You are right Elise! The fact that I ate calories that low and was so full amazes me! I'm so glad I tried it. I may just keep my DD's with potatoes. I told my hubby last night I wished I would have found out about this WOE years ago, but so glad I have it now.

March goal: keep up with moderate carbs and regular exercise; goal weight 213.7 (-6 from end of Feb. weight of 219.7). Added goal 3/11: weight training 2 DDs a week, some cardio on most UDs, eat all UD calories when exercising. 2036/407

3/1 - DD - 221.3 - hip hop aerobics
3/2 - UD - 220.2
3/3 - DD - 220.2 - weights and 1/2 hr treadmill
3/4 - UD - 219.9
3/5 - DD - 220.5 - glow aerobics - Noticing much smaller bounces since doing the moderate carbs.
3/6 - UD - 219.9 - doing better than I ever have with calories and exercise and the sale is not doing much.
3/7 - DD - 220.5
3/8 - UD - 220.5 - getting annoyed/discouraged, even though I know better. did not count cals.
3/9 - DD - 222.1
3/10 - UD - 220.2
3/11 - DD - 222.1 - More carbs again yesterday. New plan today to hopefully break stall thanks to JB's good advice.
3/12 - UD - 219.1 - at last, a tiny movement downward. It may be only .6 in two weeks, but it's SOMETHING. Glow aerobics.
3/13 - DD - 219.8 - weight training
3/14 - UD - 218.9 - inching downward and thrilled to see any downward movement (especially with new addition of weight training yesterday).
3/15 - UD - 220.5 - Needed Friday to be an up day, so doing two UDs a row. 1 hr walking.
3/16 - DD - 222.5 - Quite a bounce from two UDs in a row. It's OK though.
3/17 - UD - 219.9 - Happy St. Patty's day! 1 hour 20 min nature walk (with short stops)
3/18 - DD - 218.9 - always nice to go down after UD. I think the bounce from the two UDs in a row is coming off.

Soren - no worries! I know you already know that the scale will readjust in a rotation or two ... my two UDs above is a good example, I think.

Sheph, the bounce is normal, you made not need to tweak things just yet. Did you check out 'the daily bounce doesn't rock my world' thread?

I'm right there with ya! Hate it when the stupid scale gives you one of "those" readings.....

Haven't been around to cheer you all on sorry ... See below for reason.

Overnight Sat/Sun the electricity for the whole of our street went off. Most of our water is pumped above the ground floor. So no showers or flushing loo except on the ground floor. No heating again.

Happily we had been invited out for Sunday lunch. Just before we went out I popped down to the cellar, where I found 3 inches of water over the whole floor. Turn off water at mains, so now no water anywhere.

I have neighbours relying on stairlift and electric beds so I guess I shouldn't moan.

The electricity finally came back on at 9.30 in the evening. We'd had candlelit drinks in the bedroom with the neighbour with the stairlift, then went over the the pub...needed to be near working loos. Too much wine and pizza.

We were finally able to turn the water back on this morning. Have had the plumbers here all day with wet/dry vacs and trying to get to the bottom of the water issue. Think they have it traced now to an issue with the central heating system.

So well done if you are happy with the numbers and hugs if the numbers are making you mad.

Just keep on keeping on.

Thanks folks for your support! I sort of feel embarassed that I let myself slip soooooooo much, but I'm going to take it and try to learn from it. I might be back there 1x a month for a while, so I MUST figure this out!

Melanie – new low, at last!!

LCG your bounces follow a similar pattern to mine: I drop to a new low, then bounce around a couple of pounds higher for a few days, then back to the low, then a new drop and repeat the whole process.
So, in my book, you've already nailed 219 and soon that will be the higher number of your bounces.....

3/1 ud ~~~ 168.2
3/2 dd ~~~ 169.4--- off of an up day. did over do cals so not so bad!
3/3 up ~~~ 170.0 ---went over cals yesterday. weekends are hard.
3/4 dd ~~~ 169.6--- stayed right on cals.
3/5 ud ~~~ 169.0---- stayed on cal count!
3/6 dd ~~~ 168.8 --- no bounce…yay!
3/7 ud ~~~ 167.6--- wow! Maybe water weight, but I will take it!
3/8 dd ~~~ 167.6 --- no change coming off of a ud. I stay in cal. Amounts.
3/9 up ~~~ 166.0 --- So happy with this weigh. Been really Been really Diligent on cal. count!
3/10 dd ~~~ 166.6 --- Happy with this little bounce. Stayed right on ud cal count.
3/11/ud ~~~ 166.8 --- hopefully this is going up because it is going to have a big down soon!
3/12 dd ~~~ 166.6 ---- only lost 2 ounces but coming off of an ud…way happy w/that!

5 March 146 lbs (new low this time: Potato hack)
6 March 146 lbs (new low has held)
7 March 145 lbs (low is maintaining)
8 March 146 lbs (goodbye low)
9 March 145.4lbs (welcome but still gut issues)

10 March 144.4lbs (new but artificial low because I was ill during the night)
11 March 144.6lbs (surprised but sodium & water levels will take a while to normalise)
12 March 145lbs (amazed it's not more, I've been drinking water in litres)
13 March 144.2lbs (new low and it follows an UD)
14 March 143.8lbs (new low: day 12 of PH)
15 March 142.8lbs (new low; unwell yesterday/UD; day 13 of PH
16 March 144.2lbs (bounce-probably sodium & water levels stabilising)

17 March 144.4lbs (up bounce holding; completed 14day PH)
18 March 143.8lbs (down a little; yesterday was 15 day PH)
19 March 143.6lbs? (horrible DD; was day 16 PH)

I weighed myself 6x and the scales read 143.8 or 143lbs - so I've gone for a mid-point. Yesterday was my worst-ever DD (approx. 700kcals); no sleep as although I wasn't ill, I experienced painful hind-gut fermentation which made it difficult to settle.

Today isn't shaping up well but I'll whinge about that elsewhere
