Yeah I was only up 1.1 after going ballistic after Easter. That was shocking, but may have actually been good for me. I just know I have never stuck with a diet this long and have had such positive results. Very little yo yo effect. I'm usually good for a while, then quit and gain a lot back, then good again, then not so good. You know that routine I suppose. But so far I haven't had that problem here. I guess I feel like I've worked so hard too that I don't want to totally bail on this WOE because then "to me" it would've all been for nothing.

Last week's Friday weigh in was 133.5 and after a 700ish calorie md on Monday and two.potato hack days on Wed/Thur, I hit a new low today of 131lbs

Guess I will be posting weight here only from this point on. This is my first week of 4:3 so I'm only going to weigh after my last DD for the week. Wish me luck!

I am apprehensive.
When I set my goal of one pound per week, I thought I would be making it, easy-peasy. Well, I didn't make it last week, and my weight has been bouncing back and forth between the same numbers essentially this whole week. I worry that I may not make it this week, either.
Tomorrow is my post-Up Day weigh-in, and I am torn between being very careful this Up Day, and eating normally. I WANT that pound! But I DON'T want it to be all about the weight, either. I want to make this into a normal lifestyle for the duration.

Sirtain ... I lost 4.4 pounds last month, all in the last two weeks. Nothing at all for the first two weeks. This month has been the same ... I just started losing in the last two days, and it's the 20th! Sometimes our bodies want to give up the weight in clumps instead of evenly, especially on JUDDD, I've noticed. I really recommend measuring ... it helped me a lot when I realized I'd lost inches this month even though the scale hadn't moved.

Um weird question: does anyone's skin itch when they are LOSING? LOL! I understand that it it's normal for skin to itch when you're gaining; but how about when you're losing?

I was still 229 on the 19th (no loss in a week) but TOM is here today, so..maybe that's why. This is my 2nd month not ovulating--don't know if it's perimenopause or the big change in my WOE but i'll take it! NO CRAMPS WOOHOO! But is there real water gain that happens if you don't ovulate? Anyone know? I'll be back soon!

No idea about the ovulation and water retention, but I itch when I'm losing. I get hives when I'm losing quickly.

Calichris- I'll try to keep that in mind. After all, I love when I get a chunk at one time- I should be willing to 'pay for it' by waiting!

Hot-in-texas, your numbers are looking great; Karen, what a wonderful start.

I DID go down this weekend, by the skin of my teeth, so I am moving in the right direction, if not at the point I was hoping to be at. And of course, if I look at myself starting at 195.0, instead of thinking the one pound per week should begin from 191.0, I am AHEAD of the game!

Anyhow, here is my weekly update. How is everyone else doing?

I have gotten hives when losing before too! I asked my allergist if I had encountered allergens when I was gaining, and I was burning off those fat cells if that could cause the reaction and he said it was possible! And I have always had itchy skin, but it does get worse at times. Just recently diagnosed with eczema, although in my case it's nothing but dryness and slightly flaky - no blisters or marks thank heavens. Crazy isn't it, the ways our bodies work!

Weighed in at 152 this morning. Had birthday blitz this past weekend and TOM started Monday so hoping some of this will go away when TOM is over. My last weigh in was 148.6 on 4/18. I did the PH on Mon and Tues though so was hoping for a smaller number.

Yes mam. You're right. I definitely need to relax. I always get in such a tizzy with worry, and then when I get back into my rotation I am almost always pleasently surprized. I'm really going to shoot for no more UUAD's until I reach goal. They throw me off really bad and it takes me a while to get back into weight loss.
