Saving $$ with JUDDDing

Has anyone noticed a decrease in their grocery bills? I'm newish to JUDDDing so people might have discussed this before, although I didn't see anything. I did my shopping for the week and spent about $30. Granted, I'm single, but still! And I don't foresee even eating everything that I bought in a whole week. Loving it!

Yep, especially a decrease in things like drive throughs and restaurants!

You bet! In the first few weeks, when I was figuring out what to eat on DDs and buying a bunch of new (to me) low cal foods, I spent more. But then once I was stocked up and figured out what I like to eat, I'm saving sooooo much! Isn't it great? It even makes me feel free to spend a little more on other things like Davids Tea and some gourmet type treats. I LOVE JUDDD!!

Definitely! My husband and I are both JUDDDing (not out daughters, though) and the food is just lasting longer. I am starting to make more single portions of dishes, so that there are not leftovers tempting us on Down Days. By the time our Up Day gets here, we want something new, not a rerun.

Well, I was basically eating only every other day so yup my grocery bill was a lot lower. It is still is with only a couple DDs per week since I don't eat a lot of snacks and stuff that is unnecessary.

Alot less shopping for sure...I usually eat a Wendys Chili or a potato or 2 on my DDs and UDs are often spent out with friends or family.Sooo I hardly grocery shop at all.

I only have to go to the grocery about once every 2 weeks, except to get fills-in, like eggs or green peppers (I eat alot of those). DH eats mostly beef jerky, peanut butter right out of the jar, and hamburgers. (I honestly have no idea what he eats on a regular basis) and DD doesn't really eat enough to keep a bird alive. So I have taken over the fridge with lots of veggies, and the freezer with chicken, fish, and hamburgers. All that lasts me FOREVER!

Yes! It's kind of depressing, sometimes, I see so many good things in the grocery store that I'd like to make, but I'm like, we won't use that up before it goes bad. DH and I both JUDDD, have been for the past year, but it's just us now and we're getting used to shopping for, what turns out to be, basically, one person.
