Weight loss after 2 week Induction?
 
I love hearing the numbers! I'm only on my 6th day of induction and since I was too chicken to weigh myself before, I do not have an accurate number yet. Seeing loss results area true motivator for me though, so if you don't mind sharing, what were your initial 2 week loss results?

.....I bit the bullet and purchased a digital scale this morning. I had an older dial scale that unfortunately was "off" so I got an accurate reading this morning. :eek: I was unsure whether or not I would weigh in until after induction, but as many of you mentioned in my previous thread, it does keep you accountable. So, as hard as it is for me, I will be weighing in the morning after my down days. Hopefully I will see some results on Weds, morning...I will check in then with the results no matter what they are! :dunno: I'm also cutting back on some of my work outs because I have a feeling that strength training might be building quite a bit of muscle on me and I'm worried that it will affect the numbers. I come from a naturally muscular family (seriously, the guys ..and some girls..in my family are unnaturally ripped and HUGE :mad: ...so I build muscle VERY quickly and it tends to make me bulky instead of lean)..and I'm concerned that it might be counterproductive during this initial stage of weight loss. I am thinking of just sticking to light cardio and ab work for now until I get a bit further into my weight loss journey. :up:

My initial two week weight loss was zero. So don't judge JUDDD if you do not see a loss. Just sayin'. I then went on to lose 40 pounds with JUDDD.

My two week weight loss was 6 lbs. Since then I've not lost that much in a month's time, any month! Patience is KEY with JUDDD. :)

I'm very patient...hopeful lol...but patient. I think we all hope for miraculous 40lb a month weight loss haha...but realistically I'm hoping for about 10lbs a month so I can get to my mini goal by May.

I lost 3 lbs in week week one and nothing in week 2 so I'm glad I gave it longer!

The scales do not give an accurate reflection of what's successfully going on with JUDDD. They can be a useful tool to keep you accountable but you must not be heavily invested in your weight because it's typical for the numbers to bounce up and down or even stall for a while, though lots of amazing things can be happening to your waistline.

I suggest you have a read of the non-scale victories thread.

10lbs per month may be a bit optimistic. If you're easily discouraged, it might be counter-productive. On the other hand, if you've a tendency to be complacent it could help you stay on track.

Some lose a lot of water weight at first but, realistically, most of us usually lose only 1-2 lbs per week. The loss is slow but it's sure. It tends to stay off and not balloon back on if you have a week's vacation or a family celebration.

Hopefully lots of veteran JBs will now contradict me and assure you that they've easily lost at least 10lbs every month ........

I lost 7.6 pounds in my first 2 weeks, but then gained in my 3rd week. As others have said, it's all over the place and depends on so many factors. I also worry that you're thinking 10 pounds per month is "realistic." With JUDDD, all bets are off. You might lose 10 pounds this month and stay the same next month, lose 12 the following month, gain the 4th month. LOL, it's really not linear or even steady for some of us, so I don't want you to get discouraged if you're expecting more than you see initially.

I lost 8 pounds in my first 2 weeks. Then it did slow down a bit, plus TOM always stops me in my tracks for a week or more. But I kept losing after that. Give JUDDD a chance to work its magic on you, and you won't be sorry!

These results are fantastic! I won't give up on it, even if I don't see a loss. I know 10 a month is pushing it a bit, but a girl can always hope. I'm realistic though, I know it probably won't be that easy! I'll be happy with any type of loss or even a stall because that is better than gaining!

I don't recall after the first 2 weeks what my losses were, but most months I lost 8-10 pounds. One month may have been 5, but one was 11. I lost my last 10 pounds as quickly as my first 10. That shocked me- in a good way of course!

I have lost about 3#/week over the last 3 weeks since starting, but it is hard to tell exactly with the bounce and all. Seems to have been pretty consistent. I'll take it!

Just went through old posts and found my weigh ins for the first month I did JUDDD, last November. I came from a general lc plan-had lost 10lbs in October, quickly stalled and regained 3lbs. That's when I discovered JUDDD :love:

November goal: Get into the rhythm of JUDDD and get into the 150s

11/7 UD 163.5 first day on JUDDD
11/8 UD 162.5
11/9 DD 162.5
11/10 UP 161.0
11/11 DD 161.5
11/12 UP 160
11/13 DD 160
11/14 UD 160 sooo close to getting in the 150s
11/15 DD 160 really hoping for a whoosh tomorrow
11/16 UD 159
11/17 DD 159
11/18 UD 159
11/19 MD 160 ended up being more of an up day bleh!
11/20 UD 160
11/21 DD 160.5 I've started adding carbs back into my diet so probably why I'm going in the wrong direction right now. Yesterday I had potatoes for the first time in over a month-got so sick afterwards !
11/22 FD 158.5 I can't believe I had that big of a whoosh-TOM started last night! So happy!

I started JUDDD on the 7th and since then have lost 7.5lbs for my first month! I made my November goal and I'm now a firm believer that JUDDD not only works, but it's also a WOE I can do long term :heart:

Over the next 19 and a half weeks (I had 10 days off over christmas but I have been on plan all the rest of that time) I have lost a further 15. lb. So that's 23. lb in total since I started on October 1st 2012.
Definitely not been a speedy loss for me, averaging out at about 1 lb per week. I admit I often moan that the losses are too small/slow but then I have to remind myself I still get to eat carbs, I do not even have to count them I just count my calories and I can have treats if I fit them in my calorie allowance.

I don't remember exactly but I know I was thrilled! I only had 10 lbs to lose and I lost more than that over the first 12 weeks. 14 pounds!

I was just happy enjoying so many foods I had lived without for over 10 years.

Yep, same here. It has been a little slow, but it's steadily going down. Better than the other direction anyway. ;)

That's awesome. I bet you were very diligent weren't you? I think now I'm digging my heels in on this thing and have a mindset that I have worked so hard now that I'm going to nip this thing in the bud! lol:annoyed:;)

I lost 7 pounds in my first two weeks. This is the end of my fourth week so I'll weigh in tomorrow, but I'm expecting a stall or prepared for it I should say. I think you should probably look more towards the non-scale victories. We tend to just want the pounds off and don't consider the inches we're getting rid of.

Yes, Lili, the Non Scale Victory thread here is a lifesaver for those days when the scale doesn't play ball. Reading other peoples triumphs is as uplifting as our own sometimes.

It is always a good idea to have a pair of pants just one size too small as a goal. Many of us missed a whole size while waiting for the scales to move, lol.

TOM is such a pain in the butt. I was prepared, but still annoyed this morning when I weighed in. I know I need to weigh in again in two days once that's over. Just need to stay positive and let JUDDD work.

After the 2 week induction do most of you up your calories to 35%? I have had really good weightloss, but have stuck at the 20% according to the JUDDD online calculator. I could really stay at that original percentage until I reach goal. I know that some people pick 500 calories and stick with that. Not sure what is best.

I stayed at 20%. I have just now started raising my DD with the potato DD's but when I do a regular DD it is still low.

I never went above 20%. I dropped down to more like 10-5% a few month in. I'm just now trying to raise my DDs up to about 300-350.
