Tanya, sending big, big hugs lady. I think you have just found the doctor from heaven. I am not your mother, but I love her too. Listen to her, DO NOT LOOK ON THE INTERNET!

And enjoy the bosses advice, wait and see what turns up. (Think I like the boss too)

Cindy, I see your age now, and I saw your photo earlier on the challenge thread and I think you are a fibber. 49, no way!

Tanya,
I too think you did the right thing in quitting that stressful job and kudos on finding a great doctor. I am searching for one since I called to make an appointment with my regular one and got a recording saying he had died. That shocked me so now I have to go through the doctor selection process which I hate.

AND I have 20 baby chicks in a box under a light next to my incubator. I have had a great hatch and they are so cute. And loud. Hope all are girls. I so hate getting attached to my babies and finding out my favorite is a rooster.

More houseguest arriving today, the last ones left on Friday. Why do I buy pure cotton linen. I hate ironing. Sigh.

I don't iron but I am a former finicky ironer who even used to press flat shoelaces.

Off to the David Nash at Kew today

It was bliss - we were out kayaking and could see all of the much delayed wild flowers starting into growth and blossom and buds on low-hanging trees.

If I ever start ironing linen, I will know that I truly need a hobby. They will be wrinkled anyway after a good night's sleep. If they look and smell clean, that's good enough in my opinion.

Oh, that is dedication! Good Lord, I haven't ironed in years. It either goes to the dry cleaners and gets pressed of it gets washed and worn. Ironing... nope... not I, but I give you props Cindy!

OK! So yes, guilty! was on the internet searching a few things. I was laying in bed thinking and I decided I want to go in educated more than blind. I have found I am pretty sure its not a cancer lump, I think its a fibroid! I learned alot in my searching. I didnt know you can get fibroids in your breast, but you can. I always thought it was either a fluid filled cyst or a cancer mass....I was wrong! Anyway by feel and touch and location it eases my mind with the fibroid thought (did look up the other cause just incase too). That dang Estrogen Domainance thing again......its seems pretty wicked.....and I fit the bill with 80% of what it talks about.

Anyways the most exciting thing I found leads me back to JUDDD!!!!!! Remember when I first started JUDDD and was really big on Restervol (sp?). How it made me feel great, was losing weight and inches, For a while I had a few normal TOM's, wasnt tired, etc etc. Well when hubby lost his job I stopped buying it cause it was an added exspense I could go without..........turns out it was what was helping the Estrogen levels!!! Its a natural estrogen blocker! It really really was making me better for all those months I was taking it.........and since I stopped taking Restervol the weight is climbing, inches are coming back and I am struggling with tiredness, TOM's again, headaches....you name it!! I wish I can post that article, but that site is being stubborn at the moment. As soon as the site is working again, I am posting it for anyone interested!!!

I am going to mention it to the new gynie after all the blood work and that is taken and see if she thinks I should take it again! I dont want to start taking it with blood work being drawn next week and mess with levels of hormones until I am told results.

I'd love to read that article. I've been taking resveratrol for a year, but my cycle is a mess and so are my hormones as per my labs taken 3 weeks ago.

I just checked, site is still down!

Try searching resveratrol and estrogen dominance and see what comes up for you!! There are other sites that list alot of the same things and ideas. I only had that one site bookmarked because it wasnt selling something and wouldnt break the terms here. So much info on it along with PCOS and Thyroid connection to it (estrogen Domainance) too!

I found it by accident looking up one thing that led another than led to another type thing. Then I put in the search resveratrol and estrogen dominance and BAM! pure excitement on my part lol!!!

EDIT TO ADD: Never mind cant post it....got it to come up but it came up with an ad to buy things..... its natural womans care website if you wish to search it...I dont want to get in trouble for direct link!

I should also say normal TOMs as in heaviness not in timing. But that was most likely due to a d&c I had recent to starting JUDDD then the more I think about it.

Tanya, I forgive you as you ended up feeling encouraged. And what interesting news about the Resveratrol. Who have thought it.

Well I guess I am old fashioned I just love crisp fresh ironed bedlinen. It was worth the time spent ironing it all looks so nice. If I won the lottery I'd have fresh bedlinen every night. (With someone else to do all the changes of course.)

Me too - I adore the feel of fresh linen.

