L: Maybe lightly breaded tilapia with green beans and mashed potatoes = 320

S: Would like a piece of strawberry pie (320) from Shoney's but don't know if I'll be getting out today. It's pouring down rain.

I still have lots of calories left over, so I may have some lovely French bread and salami, or Girl Scout Cookies, or BOTH!

Also planning on Zumba tonight.

Yay for you Stacy! I had a 1.2 loss and I'm thrilled! I think me dropping my DD number has really helped. I've have also been really pushing the fluids on both U and DD's. And keep up the good work!

Sounds yummy Dawn. I wish I could do Zumba. It looks like so much fun. My sister does it and is really good at it. Me, not so much.

Hehe, I wouldn't say I'm "good" at it. I'm sure I look ridiculous (and DH and Keira have confirmed this), but it's fun anyway!

Good morning everyone!! So glad for your losses thus far!
LCG-Shamrock Shake, we have been talking about this! yum yum yum!
Evie-as much as your problem not being able to get in, or having a hard time getting in the UD calories, I have to say, I have the opposite problem! Staying within my calories is the hard part!!
Dawn, I want a banh mi!

B: 3 girl scout Samoa cookies, coffee with cream-265
L: 1.5 salmon croquet, salad-possibly will be about 400 calories
D-hamburger patty with all the fixins, maybe some FF.-500
and there will be a lot more on my plate today, I am sure!

I am so glad it's an UD!

I agree with you, I was so low on my DD menu planning and was so scared to hit that high of cals, but I listened to the veterans here and I get very close to my UD cals of 2209 and it has worked...I am hoping it continues, but I am following their lead and the book and the science behind it and so far am soooooo thrilled... good luck, you can do this

I'm gonna try Stacy! Thinking of baking some banana nut bread later on. I don't have much of a sweet tooth unfortunately, buttered popcorn is 1/2 of what got me to where I am today LOL. It's nice to know that with this woe I can enjoy it now without feeling guilty!

I am so with you sister, I felt so guilty last week when i was eating peanut butter toast and was so afraid to step on the scales today....but i am so glad i got in the mindset that it was ok to eat it, and also to let myself know to not stress so much about carbs.....it has worked, so I am going to keep trucking right along

have a super day

Hello all!
So, first, I need to offer a bit of encourgement to our newbies. I'm now at a new low, 185.2# - which isn't that impressive when you consider that I hit my previous new low 185.4# about 2 weeks ago. BUT - in those last 2 weeks I've been off plan (read: eating basically anything I want with no rotations and no DDs) for 7 of the last 14 days. I'm absolutely thrilled to have maintained - JUDDD works!!!
B: Coffee w SF vanilla & FF milk
S: Greek yogurt, frozen berries & honey (220)
L: Not sure yet
D: Fave BBQ restaurant - depends on how many cals I have left to use up but probably the smokehouse salad (lettuce, cheddar cheese, chopped brisket & fried onions - 560) and the yeast roll (185 and worth every single bite!)

I've got the banana bread going now...added walnuts for extra cals (I never would have thought I'd say that in my life...lol)...calculated the whole thing out at 3629 cals, so sliced into twelve big slices that will give me about 302 calories. Might make a nice breakfast treat on my ud's!

Today is my first UD and I ran to Target with the kids. While I was there, I was sucked in by the Easter candy and ended up with the small Reese's PB eggs and Peeps. After I bought them, I thought "oh well, I will just binge on these tonight so I can start over tomorrow" but then realized I *can* have them without breaking my eating plan! Holy Freedom! I have eaten one of the eggs but my binge mentality seems to be totally chilled out because it is not forbidden.

Oh when will I learn to look things up before I go out to eat!!! Was at 175 for breakfast then decided to do lunch with my daughter and we really didn't have time for me to sit at the computer researching what was not to high calorie wise. So when I get there I look at the menu thinking I'll get half a turkey club and a bowl chili and then I get home to log my cals and find out a whole turkey club is like 1200 calories and the chili was 350. What makes me so mad is that it wasn't really what I wanted, but got it thinking it was a "lighter" choice so I could have my yum, yums for dinner!!! Lesson learned: Stay far away from Shoney's! That's the place that got me in trouble last time.

Sometimes I wonder what restaurants put in stuff to make their calories so high! I have learned to ask for no mayo!

oh i havent tried that, but if we had known each other then, i sure would of...

i just thought of a question, and sorry if i have asked it or someone else, but it came to my mind

when i read the DD thread..some of them are fasting and then just having a drink for dinner, which put cals wayyyyyyyyyy low....is that because they are past the first 2 weeks and at that time you can go that low and be under your DD that much??...I know I was told to make sure I hit my cals on DD as well as UD and just curious about this...after 2 weeks, do you change etc? thanks

According to Dr. Johnson, a full fast would be ideal, but he knew many/most of us would not do that, so that's why some calories are allowed. The lower on DDs, the better. I often have 250 calories or less, but rarely fast completely.

ETA: It's important to try to hit your numbers or below on DDs, and right around your UD numbers, if that makes sense. The wider the swing between the two days, the better the SIRTs get flowing.

Stacy, you can fast completely on any DD-if you are able to. I think that is actually optimal to do so. But since it is very difficult for most people to do so, Dr. J came up with the plan JUDDD in which he has calculated numbers for us that will still release the SIRT1 protein. He
