building.
Even if can do only 1, it starts with 2, 2, 1, 1, etc.

Anyway- I've only just started and my arms are sore and I'm doing the type that you do on your knees but I am excited to build my upper body strength!!

I'm doing the 100 push-up challenge too! There is also a squat, sit-up, and dips challenge that I want to try. Dips are good for saggy arms!!!

I was thinking that I could do the sit up challenge also by adding that in to my 60 second rest between push up sets. I'm not ready for dips yet... but those ARE awesome for the "wings" aren't they (triceps)? I like to do skull crushers. I have a wonky knee so I have to be careful with squats. It's bad enough I'm trying to run!!!

Ok time for push ups and one step closer to a somewhat less stuffed hiking pants "sausage" - ha ha ha! Yennie, that really is a descriptive term, isn't it?

That challenge sound great. I've been doing the dips. They burn, but it's good. I have to remind myself to do them daily. I have been forgeting recently.
