D: A cup of chili that I make with very lean beef and all veggies(no beans) lots of mushrooms, peppers, carrots etc. & canned tomatoes. I ran it thru a recipe builder and it came out to about 100 calories a cup. :yummy:

This morning I mashed 5 hb eggs with ff ranch dressing, to make an egg salad. So far I've eaten some of it on a toasted light English muffin and then I'll eat the rest of it throughout the day with a fork. Plus one cup of diet hot cocoa this afternoon.

495 calories for the day.

Nothing but diet orange soda so far. I know, I know....not good for me, but I love it. I had no time to make coffee, plus didn't want to count 100 calories right off the bat today.

L-iceberg lettuce, tomato, celery, 1 pack of honey ham - generous guesstimate, 142 cals total.

Broth as needed....

D-undecided

I didn't plan today yesterday, so I'm just going to be munching on this 340 calorie burrito (Sukhi's frozen burrito/street wraps...those things are delicious :yummy:) whenever my stomach makes noises.

I have had a 40 cal slim jim because that was the lowest calorie thing I could find.

L: ? maybe none or if I get hungry another slim jim
D: ? thinking Wendy's chili would be good

340 total if I do the small chili or 490 if I do the large.

DD today

I am doing a PDD today. I've decided to try doing these on one DD per week. My current favorite way to prepare PH spuds is to peel them, put them through the fry cutter and bake them in a 450 degree oven with just a smidge of spray oil. Salt them when done and eat with Walden Farms zero calorie ketchup.

I do not stay under 500 calories on these days; oddly they are more effective when I do not, but rather eat to satisfaction which is more like 900 - 1000 calories. That is why I have decided to only do these one time per week for now and see how it works out as I sure don't want to turn off SIRT1.

Last week when I did this it knocked me off of my 2.5 week stall, which had included under 500 cal PDDs.

I've decided I might have about 2 oz of pork spare ribs that I cooked last night, for dinner tonight. Without bone, I found that 1 oz is 72 calories...so, I will have room for that if I decide to have it. :)

Well lunch was the slim jim and sun chips 180 cal
I have decided dinner will be oriental stir fry (2 servings or if I am hungry, I will eat up to 4 serving) 120-240 cal

total for today will be somewhere between 340-460

May have more potato, may not. :dunno:

I had planned a bunch of mini meals today but so far I've had coffee with 1 tbsp HWC. I'm going to try a little less each DD. maybe get down to a tsp??
1 pkg seaweed snacks. First time trying those and I love them!
Celery and diet coke.
Be back later with whatever I need to add.

Haven't planned or eaten yet today. I have 150 calories of buffalo chicken here with me at the office if needed but this cold seems to have killed my appetite so going with nothing but liquids for now. Maybe a Wendy's run for chili on my way home later....

I ate about 1/2 a greenhouse cucumber with salt because my body was shaking a bit and doing some swaying motions.

Tweaked my plan and had a flat bread/turkey wrap for supper, instead of more egg salad. Around 600 calories total for the day :)

Ok, a granola bar jumped me while I was making supper for my family :o :laugh: Sooo today ended up being around 750 calories and I'm done, done, done lol.

Sara, do you find DDs harder on 5:2? I found it harder to decide to have a DD, because I didn't have set days. I ended up enjoying them once I did commit to it, and I stuck to 500 but had trouble going any less than that.

I had a meeting that started at 12 noon and I wasn't hungry before it and after sitting for three hours with a lawyer for us and one for them I sure didn't have an appetite afterwards sooooo I am having coffee with HWC for dinner so total calories for the day should be 275. So there is no excuse not to drop at least a pound this week.

I think I'm having a difficult time this week because I hit my maintenance range last Saturday and a little voice is whispering that I really don't need to do dds anymore :p I'm having a really hard time being motivated to do a low dd right now, especially after I hit a new low today, after having five uds (2 of them were uuads) in a row :dunno: But, I want the health benefits of IF so I have to keep at it!

Ended up eating my buffalo chicken (150) then came home and sautéed a chicken sausage with onion and pepper (250) then got into a piece of chocolate (40). I better quit right now at 440 before it becomes 1440!

Not Sara, but I'm jumping in anyway. I don't find them any harder, BUT I have set DDs (Tuesdays and Fridays), so there's no decision to be made. Maybe that's the biggest problem. I also routinely stay under 300 with an odd 400 or more calorie DD.

I have finished eating on my first DD.

I'm kind of hungry. Boo!

Here's what I had:

Two chicken thighs (boneless, skinless) 6 oz total
Two eggs
About 2 cups of cauliflower
1/2 tsp evoo

That comes out to about 435 calories.

I was feeling pretty good until the last hour or so. I ate dinner at 6 and my stomach is now growling.

I did have 2 DDs a week, both weeks that I tried 5:2, so even though it was a little hard to decide on a DD, I did it. I wasn't losing though, so I had to go back to regular rotations. It did kind of jump start me I think, because I am losing a little better now. :)

ETA: I ended up making a smoothie for dinner with a little bit of whole milk because my almond milk was nearly gone. Strawberries and a tiny bit of banana, vanilla whey and I think I'm at around 400 for the day. Done.

Dds do get easier after you've done a few of them, great job on getting through the first one so well :high5:
