Marika, You are doing great!! 5 pounds in less than a week!
You are recovering quite nicely and that is huge! Last year after our summer vacation I put on 10 pounds fast and I never got it all back off until my weigh in this morning!
I love coming here, it makes all the difference!

I keep a journal and have noticed a few things I have been doing , and when I stray from it I don't lose..so here they are...

1.i keep my carbs below 20 grams for all foods except for veggies.( I act as if they were "0" carbs). no breads, potatoes, grains, not sweets. I am scared to eat just anything...even though other judders are and still losing.
2. I was keeping my dd @ 500...but I got it below 300 and the weight is coming off. so my goal is to stay at 200....I know it is low but if I don't feel tired or get jitters, I am fine with it. but also I noticed if I don't eat my full cal amounts on an ud I will not lose as easily on a dd. so I eat!
3. I eat only between the time of 2pm to 7pm.i never eat after 7pm unless I haven't ate that day on an ud. works for me because out of the house early and I am back home early.
4. I got real! I mindlessly eat.( you can see on my weigh in I talk about not getting ahold of the weekends...I used the family as an excuse to over eat.). I Didn't put the extra bites here and there, on my cal count...and then cried about not losing weight. I would have a chip here, M&ms there, and a large frapicinoe at least once a week. and would complain the pounds were not coming off. it was hard for me to get honest with myself. still working on it!

I am however very active. it is nothing for me to clock in 10000 steps a day. and with all the farm work I do I must be expending the calories. believe me I have to do the work...I would never ever work out this hard. a blessing I guess. But I was thinking about how much I over ate to put so much weight on while being so active. I'm thinking I must have ate about 4000 cals a day. all junk I am sure.

the greatest thing is..I finally got past my obsessive thinking with food( noticed that 2 weeks ago in my journaling....no more talk of, "I cant get the thought of eating out of my head"). I would think all day about what I would have for dinner...and dream of junk food. I think because spring is coming and I am so much more busier around here, that has a lot to do with lessening my obsessiveness. I have also made it a point to do more things out of the home...when I am not working and it is rainy or too cold outside...I drag my hubby out to do anything else but sit in the house. boredom is my enemy. I try everyday to add some habit or thought to replace food. my eating so much was truly a direct result of me replacing food for what I was not dealing with. I am still working on it though.

hope I don't jinx it...I am thinking about starting a running program...but want to wait till I get below 160...obsessive thinking here...but don't want to cause a stall....if I stall below 160...I can deal with that...

Full disclosure! I started dieting way before January...but couldn't get my act together until recently. been journaling about my weightless "non Progress" since last summer.

sorry so much writing! I guess I like talking about myself. replacing food with it!


good luck with your loss...it is truly a personal and lonely thing to be going through! no one else ever experiences the exact same thing, but it is nice to have other in the boat rowing against the wind with you!

Ha, ha, ha Yeah, if I could come up with something and take it to nashville I would. lol I'm trying to find pictures of when I was 204 to post so I can show my before and afters, but I have so much junk to go through to find them who know's when that will be. I originally started losing in Apr/2011 and got down to where I am now and I bounced up and down, up and down over the past 2 years til I got back up to 164.5 and I thought I had to do something or I'd be right back where I was. That's when I found JUDDD in Feb of this year and soooo glad I did. Yay for JUDDD! And the BUDD's.
