I think you're right about DD calories; it's fine to be under 500 on those days.
MY UD number is like 1690 something and the DD number is 336. May be off a smidge, but that is pretty close. I just know when I kept the DD num at 500 and stuck to my calculated UD number I stalled. So I really don't think I'd lose at all because I didn't hardly lose eating 500 EOD so eating 500 2 out of 7 days I think would make me gain. Guess I'll just have to try it out and see what happens. I could go pretty low to nothing on DD if I only had to do it 2 times a week.

Absolutely sugar causes so many problems. I read that somewhere too about the cancer thing. I had a friend that died from cancer and while she was going through treatment they told her absolutely no sugar. And it seems like it's in EVERYTHING! Even if you stay away from "sweets" it's still in milk, bread, and who knows what else. So if we at least try not to eat cakes, ice cream, candy, or (anything that taste good) we should be ok. I try to limit it, but hard sometimes. I'm going to try 5:2 or 4:3 a couple of weeks and see how I do. I can always go back to JUDDD and maybe turn at least one of my DD's into a 500 day as well. Good luck coming off the sugar, and high-five to good health!

Emm Hmm you know that's right sister! lol This is embarrassing to say, but I look better at 45 then I did at 25 and 35. I put on so much weight with pregnancies and just kept on gaining all the way up to 204. Oh well, I'm healthier no and probably able to enjoy it better. I use to smoke back then too and couldn't check the mailbox without gasping for air. Overweight and smoking are not a good combo.

Did a potato day yesterday, to give myself a mental reset before I start reducing my sugar consumption. Scale went down a bit, from 134.5 to 133. I'm going to do another one today and maybe Friday, and then the sugar purge begins!

I had a terribly hungry day yesterday. I managed to stay around 500 for the day, but it was a struggle from start to finish. I've been doing this for weeks and yesterday was the first day where I really struggled.

UD today and I'm looking forward to it. I woke up starving so had a bit of breakfast. I've been trying to fast until 2 in the afternoon, but that flew out the window this morning.

I'm doing 4:3, so I have another Fast day tomorrow. Sure hope it's easier than yesterday!

I don't know why yesterday was SO hard! I was extra active on Tuesday......maybe that made Wednesday extra hard? I've always looked forward to my Fast days, but I'm kind of dreading tomorrow after the way I felt yesterday.
