That sound such a delicious recipe Cindy. I adore canned coconut milk, and cocoa, so I can see me trying this out. Frosting shots , don't wish to be rude but.... only in America!

Hope your journey isn't too stressful SS. I do eat some of the sugar free sweets, the diabetic ones form Boots and the M&S ones too, but you can't eat many because of the tummy issues they can cause.

Have tried cherry tomatoes? I know it isn't the same thing but.....

We are invited to a friends for a 'Murder Dinner' tonight. Haven't been to one in years but I used to love them. My character is Hollywood film star circa 1936, so it is out with the blonde wig and try to stick on false eyelashes! Should be laugh.

Another reluctant driver here. What really freaks me out is how many people I see texting or doing other things while driving.......it's a small action that can have major consequences.

SLow, I know your trip will go smoothly. Bring some good music and enjoy the conversation.

Kissa, that party sounds like so much fun! I've never been to one. Are they really popular in the UK?

Not so much now. They were big in the 80s and 90s, but I am looking forward to this. Some hotels do whole 'Murder Weekends where they employ professional actors to appear, and even be 'murdered'.

What's even scarier is to see a truck driver do it!!! My DH drives a truck and we were on the road and saw this young kid driving a truck w/ a foot propped up on his dash and texting! What an idiot! We called the police, but never saw him pulled over. They put these kids in these big trucks that don't need a car DL much less a CDL. I know there are stupid older people as well, but for the most part maturity plays a big part in driving those trucks safely. And some common sense. This was in Washington D.C. too. Idk if you've ever driven in that mess, but it was a nightmare, and here he was tooling along foot propped up and texting like he was on summer vacation or something.

I never thought about coconut cream for frosting. What a great idea. I have been planning my birthday cake (Valentino brownie cake) and was considering a ganache frosting. But now I have visions of a cream filling between two layers PLUS ganache!

And who cares about calories! It will be an Up Day!

I know, right. To be honest, I've only read about them. I've never bought one, or saw one for sale. This recipe though, is more like a fat bomb, and GOOD for you. Idk if it will show up later, but I was only up less than a lb this morning. Eat frosting and lose weight.

SlowSure, have a great trip, and a safe one. It's hard not to be a little anxious in the car after an experience like that. I agree that SF candies are too calorie expensive on DDs. Would Tic Tacs or something like that do it for you?

Cindy, what a fun thing to do! You wouldn't want to take a picture of you in character would you?

Well, I hurtled home to have a shower before we leave, only to discover that we have no water supply as there's something amiss with the indirect tank system. Of course, I learned this, *after* I had applied an egg to my hair.

When DH arrives home, he'll have to climb into the loft and reset the water governor on the tank. We'll be late setting off but I refuse to travel anywhere looking like Medusa's less glamorous sister.

Thank you all for the good wishes and advice. I have some HM dried cherry tomatoes and it had never occurred to me that they would make a decent, sweet item to chew during a journey but they definitely have potential. And I should try Tic-Tacs so I appreciate the suggestions.

Dash,

I think the can (of full-fat coconut) is 13 and some oz.

Ingredients:

1 can coconut milk (opened and refrigerated for 4 hours or more)
1/4 cup + 1 Tablespoon Cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla (or to taste--I used a whole teaspoon)
Sweeten to taste...I used about 1/2 cup of confectioner's sugar...I tasted and added as it tasted "right" to me. It was not as sweet as most icings I have eaten, but you can put more sweetener if you like

Cindy, first thing I did after reading your post was to open a can of coconut milk (I have several cans that are only three ounces) and the second was to write it down and add to the envelope I have of "recipes to try"...thanks, sounds so good (and I'll try making it lemony).

Yes, that is why America has an obesity problem... frosting shots
Thank goodness I haven't seen those around.

SlowSure I hope your trip was safe and not too nerve racking. I used to be a very relaxed passenger, but the last year or 2 I got a bit nervous. I have not been so great since our accident earlier this month.

Cake is merely a vehicle to deliver frosting to the mouth. Frosting shots cut out the middle man.....and a few hundred calories.

Sorry no photos, ended up running late, as usual. But the wig is a triumph, wish I had hair like that, and the lashes wnt on ok. I wore leopard print chiffon palazzo pants, which kept falling down, and a great black top with lots of cleavage.

I know, I shouldn't even own garments like that at my age.... Altogether it was a really fun evening.

WOW Kissa! Sounds quite awesome! Glad you had fun!

I'm a happy camper as the scale has finally taken a 3 lb dive!

My first week doing 4:3 has been a success. Next week will be 5:2 due to a little trip at the end of the week. I'll be perfectly happy to maintain next week.

Oh...I'm officially "overweight". Hope to never have that "obese" label again!

Have a great weekend everyone.....I'm off to the golf course!

I was about to say it would be a while before I would get out of 'obese' and into 'overweight'. Then I thought I would go do the calculations to see what number would be the divider and discovered...I am only overweight!

Shall we do a Happy Dance together, Lori?

And according to the government's numbers, although my goal is 154, which I have always considered the top range of normal, I will enter the 'normal weight' zone at 164! So I am only 27 pounds away from normal. I'm boggling a little. It seems so achievable.
