April goals: 1) track everything, every day. 2) stick to my calories, no UUAD (and this is going to be a very challenging month with 2 onsites). 3) I'd like to lose 1lb a week, but I'll be happy with net loss this month.

I could use a borrowed scale at the hotel, but I don't think I could mentally deal with the adjustment to different numbers, ya know?

I haven't posted here in the last few days because, I'm not going to lie, the scale is discouraging me (I have goals!). It's a repeat of last month, which wound up not great but OK, but I don't really understand it, because although my calorie counts haven't been perfect, even if I estimate high, my average calories, not even considering exercise, should still be enough for some kind of loss by this point in the month. It's definitely as good or better than what I have done in the past which has allowed me to lose 47 pounds on JUDDD (58 total).

Still, I believe in just keeping going through these times, so after my free day yesterday (I didn't get overfull but ate less healthy foods and didn't count) I'm shooting for a low DD today.

p.s. thanks for letting me vent. I hope I'm not whining too much. I'm encouraged by the many new lows of my BUDDDs!

Huge hugs to you. I don't understand why these things happen, either. Sometimes the scale plays nice and sometimes it doesn't for what seems like ever. I often watch my calorie counting friends that are at 12-1300/day and losing regularly and think, WTH? How can we be eating less/day average and NOT lose sometimes? Makes no sense. XOXO Keep moving forward is all I know to do when the scale is stuck. Oh, and venting a lot!

What I keep telling myself is that if I were doing 1200-1300 calories a day, I wouldn't have been able to stay on it for 9 months, so I'll be a turtle and maybe I'll eventually win the race.

YES! I know I can lose doing low cal...just as I lost really well on SB. I always regained, though. I always got angry and resentful. Not this time!!! Not yo-yoing back and forth is going to be awesome! Love to you, you can do this!

So I think I am officially hooked on JUDDD. Yesterday was my UD and Saturday is traditionally my cheat day where I up my carbs significantly and allow myself some gluten and today's weigh in is lower than yesterday, which has never happened in a year of cheat days! It's not significant, only a .4 drop but compare to my typical 4-6 pound gain on cheat days it is significant. Not sure what it is about JUDDD that kept the water weight off this time but I'd say that was a successful UD and cheat day!

4/10 - DD - 214.8
4/11 - UD - 211.2
4/12 - DD - 212.2
4/13 - UD - 210
4/14 - DD - 209.6 - Which is officially my lowest weight in about 17 years!

I've been following two trends.

Rather than worry about my bounce up after UD (because its always pretty big) I compare it to my previous bounce. So, my after DD weigh ins keep going down, and now my highest 'bounce' keeps going down.

I know that even when I hit goal ill bounce (you that maintain are so confusing to me!) so I'm trying to find ways to accept it.

HEY...I too went the same route as you! same weight from the end of march till today! not sure what happened but I am guessing it is my TOM. 21 day cycle so I only have a spare 10 days to lose anything. my doc says pre menopausal! so lots of stuff going on! you are about the same age as me ...maybe hormone issues for you too....! it is a monster! Well anyhow...keep plugging at it!

hi Melanie...I have been meaning to ask if working out was helping you lose...but it looks like it isn't hurting! notice you are jogging... also I started couch to 5K. but I can hardly make it through 1minute:30seconds. an next week I have to do 3minutes of running...Geez! so how long did it take you to work up to 20 minutes? or did you just jump in and do it? Congratulations on the new low!

If there's a fitness center at the hotel, there might be a scale. Either way, it's probably fine to just wait till you get home. Have a nice trip!
