3 March 60km recumbent exercise bike (40km at level 16)
4 March 70km ditto (50km at level 16: speed very slow but a PH DD)
5 March 15km ditto (level 9; speed 21.5km)

Yesterday's exercise was dreadful. I was tired and so cold that I had to wear a foil blanket in order to be able to cycle at all. I'm doing the potato hack and as it's early days I'm feeling quite washed out. I hope matters improve as 15km is horribly poor.

You do some pretty serious walking! I am sure it has very similar health benefits. I notice that many of the participants in the big races now are speed walkers and you get some nice shiny bling for your workout.

I also just did the Hot Chocolate 15K in Seattle - another great one! Those are all over the US so there may be one close to you? Not sure where in Canada you are...
I am thinking of doing the Calgary Marathon, and might do the new Banff 1/2 marathon in June. I have signed up for the Vancouver Marathon but it is a few weeks earlier and I am I thinking that I might need the extra training time. The SeaWheeze in Vancouver sounds fantastic with the Lululemon expo! That would definetly be an incentive to do that one I am in Calgary so those races would be easy for me to get to. There are so many fun races to pick from it is hard to decide on one. The kid's schedule usually decides which race I can pick.

I love that! I could lend you mine to finish the elliptical, but it would take longer for him to get there, than for you to do it yourself!

That made me laugh because while my hubby can put together/fix anything (sometimes even without instructions) my sister's hubby tried to put together her elliptical and completely messed it up to the point where they had to call the company and they sent someone out to fix it Not all DH are alike. I just happened to get lucky hahahhaha

Carly, will it make you mad at me if I tell you I chose ours based on who would assemble in advance for us to just pick it up?

Yes, I have definitely read online reviews that say sometimes ellipticals can be difficult, or at least time consuming, to assemble.

My dh and I are both just delightful people, but do-it-yourself projects sometimes give us bad attitudes!

Yesterday was T-Tapp
Tuesday was elliptical
Monday was Zumba

I'm aiming for 20 minutes of exercise daily.

Back up to 161.4 this morning, but it'll go back down. I'm actually toying with going back to WLM to get to 155, but I'm enjoying 5:2 and "maintenance" so I think I'll give it a little longer. Kimberly, you are such an inspiration with your lifting. I'm still not there yet! I love my Zumba classes, but I'm askeered of the weight room!

The weight room may not be for you.. I read some where that the exersize must fit your personality of sorts.. i hate to dance so for me,, i am as you say.. askeered of Zumba.. So keep on doing what is best for you and your work out routine.. I am envious of your numbers i will admit but its also very motavating

W - Body combat & body pump (Will be starting this night next week)
Th/F-Off, unless I miss a day and will make up with something.

Thank you, thank you! It definitely takes a LOT of dedication - and time, patience, persistence, etc., etc., etc. I've been taking the class on and off for about 10 years, so this wasn't something I just up and did one day, it took me a while to get here! Now if only one day I can look as cut as most of the instructors

Yes & no lol. Every 3 months a new release comes out with new moves, music, etc; The release I trained on was ehhhhhhhhhhh; but the previous one? Fantastic. We are also allowed to mix different releases (once we've taught the current release for four weeks). THAT is what I love because sometimes there will be a song on a release that makes you go "WTH?!". Case in point - years ago YMCA was one. Yes. That song. In a kickboxing workout.

NEVER COMPAIR yourself.. Callanetics is first of all very hard.. I found it to be harder than lifting.. so i chose not to go that route.. Stand tall be proud that you have committed to doing whats best for your body and i applaud you for your dedication to working your plan!! You rock your work out and never feel like its boring.. Somehow my measly little 30 min stroll just doesn't compare. I must confess whimpyness when it comes to exercise. I guess just the mere fact that I am moving is progress for me. Jillian Michaels would eat my lunch! Probably my dinner too.

Katie, I'm just here to say "You are the stuff!" when it comes to exercise. I am a lazy bum!!! Plan on working on that though. I have a friend to walk with now and I think eventually we are going to start running. Makes me hurt just thinking about it. Anyway, just wanted to say great job with your workouts and congrats on your certification!

We had a great boxing workout at boot camp this morning. Love hitting that heavy bag!! Talk about working up a sweat! Whew!

I'm taking off from boot camp till next Tuesday. Our trainer is away at a conference and I just don't care for the substitute. He's a nice guy, but he's just SO loud! A bit too much to take at 5:45 in the morning!

I also wanted to say NOT boring to LCG. The variety WITHIN the hour of Callenetics is the interesting part, just like T-Tapp I do. Some of the moves are really difficult and toning a variety of muscles. Will you take days off? With T-Tapp we would be expected to have days of rest for muscle recuperation.

Katie, Congratulations! This kind of certification and knowledge, to be sure there are really helpful instructors out there, is exactly what we were talking about in (b-lou-who's thread, "fitness or lack thereof".)

And LCG, we don't exercise because it's interesting, anyway.
We exercise because it makes us more interesting!

4 March 70km ditto (50km at level 16: speed very slow but a PH DD)
5 March 15km ditto (level 9; speed 21.5km)
6 March 30km ditto (22km at level 16; speed a wretched 19kmph but PH DD)
7 March 35km ditto (27km at level 16; speed approx 22kmph so still slow)

I soaked in a hot bath before exercising so that I could reduce the feeling of cold and it seems to have helped although I'm still quite slow (probably the effect of the PH as, like others, I'm struggling to eat sufficient calories on my UD).
