My calculated DD # is 348 and today will be the first day to attempt staying in the 300 range.
Trying to stick with it. Just thinking if I can just be strong and tough it out then goal will be just around the corner. I think my DD # for goal is almost 800 calories. I really think that is very doable long term. Last edited by JMBM; 03-06-2013 at 12:04 PM.. Reason: error. |

I know what you mean JM-- I've finally reduced from 500 (or 500+) to the calories for my range on DDs, which is more like 430-450. I know I can go up if I need to, and there is a whole range of numbers, but (hope I don't jinx it) I'm doing ok last week and this week in that DD range, good UDs, and lots of lemon water.
I do miss eating more on DDs, but that's why I'm sticking with my yummy yogurt ![]() |

Exercise is 20 minutes every day for me lately, and I'm sure there's some benefit to exercising on a DD. It doesn't have to be perfection of zero-calorie fasted state. You're right about that, Library Girl.
I used to exercise only on UDs, because I was putting 45 straight minutes in and I felt like I wanted to be "fueled". Now I do 20 every day, so I seem to do as well either day. I think you figure out for yourself how you feel, and find your own way. I don't like to exercise really early in the morning, because I know I'm more flexible later in the day. So no matter what day it is, I probably have SOME food on my tummy before I exercise. I love this Sher: Quote:

I'm a yogurt girl too! i get Dannon ff lite and fit vanilla, and I think it's delicious! It is 55 calories for a half cup, then I add 2/3 tablespoon of honey(soren!) for another 40 calories, and then usually I also add blueberries if I have them. One of these days I'm going to do it on an UD w/ a whole cup of yougurt and 2 tablespoons of honey, and I will be in Heaven!!

Well, doing a dd after not doing them for a few weeks is way harder than I anticipated
Part of tbe problem is I didn't eat enough calories yesterday (didn't know I was coming back to JUDDD until last night). I probably should have made today an ud to get a good start but I was excited to jump back in. I'm at 620ish calories for the day and need something yet to get me through the rest of the night. Thinking of doing 2 cups of popcorn for 60 more calories. That would put me in the 40-45% range, which is the weight loss/maintenance border. I'm in maintenance but have a bit of a bounce I wanted to get rid of. To eat the popcorn, or to not eat the popcorn-such a big decision ![]() |

Today was my first non-potato DD in a while. Liquid fasted until dinner, then had a baked potato with chicken broth (5), salt & A-1 (110) and a broiled pork chop (280) and 1 wedge of Laughing Cow French Onion Cheese (35).
This totals 430, which is 10 under the what the calculator tells me is my allotment for my DDs. Right now I'm stuffed & content...hoping for an early night so I don't have time to blow it!! |

I ended up with 365 for today. Grilled cheese on diet bread and 2% cheese slice for 145 and soup for 220. Plus 1 tbsp of half n half for 20.

Good evening ladies
Today I had a glass of chicken broth..with cyanne pepper(yumm) 5 cal then I waited until around 5 to have a can of light santa fe style chicken progresso soup 160 cal. and just ended off the night with a bowl of peaches and cream instant oatmeal 130 cal. I will most likely have another cup of both at work tonight so i will add that to my total total for the day:300 cal Everyone is doing such a great job!! keep up the good work!! you all keep me motivated ![]() |
