I find them in the veggi section (next to the tofu items) at Safeway. They are only about $1.50 per bag.

I've seen them ranging anywhere from $1.99 to $3.69. I can get them cheapest at the Asian market, but you have to know what you're looking for, since they don't have the same brands we're used to seeing at the neighborhood supermarket.

I will admit that is when they are on sale (2 for $3). Regular price is $1.99. There are a couple of brands, but I like the Shirikaki because they are 0 carbs, and 20 calories. The other brand has more carbs and calories.

I've actually found them cheaper at the organic co-op market place as opposed to the chain grocery store.
Also, Sher - my sister can't get them in Hawaii (or so she claims - weird, right?) and orders them off Amazon. If you can get them shipped free might be worth it.
I just finished a dinner where I used the tofu ones. Rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse then pan fry for a minute to dry them off. Added 5 cups frozen Costco stir fry veggies then seasoned with:
sesame oil, soy sauce, yellow curry, ginger, garlic salt, onion powder and cayenne to add some bite. Cooked until some of the veggies were actually starting to brown (that's how we like them), added some chopped chicken breast and for around 150-200 cals per serving all 3 of us are stuffed! My almost-3 year old son loved the noodles! Course, this is the same kid that would rather eat salad than french fries so I'm not sure he's the best judge

Thanks Jen! I'll check out Amazon because I have Amazon Prime and maybe can get free shipping.

It isn't particularly hard but I did it about twice and decided I would just buy them. Mine were good and I cmade them thicker than the angel hair.

Nice to know someone already tried and they were good!
Do home-made ones lack the alkaline/fishy smell?

They are expensive to buy! I've just found a UK source of gluc powder so I might have a go sometime!!

I've made them a lot. If you eat them regularly making them can be a real PITA!

Adi, they look great - and brilliant idea to use a syringe instead of cutting them up!
Thanks again!
