Just wondering how our Carly and DW are doing this morning. Hope you're not hurting too too much, but that's probably too much to ask, considering. Lot's of - these virtual ones won't hurt!

Ugh... Should not have come to work. The insurance company called DW and said the car is totaled. We are praying they will change their minds. DW bought this car 13 yrs ago with the life insurance money when her son was murdered. She will not be able to cope if they total the car, I fear...

I feel like I've been totaled as well physically.

Carly, I should have mentioned it yesterday - homeopathic arnica is brilliant for bruising and won't fight with your meds. You'll need x30 strength.

Oh, Carly & DW, this breaks my heart!!! I can't imagine losing my child, especially to something like this. He must have been watching over you both to have walked away with relatively minor injuries - minor when you think about what could have been.

I wish peace and healing for you both.

That is basically what I told DW on the way home from the tow yard today when we emptied the car. I said Desmond was whatching over us during that crash, because we should have been hurt so much more than we were.

Prayers for you both...but a few extra for DW under this added stress. Desmond watched over you both - he was much more concerned about you than he was the car.

this probably sounds dumb, but I wonder if the car is totaled, if DW can take a piece of it, maybe the radio knob or something and make a keepsake? Maybe frame something? I don't know, but just a silly thought Prayers to you both, I'm glad you have a vacay coming up!!

They are still holding the car so I will ask DW if she wants to take a piece from it. I feel horrid, but have to keep moving since we leave for Florida monday morning. DW is doing better physically than I am.

Keeping a little something from the car is a really nice idea. Hopefully, if that would be a comfort to her, she can do that.

I hope you'll be able to rest and enjoy your vacation, Carly. So sorry you're feeling so bad.

OMG! I just saw this -- very glad to hear that you and DW were not seriously hurt, Carly. My DH was out of work for nearly 9 months after being in a 3 or 4 car pile-up, and it was torture just watching him try to cope with all of his pain. My heart goes out to the both of you...and I would also not be at all surprised if you had an angel watching over you that day.

Be well, be safe, and definitely enjoy your vacation!

Thank you. Today was a big improvement compared to the first 3 days. I still can't even think of getting on the elliptical, but better.

I told DW you all said she should get a peice of the car to keep and frame if she wants.

So sorry to hear this happened to you and your DW, Carly! Glad you're both ok, and I'm hoping that the soreness will pass quickly...

I can imagine the connection your DW has with that vehicle--I echo the sentiments of the others in taking a keepsake to have her son close to heart.

Take care of yourself, lovely lady!

Hope Dw does decide to hold on to a little something. Maybe not to frame but just to keep nearby, where she can hold it now and then.

So sorry you are taking time to heal but you already have so many issues with your joints that they must but screaming out WTH!

I know you will benefit so much from your time in Florida.
