Edit: I am buying so many clothes atm (because I can fit into all the clearance ones now) and well just because I like dressing up these days that they are literally spilling out of the wardrobe and I have trouble finding stuff. Have moved more into another room and having even more trouble finding them. So yeah, putting weight back on is NOT an option.

Sorry if it seems I'm talking to myself, blame it on OCD or my DD today; looking for inspiration and used the search function on several topics. I just wanted to let newbies know there is soooo much info here if you look in search; hours of reading on those DD's so many contributions and so many posts with info that is new to me (because it hasn't been discussed recently). I think it's great this board is so busy, nothing worse than a dead board, but just a reminder there are some fabulous old posts here, and they just inspire and pump me up and such a waste that they are back in the dusty old attic of the board. Ok back to work for me.

I'm feeling a bit more optimistic this morning. I'm finally seeing a new low number on the scale! After all my whining of the past couple days, when I look back, I've actually lost 3.5 lbs in 3 weeks on JUDDD. I know that is achingly slow, but a downward trend is awesome!

Next week.......onederland!!!

I'm hoping that the changes I made this week will start me on a downward trajectory! Thanks for helping me figure this out as I really want it to work!

I do feel thinner.......I guess there's something to that! I do an intense boot camp class 3/4 days a week and I know I'm building muscle and reshaping my body. Now to just get the scale to cooperate!

Thanks again for not giving up on me!

I have bought more clothes in the past 6 months, than I have in the last 5 years But then a few weeks after i buy them they're too big and I have to get rid of them aready I've been getting most of them at goodwill so I havent't spent too much, yet lol. I am super excited because next Friday an upscale thrift shop in my area is having a 5/$5 sale, and I'm planning on getting gobs of spring/summer clothes for myself $25 equals 25 pieces of clothing-I may need a bigger dresser lol!

I'm glad someone else gets it-I'm the only one I know in real life that loves thrift shopping, besides my dh's grandma And this store has really nice stuff- I went earlier this week to get dh a new shirt for Easter and I ended up with an Easter dress (now I have two lol), with matching shoes and purse, 5 short sleeved shirts for me, 2 remote controlled monster trucks for ds, a pair of new Bass brand sandals for me and then dh did get his one shirt lol. My total was like $30!

I used to help run a thrift type store years ago, and I hardly let things pass thru my fingers. I spent so much there but it was wonderful stuff. I still have some of it 20 years later.

I have to take Keira to the thrift stores this weekend. She's doing a project where she has to present dressed as the person she's reporting on. She got Walt Disney, so I have to find her a little boy's suit. She has a Steamboat Willie stuffed animal she'll carry with her. It's the only way we can think of for her to portray Walt Disney (anyone else have any ideas??). I think thrift stores are awesome.

I like thrift stores and garage sales. I love a bargain. Also when I see something I really like and it is kind of spendy I don't feel so guilty getting it if I really want it. That is usually something for the house instead of clothes. I have a girlfriend that you can give thirty dollars to and she will come home and redo a room for you and you honestly would think you had been to a very nice store and bought these things. She has a eye for house things and repainting or whatever, I only have an eye for clothes. Well today is an UP and it is also grocery shopping for Easter food. I am thankful for Easter being an UD but even if it wasn't going to be I would of still splurged some because you still have to do what works for you. Have a good day everyone. Susan

Our thrift stores also tend to be junky and quite expensive considering I can get clothes cheaper and new at the clearance sales. I go in there wanting to find something, but it's like gahhh....grannie's nighties and dresses.

I suppose wearing mouse ears would be a little too over the top?
My little monkey is getting pretty excited to go to DL, even though he's never been. I'm getting very excited to take him.
Speaking of, been meaning to ask you - what do you think is the best character breakfast venue? They ended the afternoon birthday celebration so now we're going to do a character breakfast. He loves Minnie so I was thinking Plaza Inn but I'm not sure.
I'm going to take a small, pre-wrapped present and see if I can get Mickey to "give it" to him when we go to his house in Toon Town. I think Sam will go nuts if I can get them to do it. I don't see why they wouldn't...???

We've never done a character breakfast. We've had lunch and dinner (at different times) at Ariel's Grotto though, in California Adventures, and it's FANTASTIC! All the characters come to your table and take pictures with the kids, give autographs, etc. And the food is really good.

I'd recommend calling ahead to ask if you can do that with Mickey. They're really good about trying to accommodate requests, but I'd hate for you to be disappointed after waiting forever to see him. The only reason I think they wouldn't is because of the gloves and it might be hard to handle.

A fellow Disney addict here! I was just at DL today. I live about an hour away, depending on traffic. I have had breakfast at Plaza Inn just recently and I know there were a lot of character interaction however I cannot remember if Mickey and Minnie where there! Darn bad memory! I'll ask the group of friends I was with if they remember and let you know.

If I would have known I could have gotten you an autographed picture from Mickey and Minnie sent it to you for your little one. Those are always fun surprises.

Vicki

How do you do that?!?!?!? We went to DL in December for work - our holiday trip. It was, however, a pretty failed scouting mission for the kiddo. We went all the time when I was a kid!

I think they told me Minnie but no Mickey at the Plaza Inn breakfast. Sam loves Cars so I think he's gonna go nuts for CarsLand!

Jealous being so close...wish we were. We'd be there all the time!
