3/10-PDD 171.4 I knew that was coming..yesturday was my youngest daughters first birthday party enjoyed myself a little to much.. Trying a PDD today

Good luck Melanie. I know there are some JUDDers doing 16:8 fast (fasting 16, eating 8 hrs). I also think it is a good way to transition to Fast 5.

So why not stay here and post with us? I find I am often doing fast 5 although I am officially doing 5:2. Yesterday was an UD and I ate everything between 5 and 7pm.

Ouch. I haven't seen this number for months. 5:2 is not my friend. Both UDs and DDs have been controlled. I expect several pounds of this are bloat from exercise, weekend wine and carbs and stress but I am going back to EOD with today a PDD. Really dejected now - I was so hoping 5:2 would be my answer to get the scale move but not in this direction!

It is so amazing to have the freedom of JUDDD to know I can just get back to rotations and not beat myself up for having a good time.

5 March 146 lbs (new low this time: Potato hack)
6 March 146 lbs (new low has held)
7 March 145 lbs (low is maintaining)
8 March 146 lbs (goodbye low)
9 March 145.4lbs (welcome but still gut issues)

10 March 144.4lbs (new but artificial low because I was ill during the night)
11 March 144.6lbs (surprised but sodium & water levels will take a while to normalise)
12 March 145lbs (amazed it's not more, I've been drinking water in litres)

I'm surprised that I don't weigh more than 145lbs as I'm still replenishing my fluids from being unwell. I also wondered if some of the weight loss had been glycogen and water and if I were starting to add that back (time will tell).

It's an UD today so I'm making a determined effort to eat more calories/potato.

So much great news today on this board Great drop for motivated I see and Adi you are really working maintenance and lots more dropping or keeping our awesome new weights.

February was awful but I have some new strategies and am determined to get out of the 150's. Goal 149.xx

3/1: DD 157.8
3/2: UD 155.8
3/3: DD 155.8 No bounce. First time I've stuck to my calories in a long time
3/4: UD 155.6 No reward for DD but I was soooo good!
3/5: DD 157.2 Mostly stuck to UD calories again. Will see progress soon maybe Mid month rapidly approaching though.
3/6: UD 155.4 Survived a passable DD with a potluck in the morning, a family trip to arby's, and a friend bringing over gormet cupcakes for us to eat, so all in all a WIN
3/7: DD 157.8 Skipped Breakfast, light lunch, and then dealt badly with some emotional stuff with a friend by falling head first into a huge bag of chocolate trail mix. Trying for a low low DD today
3/8: UD 156.6 Had a pretty non-existant calorie DD except for a few test bites of kid food so hope to see a drop soon.
3/9: DD 157.0 Come on!!!!
3/10: UD 153.8 New LOW!!
3/11: DD 155.8 Back to weight at beginning of month lets hope it sticks
3/12: UD 152.2 I'm a potato believer!! 500 calorie DD and 3 lb loss

Good luck Melanie. I use Fast5 principles for successful DDs, though not for UDs. I hope it's the key to your success. You can Fast5 with JUDDD, so no need to leave us!

Shepheka. I find it's good to track daily because it's easier to see overall progress and patterns. Just don't let the daily bounce bother you!

I gained four pounds trying out 5:2 and for some reason those four pounds were the hardest pounds to lose in my journey. They just did not want to go away. Definitely more than water weight for sure. But sticking strictly with JUDDD I have finally ditched them and maintaining again. Guess I am an EOD gal forever.

3/8: UD 156.6 Had a pretty non-existant calorie DD except for a few test bites of kid food so hope to see a drop soon.
3/9: DD 157.0 Come on!!!!
3/10: UD 153.8 New LOW!!
3/11: DD 155.8 Back to weight at beginning of month lets hope it sticks
3/12: UD 152.2 I'm a potato believer!! 500 calorie DD and 3 lb loss

Yesterday turned into more of a MD - first time in forever I have tanked a DD but I felt sick and shaky and really needed to eat. Hormones? Haven't had TOM in about 3 mos but could be coming on again based on the symptoms. Hopefully that might explain the weight gain too???

I ended February @ 170.8 (I think), after doing a 3 day PH. Then I went to Portland, and really didn't measure or weigh (food and myself)
Starting with a DD today, and maybe if I go through 2 full weeks of rotations I will try the PH again. It was easy, and filling...and, I saw weight loss....I just hope it stays next time (if I end it with starting good rotations )

3/6 DD 172.0
3/7 UD 170.2 sick with a cold, but will eat my UD #'s
3/8 DD DNW still sick
3/9 UD 169.0 feeling a little better
3/10 DD 168.2
3/11 UD 168.8

3/1 ~ DNW ~ Power house workout cancelled due to son being sick
3/2 ~ DNW ~ Hubby's birthday and I was a very naughty girl, but what else is new?!
3/3 ~ DNW
3/4 ~ DNW ~ DD ~ Total Body workout
3/5 ~ 192.2 ~ UD ~ Went to a mother/son bowling event and unfortunately got into the cookies...
3/6 ~ 194.2 ~ DD ~ Cookies biting me in the butt... Total Body workout plus 1 mile jog on treadmill.... great dd!
3/7 ~ 192.2 ~ UD ~ Man, I was hoping that would be down a little more than that! Cardio boot camp workout
3/8 ~ 195.2 ~ DD ~ What a hateful weigh in the am! Hoping that's due to sore muscles and a late high sodium dinner.... Powerhouse workout
3/9 ~ 192.6 ~ UD ~ Why am I going the wrong way? I should be dropping under 190 by now? I checked to see if I'm in ketosis yet and I had a faint positive.
3/10 ~ 191.6 ~ DD ~ Well, maybe I'm going in the right direction now... Not a good DD, got into some Doritos and sour gummy worms..

Switching to Low carb Fast 5 with an average eating window of 4-9pm!

3/11 ~ 192.2 ~ Total Body workout.
3/12 ~ 191.6 ~ Cardio Boot Camp scheduled


I so wish I'd quit sabotaging myself everytime I get myself down into the 180's! Not sure what my goal will be this month... Let's see how long it takes me to get back to 187?!

March goal: keep up with moderate carbs and regular exercise; goal weight 213.7 (-6 from end of Feb. weight of 219.7). Added goal 3/11: weight training 2 DDs a week, some cardio on most UDs, eat all UD calories when exercising.

3/1 - DD - 221.3 - hip hop aerobics
3/2 - UD - 220.2
3/3 - DD - 220.2 - weights and 1/2 hr treadmill
3/4 - UD - 219.9
3/5 - DD - 220.5 - glow aerobics - Noticing much smaller bounces since doing the moderate carbs.
3/6 - UD - 219.9 - doing better than I ever have with calories and exercise and the sale is not doing much.
3/7 - DD - 220.5
3/8 - UD - 220.5 - getting annoyed/discouraged, even though I know better. did not count cals.
3/9 - DD - 222.1
