I hope it can help. Nothing worse than dreading a DD, I generally love them, but last DD, Monday, I forgot my Ptero and it was much more of a struggle than I am used to. Today is a dream!

I take 2 of the Jarrow make, will go and look at the bottle... they say 50mg. So I take 100mg first thing.

There is a thread about it somewhere if you dig.

Is it expensive? Does a bottle last a good while?

Can someone explain what the ptero is for? It has good reviews on Amazon, but doesn't say in the explanation exactly what it is used for.

Thanks!

I'll try to post a link to the thread. I am not one of the scientists here, lol.

It is expensive for me because I am in the UK and it comes from the States. I'd love to know what it costs there as my sister is in CA for 3 weeks and would happily bring a load back for me...

Here you go..Please post your pterostilbene results :)

I think I will ask my sister to order some through Netrition while she is there, she is staying with a friends so should have no difficulty. That will save me a ton of money.

Says $15.99 I pay over $38. Wow.

To All You Birthday Gals!

For those taking P do you take it every day or just on DD? Does Wally World or Walgreens carry it?

Thank you Beverly and Sara and all you Juddders and also Sunday who made that post in February that I happen to see about experimenting with 5:2. It has helped me so much.

I love 5:2 or Juddd Light as Dawn calls it.
I am also still doing an 8 hour window from 12 to 8 most days, I don't over stress waiting on UD if I'm super hungry and my dd's vary as life happens but I still have 2 a week. One thing that helps me is a tsp of gluc in broth mid morning or mid afternoon, sometimes a tsp of coconut oil in the morning. I'm learning from you guys, thank you!

I got mine at Walgreen's. Called "Blu2Go" by BluScience. It was on sale too Have not seen it in my Walmart. I took it for a few days, every day and noticed no difference. I have to start taking it again to see if it will help this time around.

This will be my first week experiment. It's been a bit weird however. Monday was a DD, Tues sort of a MD 800. Wednesday was UD around 1690, and today has been around 20 so far, but looking at 200 for dinner. So I guess Fri, Sat, and Sun are UD's. I may make Sun a MD. This may be a total mistake, but just trying it out to see what happens. Would love to do just 5:2, but if I know me I don't think that will keep me losing. I think it didn't work that way for Adi either. Everyone is different, so I'm just going to see how it goes. I will definitely go either 5:2 or 4:3 for maintenance.

I prob would be skeptic too had I been Juddding and also as close to goal as you. I know you will do good either program. Way to go!

What a lovely loss ScaleStepper. Well done you.

Beverley, give a decent go and you may be pleasantly surprised.

I have had a great DD, probably 300 cals maybe less. Soooooo easy today.

WTG on good DD Cindy , I love those.

Thank you, it surprised me just because I'm happy with a 1 lb loss.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if I could coast right into maintenance on 5:2, that's my plan! I have the rythym!

I am giving it a shot this week! I'm so excited. Hope I get decent results. Even if I only lose a 1/2 lb. for the week I will be completely fine with that. I'm walking 3 miles at least 3 to 4 times a week as well. Water intake is where I'm having some issues. Someone mentioned apple/cinn. water? Sounds very appealing so I'm going to make some of that. I think Sirtain mentioned that. I forget, but anyway I think I'd like it better than the lemon water.

After my second potato day I had a 2 pound woosh this morning and I hit a new low of 131lbs Losing weight was not the purpose of my potato days, but dang-my stomach looks awesome this morning One more potato day and then the weekend will be normal days, with a pizza family get together at my house tomorrow night yay! Starting tomorrow I will be working on keeping my sugar intake below 25 grams a.day.

What else is going on with me:

I've decided to start strenght training, using Mark Lauren's new book Body By You (the author of You are Your Own Gym). Along with that I've decided to slowly transition to a primal diet, but still do it within the parameters of the 5:2 plan. I spent a lot of time on *** yesterday and there's a group over there that does JUDDD/5:2 with primal eating I'll still hang out here too, but I may not be around as much? Really feeling that this is the next step for me, and I'm excited to see what happens!

Beverley a week is a bit short to test a plan like this, 2 or 3 weeks is more like it I believe.

Sara, glad the potato hack is doing good things to your stomach.

Relieved to find that my Fast day is going much better today. Wednesday was brutal and I wasn't looking forward to today! So far, so good!

Had a grueling boot camp session this morning and am trying to wait until 2PM to break my fast with some Greek yogurt & nuts. A piece of salmon planned for dinner.......not sure what else.

Tomorrow will be my first weigh in since beginning the 4:3 plan. Anxious to see if I've gotten any results. Next week will be a 5:2 as I'm going away for a long weekend with my sister.

I love the flexibility of this plan! I'm in for the long haul........its a lifestyle and let the pounds fall where they may!

Have a great Friday!

Big bounce this morning, up to 159.4 from 157.0 yesterday. I can't complain, as my goal is 165.

I had a gyro and rice pilaf for dinner, last night, along with a few of Keira's fries and two bites of her grilled ham and cheese sandwich. I estimated the calories as closely as I could with my tracker, but I suspect they used a LOT of oil or butter in the pilaf, so my calories were probably WAY off!

DD today, and not a care in the world.
