L: Small Wendy's chili w/TJ's Habanero hot sauce (210)

sorenkkg 02-26-2013 06:44 AM

I'm in!
Dawn, you're up early!
B: x
L: v8 (70)
Snack: soup (70)
D: salad, double serving yogurt with jam and honey.
454 as planned

Flutter 02-26-2013 07:41 AM

Ughhhhh 3rd DD here. :( test is this evening and I will be SO happy to have that over with!

B: just coffee
1 liter of icky prep stuff
I will be having a late dinner!! (unless I'm sick from the anesthesia)

LoCarbGal 02-26-2013 07:45 AM

Flutter, I hope all goes well today with the test, and you're back to normal tomorrow!

I have to have a good DD today. Yesterday's UD, while not horrible, was about 500 calories over. I've gotten into a bad habit of wanting a sweet late in the evening, and having it. Gotta stop that!

B: Coffee w/Coffee-mate vanilla caramel creamer
L: Coffee w/Coffee-mate vanilla caramel creamer (or HWC if I need it)
D: 4 HB eggs

sorenkkg 02-26-2013 08:59 AM

LCG, I did the same thing... instead of my (planned) yogurt, I decided to "get the tartlets out of the house" by eating them :p

only have 4 left, which means only 2 each for me and DH tomorrow, phew.

Meanwhile, rocking the lemon water and fingers crossed!

LoCarbGal 02-26-2013 09:21 AM

Well, I'm glad I'm not alone, but I hate to take you down with me, Soren! ;)

I think I may be having some mild diet fatigue lately. Not horrible. I'm still so pleased with my results, and I know what I have to do to have those good results. Just kinda don't want to some days. I'm afraid to take a maintenance break at this point, even though it might really help. It's important to me to keep losing so I can look at least decent when the temperatures heat up and the clothing gets......well, less. And that happens early here in AZ, like April/May.

I need to just realize that I've been dieting seriously for about 13 months straight, and it's normal to start chafing under the restrictions a little. But the price of stopping is no more losing, and likely gaining. Not an option. Thanks to you guys, I'm pretty sure I can stay the course.

Flutter 02-26-2013 09:28 AM

Do whatever will help you keep going long term, LCG! I always get diet fatigue around the 7-8 month mark and give in. If taking a maintenance break helps you prevent that, it's still a "win" in the long run. KWIM? It's way better than NOT taking one and regaining everything again. Maybe you can just have it in the back of your mind to do if needed. You can do this!!!

<<<waving>>> Hey Soren!

LoCarbGal 02-26-2013 09:34 AM

Thank you Flutter! I know you guys are with me, and behind me, and that means so much. Every day! I think you're right, having a maintenance break in my back pocket is comforting. I'd like to get closer to goal before taking one, but hey, if I NEED it, I'll definitely do that before quitting!

Demonica 02-26-2013 09:47 AM

B- BP coffee
L- coffee with creamer
S- possibly a big chicken salad. Been eating them like crazy the last few days

But trying to make today as close to a fast as possible.

sorenkkg 02-26-2013 10:25 AM

Hi gang! :hiya:

LCG-- I hear ya. From what I've seen, a lot of the folks here who are on maintenance do sometimes still lose a bit... maybe take 2 weeks and see?

Another way to go, Steph does this and I do it too (though not exactly weekly) is to maybe say, 1 up day a week will be no count. Not permission to go waaay over the wall, but just, eat what you like and don't count.

That might help you feel less chafed? I find it helps me... I don't do it X times per week, but when I sometimes have an up day and I don't log everything, I'm ok with it.

Hi Melinda! :hiya: :D

btw-- on track food-wise today. Lemon water and now my V8 have been had. I can take my vitamins too.

I also filled 3 plastic compost bags with shredded documents (going back to 2005).

Now, if only I could get some WORK done

LoCarbGal 02-26-2013 10:32 AM

Great idea Soren! Thanks for that. I'm not quite ready to call a maintenance break, but the 1 UD per week of not counting sounds really appealing. I love how our JBs can add fresh perspective, and you guys have done it!

I posted to my December motivation and landmarks posting, and it helped me too. Onward!

hot-in-texas 02-26-2013 02:26 PM

LCG, 13 months is long time, hang in there girl!! I Like Soren's 1 day no count UD, seems like that would be great. The mental fatigue on counting every day can be taxing as well! You have done so great and we are proud that you are our JUDDD BUDD!

Flutter, glad you are getting that test over and done with today! Hope everything goes great, and quickly!:hugs:

sorenkkg 02-26-2013 04:00 PM

Oh Flutter :hugs: You've been so brave! I'd be a total baby about the whole thing

How did it go? And how zoo'd were you after? :stars:
and what did you eat?

JMBM 02-26-2013 04:58 PM

Late post but i'm down dayin. Went all day with "0" holding out for dinner and my dinner was yuck! I should've just found some soup or something else I liked but since I went to the trouble felt like I had to eat it. Plus salmon is expensive and hated to waste it. Was looking forward to food and just kinda disappointed it didn't taste worth a toot.:annoyed: The whole problem is as I cooked I realized I had no salt. The green beans were bla and so was the cabbage. But I had a sister shubert roll with the salmon and vegetables so not a total loss.

Total thus far is 335. Idk if I'll make it to bed without some greek yogurt.:yummy:

I had the miso and added gluc, but I added a little more than I needed. It turned into miso gravy. I still ate it.

Flutter 02-26-2013 06:54 PM

I am back!!! So glad that's behind me! ;) <snort> 5 more years for the next one...2 more weeks before my upper scope, though. Oh well, no icky prep to drink for that anyways! :) thanks for asking girls! Soren, I wasn't too loopy afterwards. Very happy they gave me some zofran along with the anesthesia because I get nauseated after the scopes are over. We are having a snow storm tonight, too, so I just had DH take me to the Arby's next door to the doc's and grabbed a plain roast beef sandwich. Came home and had a small piece of chocolate cake. After all that, I think I am about 700 cals for the day. Oh well!

sorenkkg 02-26-2013 09:19 PM

No worries on cals today Mel! :hugs: when do you get results?

LoCarbGal 02-26-2013 09:36 PM

So glad that's over for you Melinda! Now hoping for good results, and an enjoyable 2 weeks between tests.

Flutter 02-27-2013 06:10 AM

Got pictures in the recovery room! Doc said everything looked great this time. No polyps to even biopsy! Yay!!! Crossing my fingers for my upper now. I have Barrett's esophagus, so hoping things are still ok in there. Thanks for asking Soren & LCG!

So, um, what does Barrett use to swallow?
:hyst::hyst::hyst:

G'night folks, I'll be here all week! Don't forget to tip your waitress!

ETA: hope I didn't offend... I know GERD and Barrett's are serious conditions.

You are a goofball girlfriend! :p No offense taken here, though. You gotta laugh at yourself! (better than crying!)

sorenkkg 02-27-2013 01:10 PM

Phew!
I believe the same thing ;) There's a lot of laughter around here :D

Flutter 02-27-2013 02:29 PM

Never ever worry about offending moi, it's pretty hard to do! I try to always believe people have nothing but the best intentions anyways. :) XOXO
