Yes! My dh just did this! He taped a piece of 1/4 round floor moulding to the control panel of our treadmill, so he could use an iPad to read or watch a movie.
It's super mcguyver but totally works. He used packing tape. Lots of it. Like, you might not find any for a while.

I put two coathooks on the console area of my treadmill. I can set thick books and magazines on there, and they stay open.

Oh, I bet those hooks that stick to the wall would work well. They come in all sizes, and you could use as many as you need. They can also be removed. (My treadmill has a built-in book ledge, so it's not something I ever thought about before.)

Don't you get dizzy reading while walking or jogging???

I either watch tv or listen to music on the treadmill but the printed page would make me hurl I think.

Oh my goodness!!! Here I thought my wish was pie in the sky thinking! Guess before I whip out the duct tape (if any can be found, Soren ), I think I'll check out Amazon.

I finished the book yesterday at work. Quite a sarcastic, yet helpful, thing she is!

Just be sure everything is secure so your book doesn't fall and trip you!

And no, I don't get dizzy.....I did most of my grad school studying reading on the treadmill!

I got to thinking about the up/down motion, too, and got woozy just thinking about it!! I looked at that holder on Amazon and thinking about getting one. The face on my elliptical is kind of .. "poofy" in the middle. Wish they had one with sides on it. I can just see my Kindle flyin' off one side or the other and me diving to catch it even if would land on carpet!

I'm taking the train into a meeting in the city today so plan to finish the book on the train. My ride from home is 27 minutes, but the ride back to my office is less than 20 minutes, but I don't have much left. Nilla, I'm very jealous that you get to read at work... I'm actually jealous of anyone who gets to take their lunch break.

Note to self... Start forcing self to take lunch at least 1 time per week working way up to 3-4 days a week.

Well it didn't happen today- lunch that is, but I got a bit of reading in on the train. I like this book on so many levels, but there are a few typos/ editting issues, which always throws me a little. I love how spot-on she is with things and not just weight loss related.

I got about 1/2 way through in one reading... she's not wrong, and I like the style of it, but there was something about it that made me sort of , ya know?

I do like the general sort of mantra of: well, change what you're doing, or stay fat.

Yes, I do know. Every once in awhile, I'd go .. "but, but". Then I'd look at my butt. Yeah, although I liked her approach and agreed with so much, I know what you mean about the "something". Even with that, I'm still glad I got it as the title has kept me going when I'm about to throw in the towel!
