I'm surprised how easy of a time I'm having with this way of life. Granted its only been my second DD. I did get a little light headed today though. Tomorrow is my UD so I get to eat!! YAY! Of course I'll be weighing in before I eat tomorrow so we'll see how much progress if any that I've made. Seeing I lost 5 lbs after my first DD I'm not expecting anything large.

That's awesome! Took me two weeks to lose 7 pounds. I had one UD that I was 1,000 calories over my calorie allotment! YIKES-A-RAMA!

From what I understand it happens. My frustration tends to be if I decide to eat out on an UD and you can't find there nutrition info online. So I have to guess and just hope it's right or not too low. I count my calories usually before I start cooking and once I hit that point where my calories are used up the kitchen is closed.

I know what you mean! Tomorrow is my DD. I have coffee with cream for breakfast, pepperoni/cucumber sandwich for lunch, spinach omlette for dinner. I have to really plan, or I'm in trouble!

I'm finding it easier than I expected too! And surprised that the UDs are actually tougher than the DDs.

I've been trying to plan out my whole day, at least a day ahead of time. I plug stuff into my calorie calculator and try different varieties and amounts until it comes out close to what I need for the day. But there is always that unexpected lunch meeting at work, or dinner out. Sometimes ya just gotta wing it, enjoy it, and get over it.

Exactly.... No one can be in control all the time. You should be able to enjoy your UD. Nice thing is even if you gain you have 36 hours to "fast" and it should come off fairly quick.

Hey guys, My name is Daisy and I'm new to the JUDDD forums! I'm ate low calorie today and I'm still feeling good. I'll be officially starting on Thursday with my first DD and extreme calorie restriction. I'm looking forward to it. I'm hoping this diet will help me lose some weight because I've been trying to lose for 3 months will no luck on every other diet.

I do have a question though.

Since this is a low carb forum, does everyone stick to a low carb diet on their UP DAYS? Is that a requirement for this diet to be effective?

Not at all. Many of us started out LC and then found JUDDD. Some of us do JUDDD low carb or lower carb, some of us don't worry about carbs. I've done all those things! It works no matter how you do it because it truly is all about calories. Of course, having said that, some carby foods can be triggers for cravings and such, so you've got to figure out your own body and what works best for YOU.

Hi Memory Keeper It's great that you're doing so well on JUDDD. I actually just had a few questions. I saw you came to JUDDD from Hcg? I'm currently on R4 P3. I'm actually just finishing up week 2 of P3. So far 1 correction day after indulging in some strawberry cake at my mom's Otherwise I've stuck to proteins & fats with little to no carb stuff and I've done ok. Well I've still got those "last 8-10 lbs" that I want to lose & I'd like to do it without another round of hcg. I'm just burnt out on it I think lol especially since this round was awful & very slow for any weight loss. So I just wondered with you coming from hcg if you had any initial issues with weight gain when first switching to JUDDD? Also are you staying more Low carb with JUDDD or are you having some things you want such as *gasp* carbs lol So just wondering what your experience has been especially since it looks like with 7 lbs gone that it is working for you?

Thanks!
Jenny
