I like JUDDD cuz of the relative lack of restrictions, and HCG looks like it has a WHOLE LOT of restrictions! But hat's off to you who can pull it off!!!!
I think the protocol alone would induce a major loss- with or without the HCG- but boy, oh boy... that would make me to eat that for 40 days!

Thats what I was thinking too but apparently the HCG keeps you from going into starvation mode with the 500 cals/day and amps up the losses. People are talking like 0.5#/day!! I'm not sure its worth that though, without a goal or deadline, I think I'd rather eat EOD and go the slow, steady route.

The gals on the Stillman's boards report similar losses and, although they are pretty restricted in what they can eat as well, at least they can eat as much as they want of it!

It is a brutal diet food plan but somehow the very blandness and simplicity of it works; you see food as purely for survival and nothing else. And of course the HCG takes away hunger and you feel very satisfied with the small amount that you eat.

I best amend that. It'd not really an AS but the HCG releases body fat as fuel so even though one is eating 500 calories, they are getting around 2000 calories in addition from their own body fat. You are literally eating yourself, which is why you are not crazy-starving-eating-your-own-leg-hungry. You feel very satisfied. I don't think Dr Simeon even knew fully how it worked except that it does work. And if it was approved by the medical authorities as a bona fide weight loss protocol the whole weight loss industry would practically crumble to it's knees. Could this not at least be made available to people so desperate they are considering surgery as a less invasive and cheaper alternative

Agree the HCG diet is not easy but you do see a loss everyday or almost everyday which keeps you going. I think that is why I have to reset my way of thinking with JUDDD. It is very hard to have a social life though with HCG because your food choices are so restrictive. If you are a recluse it's easy...it was not easy for me but I was determined to finally lose some weight! It was not too diffcult once I made up my mind to do it - I did one round of 40 days and one round of 24 days. Although it is a quick weight loss it not a WOE and I've had a hard time losing any more weight after. However, I do have a loss to report today...2.6lbs! I am now at 157.8 which is the lowest I've been since Christmas. So I see that patience pays off with JUDDD.

Hello everyone! What a beautiful day we are having here in So California. I am so thankful it is Friday and I am ready for the weekend.

Congratulations on everyone's progress this month and now that we are almost at the end of the month I wanted to thank you all for your encouragement, support and warm welcome during these past 3 weeks. I feel like I've found a real 'home' for my continued weight loss journey. I guess we will no longer be March newbies soon.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and a very Happy Easter!
