I keep reading people say they are cold on DD's. I've never experienced this on JUDDD that I can recall, although I markedly felt the cold when on HCG, and that was always supposedly a good sign - that the protocol was working and affecting the hypothalamus. What does not feeing the cold mean on the JUDDD - do any of the vets know?

I'm still faffing about with the same couple pounds, but I am back down to my low since doing JUDDD. One of these days I'll see a new low number...I'm hoping!

Congrats to all those dropping the pounds quickly! I'm a little jealous, but still happy for you!

I, too feel cold on down days. Of course, this weather doesn't help matters! Today is the first day of Spring.....HA!! 28 degrees this morning and only to get up to the 30's.

UD today and we're going out for dinner!

Have a great day everyone!

Well done Kim, that was fast. Any secrets to share? What numbers did you do? Any breaks in rotations? May help others to hear how you did it.

Yay Kim and Vicki, very nice! I am tickled for you both and I love Kissa's post about sharing anything that you've noticed that worked so well. That's one of my favorite things about the JB's....we all share our stories and learn so much from each other!

Lori are you counting your UDs. Any chance you are going over or under? What numbers are you usng?

The cold is a good sign that juddd is working it's magic and that you are burning fat.

Hi Carly,

I was using 500/2000, but just yesterday I started the calculated #'s of 385/1915 or something close to that. Plus, I wasn't counting my coconut/MCT oil before yesterday. I'm hoping that the changes I made this week will start me on a downward trajectory! Thanks for helping me figure this out as I really want it to work!

I do feel thinner.......I guess there's something to that! I do an intense boot camp class 3/4 days a week and I know I'm building muscle and reshaping my body. Now to just get the scale to cooperate!

Thanks again for not giving up on me!

Well. muscle sure weighs more than fat and building lean muscle is great for your health. It will prpbably do wonders to count your oil annd stick to lower DDs. I'm rooting for you!

I was actually told the opposite...that me being cold all the time(when losing very fast on lc)meant i was reaching starvation mode and shutting down.Sooo idk but im soooo glad not to be freezing anymore.

Lori - Although I'm new and have only been at this WOE for a week, I bet you begin to lose with those new numbers!

Another note: I am sure that with your workouts you actually look thinner then the numbers on the scale are showing. I watched the finale of the Biggest Loser on Monday and some of the contestants weigh as much as I do or even more but they look much skinner and it has to do with all of that exercise and the muscle they have built. I need to get busy with the workouts myself!

Today is a DD and it's still early for me but so far so good. I am going to try to keep my cals to 150 even though I can go up to 340. Yesterday on my UD I actually went over my cals by 20 cals.

A quick question for veterans - after the induction period did you still keep your DD cals low or did you boost up to 500 cals? I am thinking that since I am a slow looser and want to get this off before July I will try to stay at the low cals for DD unless that hasn't worked for you all with the great suceess stories.

A big hello to everyone and good thoughts for a great day!

Hi Vicki---so how do you prepare for your run? I ran when I was in college...5 miles every other day and really did it with no problem...now 25 years later, I cant get a quarter of a mile completed without oxygen. I thought the 1/4 of a mile track display on my tread mill was a mile...and thought I was doing ok...then my husband said.."uhhh...that is just a quarter of a mile".I heard of from couch to 5k...or something to that effect...is this something you would do for training?

Great weight loss by the way! I still haven't gotten lower than 500 cals. on dd. I feel like I will pass out. I am very active..I have a farm so picking up throwing 50lbs of hay is nothing for more. but I guess I must work on the endurance part of the equation....and plus the main reason I did it in college was because I kept the fat butt and thighs away. so need those areas gone...so looks like I should start running again.

