Whitlin' 04-13-2013 07:30 AM

Good morning, Sara. Congrats on a 3-day potato appreciation.

Karen, if I haven't yet posted with you, "Nice to meet you". :)

Have fun at the movies, Kim!

Yes, yes, I believe chocolate should be involved, shouldn't it, LCG and Karen? *Gotta plan, gotta plan... ...

Breakfast will be half an apple. 60

Brunch probably a coconut milk smoothie of berries and protein powder. 135

Wendy's (where I had a half apple/pecan/chicken salad yesterday as my main DD meal) had these huge posters of their new flatbread sandwiches I couldn't have! So I discussed with my future JUDDD self :hugs: that I could indeed offer myself one for lunch today! I have to be traveling anyway as chauffeur for teens, so I deserve something to look forward to, don'cha think! Another advantage is that when I get back home, I can simply look up the calories on their website and know exactly where I am for the day. I think it will be 530 for that sandwich.

Btw, I always take my own water in an insulated tumbler on the road. I'm just as happy.

Lovely leftover oriental food the family got to enjoy yesterday is on my mind for supper! I'll be glad to have an exact calorie count up to that time ( probably 725 ) , since that meal will involve estimating.

KeirasMom 04-13-2013 08:38 AM

I saw the ads for the flatbread sandwiches yesterday too. If you get one, let us know how it is!

So far today:

B: Light English muffing with garlic/herb cream cheese and ham, one fried egg, coffee

The rest of the day is up in the air. I'm taking Keira to a birthday party at the roller rink, so there will most likely be cake and pizza involved. I may eat before we go, though, and just skate while she enjoys her party.

Dinner: No clue! Probably will involve a baked potato with cottage cheese and salsa, a la Adi.

Shark week just started and I'm going to have to watch myself to make sure today does not turn into an UUAD. I had eggs & bacon for breakfast, coffee with coconut oil and hwc at mid-morning, and a big serving of chocolate cream cheese mousse. Thankfully I am full now, and took a dose of pterostilbene to curb my appetite.

I plan to have an early dinner of cauliflower cheese soup with crumbled bacon, and a snack of roasted almonds.

Hi Whitlin' ... nice to meet you, too. :hiya:

Today I had chocolate! My BF and I were out shopping and we went in to Timmy's for a tea & coffee and he had two "roll-up-the-rim" winners for 2 donuts so we treated ourselves to a double chocolate donut each. I also had a small handful of chocolate chips.
I didn't think it was possible to eat A donut and be ok but whaddya know? I'm doing alright.
I also had a banana with 1T peanut butter after dinner. I love that.

Mamatomany ... awesome on the 2 lbs! :jumpjoy:

Lisamt-

I admit to being out of the loop :) You mentioned shark week and not having an UUAD. Is shark week the tv thing or a euphemism for PMS?

lisamt 04-13-2013 04:27 PM

The pterostilbene helped to curb my appetite. I ate my soup and almonds, and I'm done eating for the day.

Karen, I ate a single donut on a cheat day last month and enjoyed it without wanting to eat an entire dozen. It was a good feeling. :)

Kissa 04-13-2013 04:44 PM

Lovely UD Saturday here.

B -

Lunch date with DH :)
1 Bloody Mary
mini steak tartare with sourdough toast
moules with frites
1/2 a small cheese board with sourdough bread
1/2 a bottle of Muscadet.
double macchiato

Theatre in the evening, diet pepsi and a tiny coffee ice-cream

kh155 04-13-2013 04:52 PM

:) lisamt ... an entire dozen is usually what happens when I 'diet' and can't stand it anymore. It IS a nice feeling to just have one.

Kissa ... steak tartare is practically outlawed in my city which is a very sad thing. :(
I grew up on that stuff ... eaten on a thick slice of schinkenbrot with green onion, salt & pepper. Oh yum!

The Asiago Ranch style of the flatbread sandwiches were pretty good to my daughter and me. The flatbread was almost an artisan style with seeds that I thought looked like flax. So I looked it up after I got home, and yes, flax and sesame seeds, millet, cracked wheat and rolled oats.

It's a very shiny-surfaced, crisp flatbread, so if you like softer pita type instead, you may be disappointed, but all the whole grains and seeds are cool. The chicken was good and so was the Asiago cheese. The only thing that really bugged me about my sandwich was the tomato, which was terrible, but that's kind of the luck of the draw in April I guess. Not exactly tomato month. Also, it was supposed to have a little bacon in it, but as I thought about it later, I don't believe my sandwich had any, and my daughter didn't remember any either. Hmm...

Definitely more than a serving for me, I stopped at about 7/8th of the sandwich and could have stopped at 3/4.

The Honey-Mustard one would have cost 50 cents less, but doesn't have cheese, and after all, this was an UD! Also, our honest server said he didn't care for it, which put us off a little. My daughter said there was no doubt the bread made the sandwich.
