Just peeking in on the 5:2 thread. This is probably where I will be someday in the future. I'm hoping by August. Learning a lot from you pioneers.

Mike Mosely did 6:1 for a while but went back to 5:2. Just saying...

125.6 after a munch DD. Went a bit over 500, not a good idea when only doing 2DDs a week.

Yes, Spring would be very nice. It rained and rained here yesterday not pleasant.

I wonder what his calories were on the six days when he tried it? I figured mine out based on still wanting to lose .5lb a week. But, if someone was following the vague 2,000 calorie normal day recommendation he gives, then I could see 6:1 becoming a problem

Ok, after my uuad weekend the scale went from my lowest weight so far,134.5, to 136.5 yesterday. After a 1,450ish calorie day yesterday my weigh in this morning was 136lbs. So far, so good lol.

It was a really fast segment, but it's pretty easy to explain the FastDiet in just a few words. They asked him to quickly answer some viewer questions, and he showed a few examples of food choices on fasting days. Hopefully we'll be able to get a link to it soon. He's here in the US promoting the release of his book, so I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of Dr. M. on TV in the US this week.

88 in Aggieland yesterday. Hit a record!

Today just gonna hit 79.

Had a decent DD yesterday (stayed below 700) Hey that's decent for me! If you factor in my exercise I net 340.

Wow, temps. in the 80s is only in the middle of summer around here in western Pa.

For a couple of minutes this morning, I did catch a glimmer of sun rays for the first time in over a week peeking out through the clouds, but now it's sleeting again.

My fasting day yesterday only lasted until 4:00, when I had a piece of birthday cake to celebrate my oldest grand daughter's 8th birthday. Oh well, there'll be another chance to have another fast day tomorrow & again on Fri. Nothing lost, nothing gained.

Hope you all have a great today, no matter what you call it!

Kelly, I just saw your signature after logging in to post.

Congrats on I have not smoked a cigarette in over 1000 days! That's quite an achievement!

I couldn't agree more with your other line in your sig. too, about exercise making you look good naked, not just in your clothes!

Sher, I just read on the weigh in thread - that you're shrinking so much that your shoes are getting too big!

Can't wait to see how hot in Texas you look in a couple of weeks in that smaller size dress of yours!

I won't dare go bare legged either wearing my dress on Easter! Is it true that nude panty hose are considered a thing of the past? Sorry to have to say it, but this old timer won't be caught dead without them on these flabby legs of mine.

I think nude nylons are becoming a thing of the past but I always wear them to church, except for when it's super hot, because I have really ugly vericose and spider veins that are really noticiable. My 82 yr old grandma has better looking legs than I do

I just bough my Easter dress yesterday- all of us who dress up for Easter should take pictures of ourselves on Easter morning and put them in a thread

Thanks Zib, but I think it's really too soon to tell if any of us little guinea pigs will have long term success with 5:2 or not.

Dawn, Cindy & Sara lost their weight with JUDDD ADF, and are in the process of trying 5:2 for maintenance.

Great idea Sara! I haven't had to wear panty hose over the last couple of years, since I've only been wearing Maxi dresses & skirts with either boots or sandals, after they thankfully came back into fashion. I'm pretty much what they call a "left over hippie flower child from the seventies" anyhow, and dress most frequently in what's referred to as "Bohemian style". So I know I'm not really with what's up to date these days, as it may be too late for this old dog to learn the new tricks in how to dress with the current trends...whatever they be. Since I'm totally clueless in that department. I'm just relieved to be able to still get away with wearing boot leg jeans, since skinny straight leg ones came back in and they look more like peg leg tapered Mom jeans on me. And we can only hope those butt ugly jeans will never be coming back in fashion ever again.

We ended up going out to dinner last nigh and I went over on my calories, but we had a great time so it was worth it Back up to 136.5 this am, so I've decided to push my dd to today and I'm also going to do an all egg day. Hopefully that will help get rid of the bounce.

I was quite happy with 126.6 this morning, I ate a lot of bread yesterday.

Will enjoy my UD today, but eat more lightly.

I'm up a couple this morning also, but I'm staying calm and carrying on. Especially looking forward to my fasting day today!

Heading outside now to enjoy the sunshine, which has been a rare sight in this part of the country lately.

Happy First Day of Spring!

Although it's sunny out today, temps. are still so bitter cold that I'm freezing on my fasting day.

I think for now, I'll be more content for the next couple of months of spring hovering around 140, until it at least heats up closer to the 80's this summer. Then I'm pretty sure that I'll be more willing and able to push myself to eat less and drink more meal replacement shakes, without feeling like I'm freezing my butt off to weigh 135.

In the meantime, I need to go grab myself some hot herbal tea & head down to my heated basement for at least 30 min. on my recumbent bike to warm up my frigid body. I'd much rather take a walk outside in the fresh air, but I just caught a glimpse of more snow flakes.

Ann