I have lost 8 pounds in 8 days and am shouting from the rooftops of how easy this WOE is. I am doing my own thing because I have a hard time following rules. T-Th-Sat are my DD's S-W-F are my UD's with a MD on Monday. I still can't believe I can meet my friends out and eat and drink and still lose weight!! This week I am throwing in Kettlebells just to keep the momentum! I'll bet my Dr will be flabbergasted at my weightloss on my next visit. Not bad for someone with the metabolism of a rock. Hi Karen, I am such an on again off again runner but I really want to be an 'on' runner all of the time! The first time I started running, I followed the C25K and I got up to running 4 miles consistently but I hurt my foot and stopped. I lost 10lbs just by running.

Then the next time I signed up for a 5k thinking that would push me to start running again which it did and it was after I had lost 40lbs which made it so much easier and I 'trained' for about 4 weeks by just going out and running and walking when I got tired. I ran 95% of that first 5k. I then signed up for another 5k this past Jan. and did not train at all! I did fine but walked probably 90% of the time so I know I can do a 5k without training however it was not a pleasant experience!

I met a running coach at one of these running expo's, Jeff Galloway...Google his name and you'll find lots of info. I am now planning to use his 5k and then 10k program to work up to the 10k in Aug. His method is using planned walks before you get tired a run/walk/run. Supposed to help to avoid injuries for older/new runners. I've tried it a couple of times and found that it is 'easier' because you know that if you run 2 min. you get to walk 1 min and so on. I just need to get my lazy self out there! Good luck with whatever you choose to do. Maybe we can be virtual running buddies and motivate each other to get out there!

BTW - I grew up on a farm in So. Colorado and never had a weight problem until after my daughter was born and we moved to the city, Denver. I did lose a lot of weight after getting a divorce and being single and a single mom to an almost teenager, then I met Mr. CA and moved to California, happiness eating and I gained a lot of weight. Finally, lost most of it this past year but have been struggling with the last 20lbs.

Hi Kissa!! The only thing I have done is go to the official site for JUDDD and plug in my numbers...I have adhered to the numbers strictly and thats it On my UD I have walked on the treadmill for about 30 mins...drank my water and some diet pop, I did use the 20% numbers with no exercise category... Oh and strict rotations, UD DD UD DD etc no deviation yet...My numbers are 1600 and 380 approximately

Thats why I LOVE JUDDD! I have fallen off the LC wagon so many times...this is so forgiving, and fast for me ...I have wrestled with the last 10 pounds for MONTHS and to have it come off so quick is amazing

Kim, thanks for that, it says it all really. Just like my Siggie say. But you did it and it worked. Brilliant.

Pavewife, another newbie who is rocking JUDDD. You aren't the first to find that an MD is no hassle, I am so pleased it is working for you. 8 lbs is a great loss, well done.

I'm thinking about taking a couple of weeks off from Juddd. I'm not losing this month. I don't know what's going on and I'm mentally exhausted. I'm going to try for 1200/1300 cals per day thru the end of March. I'm going to continue the elliptical and walking. Just need a break.

Thanks for the support ladies! I feel like Im eating a lot of junk on my UD due to having more cals. Although i do enjoy junk, i know i need healthier items too! Having less calories daily will help me look at what im eating more carefully i think.

I feel for you and understand how what you are going through, I went through it last week.

Are you eating different foods on your UDs than you have in the past? My UD's have become a food orgy of all the foods I wasn't eating before - dairy, nuts and fruit. On HCG I discovered I have a allergy to eggs because my weight blew up when I replaced my meat portion with eggs. Allergies will cause inflammation and water weight gain. I haven't eaten eggs since and I avoided yoghurt and nuts as they are main allergens and I didn't want to risk my stabilisation, however I have incorporated them into UD's and am wondering if they could be allergens. Well I know they are because I crave them and that's always an indicator of allergens. I have given up sugar for over a year now and no have cravings for it, but I crave nuts like you have no idea; so I"m sure they are allergens for me.

I did have a break last weekend as well and I'm back on JUDDD but I think I am suffering from diet fatigue in general, kind of getting sick of it all but stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have no choice but to continue. If no better after a month or I continue to space out on UD's, I may have to do another round of HCG to get down to goal and to get my appetite and cravings under control which it seemed to do really well for me.

I'm sorry there are no hard and fast answers, we are all different.
