Not eating on a down day.

How bad is this? If I do not consume anything during my down days other than water, is that a bad thing? :dunno:

It's a good thing. But don't stress yourself trying to do it if you have a very hard time. Dr. J actually says it is best to fast completely, but you must drink your water. And add lemon to the water if that's not gross to you.

Thank you!:) I was just making sure because I was confused. I just stick to my gallon of water and adding a lemon is no problem at all!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pseb1c45cb.gif Yep, what tex said! If you can do a complete fast, good for you! If not, that's ok as well. Do you get hungrier when you try to eat a bite of something? (I do!)

zipp2play 03-13-2013 05:35 AM

I agree, if you are capable, go for it!

Thats great~ Your doing fine with complete fasting.. I have always found that not eating was way easier then tryign to feed with in only 500 cals.. always seamed to make me hungry~

JMBM 03-13-2013 07:02 AM

Whoo who, you go girl! I want to so bad, but I always usually end up with 200 or so. But I may give one a try myself and just see if I can push through it.;)

I believe the good Dr. even says it would be best not to eat anything on a DD it's
just that almost no one can stand doing it.

Kissa 03-13-2013 07:38 AM

Yup, that's what he said. Good for you if you can.

full fasting is great. I go through phases where I dry fast down days from late evening one day until as late the next day as I can to get the full fasting benefits. I usually make it to mid day the following day, then just add water.

I have totally fasted on DDs before thinking that I would see this big impressive drop on the scale the next day. I didn't, I actually gained a little:annoyed:. But it was fairly easy to do. I haven't done it in a while though.

I have done this several times but never saw an increase in weight loss so I decided to just eat low calories. Everyone is different so go for it.

Dr. J did say a complete fast is optimal, but just feared most would not do that. I usually fast till a bedtime snack for about 200 calories which I need so I can take my arthritis meds.
