I wish I understood what's going on. I'm either stalled, or working out (just started weight training) is causing this. I know I need to be better on my UD's, but I just lose control most of the time. Maybe I need to go back to low-carb with JUDDD, it's a lot easier to control my eating habits that way, but a lot less fun.

I thought about doing that too dee. Then I had a 2 lb loss. I think it would be faster, maybe, with LC, but the reason I am doing this WOE is because I can eat anything! Instead I'm trying to eat less on DDs and see if that makes a difference. Good luck to us!

Thanks,they had me a little worried at 1st but then I noticed everyone else was doing pretty much the same thing.I'm going to have to dig my heels in and deal with slower weight loss unless I want to eat solely LC for the rest of my life-which I dont.

I'm on day 13 of a potato hack. Speaking as someone who used to eat pounds of potato a day (back when I was swimming long distances regularly), I defy most people to eat a bag of potatoes without any fat or sugar

I thought that I adored potatoes and rice and that they would trigger over-eating which is why I've avoided them for years. On the PH, I now realise that I can eat any quantity of them, when served/prepared with fat but without that fat, both potato and rice obliterate my appetite and I currently eat fairly small quantities of both. I've no idea if people adapt the longer that they follow this and start eating a greater quantity

I'll be interested to see how you fare with the potato.

SlowSure, I have potatoes in the fridge that are ready to eat. I plan to be away from home for most of the day, however. I'm wondering if I eat some now if I will get uncontrollable hunger before I can get back home, late this afternoon...I usually wait until after 12 pm to eat?

How much have you lost since starting your hack SlowSure? What is your favorite way of eating them. Mine is baked french fries with sugar free ketchup. I also put a little red pepper and salt on them. Yummy!

I think we may all respond very differently but approx 5oz of cold potato wipes out my appetite - the most I've managed at one time is 200g and I wasn't hungry for several hours.

I can eat more potato if it's hot but nothing like as much as I'm accustomed to. I think we probably all respond quite differently. Would it be possible for you to bring some fat-free stock powder with you and have a mug of broth if you do experience hunger?

Before starting the potato hack, I'd been stuck on 150lbs for 5 weeks, gaining and losing 2.5lbs either side.

2 March I weighed 148.8lbs, as I usually did after my weekday DD/UD sequence, and I would usually have expected to be at 150-151lbs or so on 4 March. So, I started the PH and I'm now 143.8lbs. Now, approx. 5lbs isn't that spectacular relative to some people's losses but that's high-velocity by my standards as I'm usually likely to record a loss of about 1-2lbs in 4 weeks (if I lose at all).

For cold potato, I like vinegar, pepper, salt and fresh dill fronds. I like the sound of your fries for hot - I've been eating my hot potatoes with mustard.

I should also say that I had to add in rice as solely potato gave me a rash after a few days and I'm still experiencing gut issues (which may/not be related to the PH).

Thanks LG, and yes, good luck to us! I agree with you, one of my favorite things about JUDDD is getting to eat everything under the sun. Maybe I just need to learn control on my UD's, if that's possible

Can I jump in??? I'm a new JUDDDer and though I've been lurking, I just decided to join you guys today (at the start of my journey). So today is UD. Coming from a failed Atkins Induction (just couldn't stick with such restricting carbs so much), but since I did it for 4 days, I am mentally prepared if I happen to spike for this reason. So happy to join you guys.

February was awful but I have some new strategies and am determined to get out of the 150's. Goal 149.xx

3/1: DD 157.8
3/2: UD 155.8
3/3: DD 155.8 No bounce. First time I've stuck to my calories in a long time
3/4: UD 155.6 No reward for DD but I was soooo good!
3/5: DD 157.2 Mostly stuck to UD calories again. Will see progress soon maybe Mid month rapidly approaching though.
3/6: UD 155.4 Survived a passable DD with a potluck in the morning, a family trip to arby's, and a friend bringing over gormet cupcakes for us to eat, so all in all a WIN
3/7: DD 157.8 Skipped Breakfast, light lunch, and then dealt badly with some emotional stuff with a friend by falling head first into a huge bag of chocolate trail mix. Trying for a low low DD today
3/8: UD 156.6 Had a pretty non-existant calorie DD except for a few test bites of kid food so hope to see a drop soon.
3/9: DD 157.0 Come on!!!!
3/10: UD 153.8 New LOW!!
3/11: DD 155.8 Back to weight at beginning of month lets hope it sticks

3/15 - DD: 223.0 Again, not bad after an UD.

March weight loss
I lost 6 pounds in Febuary.
Weight last day of Feb.----145.6---- Goal is to maintain now.
Mar.1-----144.0----UD----2nd day on 5:2----Wow!! Such a loss after an UD??
Mar.2-----143.8----UD----3rd day on regular eating. I am amazed!
Mar.3-----145.2----DD----2nd DD on 5:2.........bounce!
Mar.4-----144.4----UD----UUAD
Mar.5-----147.0----UD
Mar.6-----147.0----UD
Mar.7-----147.8----DD----back to JUDDD!! :/
Mar.8-----144.8----UD---- whew!
Mar.9-----DNW----got up too early to weigh! :/

Mar.12----143.2----UD----Day out to travel & dine, celebrating our anniversary

This has been a wacky month for me! I started on maintenance, changed to 5:2, came back to JUDDD & lowered my goal weight! Now, I just need to be still!!!!!