I think it was Louis XIV who insisted on having several beds freshly-made each night and he might change beds in the course of a night so that he could re-experience the delight of fresh linen.

Tanya, I am just over the moon happy that you quit that nasty job!!! Good for you!!!!!!! Very happy to hear that your research didn't cause you increased anxiety, too. It's wonderful you have such a lovely new doctor that is listening to you and working WITH you now!

LG, hope you had a lovely bday girl! Ah, I loathe pictures, too. I have triple chins and always look super huge in photos. Always have, in fact! Oh well. It's a good thing I'm generally not a very vain person. LOL!

Waving at everyone! We got back from Disney yesterday. I certainly didn't want to come home. It's gloomy & cold, grey skies and all brown here. No sign of spring yet in the tundra! hard to leave all that gorgeous sunshine & summer-like temperatures!

Is this a joke because I'm not laughing!

So I have stretch marks on my stomach - find me a woman with kids who doesn't. They all appeared during or after pregnancy, of this I'm sure.
So today I'm doing my thing, looking in the mirror and to my horror - I have a new stretch mark!!! Its higher than the "baby" ones, right next to my belly button on the right side. Um, excuse me? How is it I'm getting stretch marks from LOSING weight?!?!?!?!?!?!
I'm a little traumatized here...
<That's me, in the corner, in the fetal position, rocking back & forth>

((Yennie)) I don't know why a stretch mark would appear but I know you are SO much more than the way your tummy looks! You are WAY too maaaarvelous to spend time considering a slight imperfection.

Happy birthday, Cindy!

I am, but only for the last few weeks. Your other posts about it inspired me to start!

I like it, it feels fantastic and I enjoy how smooth my skin is afterwards. I'm not sure I'm seeing any of the other benefits yet but I enjoy it more than the scruby soaps in the shower.

Adi - do you ever brush without showering after? I've read mixed reviews on that...thoughts?

Yennie - you can dry skin brush anytime. I often brush before a shower or after a shower or even before I get dressed. So yes. Anytime.

Yennie I hear you about the stretch marks and mine are all due to being previously fat! I can't even blame pregnancy.

Regarding this and other body image issues I will be in Florida in the next 4 hours and feel nervous about putting on the swim suit. I have cover ups, that's for sure, but my upper thighs and upper arms are not cute.

I was doing really well with the exercising until the car accident, but I think I'm back to my regular pain which I can push through so when vacation is over the elliptical, my resistance bands and free weights will be bonding!

Yes, but with plenty of sunscreen. I do need the sunshine and warmth. I've been fr.fr.fr.freezing since mid-September!

I will be scoping Sarasota out as a potential residential destination at some point in time... I'm expecting to hear about a promotion at work when I return, but if that doesn't come through moving to a warmer state will sound very attractive

Katiebubb- prayers coming your way. (I'm with you- I like all the information I can get, not just the information I am given, even if it is from someone I trust.)

I like my stretch marks. They are all from pregnancy, so I feel like the are badges of honor. And the silvery-ness looks cool with my complexion(fair).

Carly, have lots of fun! The weather is glorious down there right now...very hard to leave. I'm sure you'll have a great time! Definitely wear the suit, btw. If *I* can wear a suit, you definitely can! I must admit, I wore a tankini top with long black swim trunks, though. My DH hated it. <shrug> My thighs & knees are atrocious looking...I wasn't going to expose those!

Btw, Sarasota is delightful! I had an aunt that lived down there for a long time. We loved visiting her. Gorgeous!

You're exchanging comments with someone who is the stereotype Celt (you likewise look very fair) and burns at the drop of the proverbial hat, sloughing skin like a slug trail behind me in the process.

I have to apply factor 30+ most of the time. I always try and get some exposure though as at this longitude we can't store enough vitamin D to take us through the Winter (like NY, I suppose) and this has been such a long Winter that most of us must have depleted our stores a while ago.

Both the promotion and the plan to move somewhere warmer sound splendid - good luck with both.

Update on Lily:

She's 4 months and now 55.5 pounds! The vet says she's healthy and at a good weight for her frame, but needs to be on a diet because she's growing too fast and it's not good for her bones and joints. This has me .

She's also getting spayed today, which has me a bit nervous. Send doggy love, please.
