UD Saturday- people are strange, scales are stranger

Ugh... Almost no loss after yesterday's very good dd. :annoyed:

Ok, well, onward and downward.

Today is tricky- going for dinner and don't know what the chef will be making of us. So I want to keep cals low until dinner.

B: 2 eggs, 1 lc English muffin , sf jam, 3 pcs bacon
About 470 cals

L: salad?

D: will report back, and likely post pics to FB :)

Have a great day ya'll!
S.

LoCarbGal 02-23-2013 08:46 AM

More Doors! I LOVE IT!

I was up a pound after DD yesterday, so I feel ya Soren. But onward. It'll go back down.

B: Coffee w/HWC, salami (I know, I'm weird)
L: no idea - baked potato maybe
D: Homemade chicken noodle soup, biscuits (not so much homemade) with butter
D: chocolate for sure

sorenkkg 02-23-2013 08:48 AM

LCG -- I figured, why not :) I'm not a huuuuge Doors fan, so not sure how long I can keep it up... but I see themed posts for us in the future

how do we go up after a DD? :annoyed: seriously? I refused to accept the scale number, and moved it around, and weighed 3 times till I got the same number 2x. Harumph.

I was thinking, maybe it's a delayed reaction to the carbs I did have on the UD before? :stars: trying to reason it out is giving me a headache :p

Whitlin' 02-23-2013 08:48 AM

Hi again, Soren and LoCasrbGal - medium day for me, so 1,300 calories or so. (Maintenance)

You did have a little dip the other day, Soren, so you can still bask in that glory!

I had both a serving of blueberries and a serving of cherries for breakfast, plus protein powder in coconut milk. So I'm good so far for my fresh eating.
195 calories.

A big "yes" to a salad for me, too, to keep adding to my fresh count. I'll add avocado. Have cucumber to cut into it. Looks like 130 calories with a touch of vinaigrette. Will add a half-sandwich of tuna salad on Ezekial bread, about 130 calories, for a big lunch of 260 calories.

Snack will likely be the other half of the sandwich, unless someone else wants it - 130 calories.

Supper? Gee, I am never ready for that question! :o Will have my dd with me today, so I'll ask her. I do know I'll have 500 calories for it and maybe a mini dessert under 200 calories an hour later.

sorenkkg 02-23-2013 08:50 AM

:hiya: Whitlin! Looks like a good MD for you-- are you getting ready for a rotation switch b/c of something fun coming up?

Whitlin' 02-23-2013 08:56 AM

I've always been a M,W,F DD gal, Soren. It's worked out fine for me. Saturday is medium, Sunday up. It used to be partly for the work schedule, but really it's because it worked better for the rest of the family to know "where" I was without thinking it out, and on weekends when schools out, also just less for them to plan around.

jaymar 02-23-2013 09:00 AM

Oh those bounces....I'm up a lb after an upday....so today is dd and I'm going to try only safe starches..potatoes..a little gluten free pasta..hope to go back down.:) ..but I'm happy because it does keep trending down..I'm not where I was three months ago, by 25 lbs..so..I'm happy..:D

hot-in-texas 02-23-2013 09:12 AM

Breakfast-small old fashioned donut, 3 donut holes, black coffee-300
With 2 orange sections-10
Lunch-dunno?
Dinner dunno?

I'm seeing themed posts in the future too lol

JMBM 02-23-2013 09:20 AM

B- 1 egg 4 sl turkey bacon = 170
Snack- 3 LC peanut butter cookies and 1 cup almond milk = 285
L - Not sure
D - Not sure

But I'm down almost 2 lbs. in 5 days!:jumpjoy: Totally will not weigh the morning after a UD though. Plus, mother nature showed up and I usually have an increase on the scales with that and I had a loss instead so I wonder once my cycle is finished if I'll drop a little more?

hot-in-texas 02-23-2013 09:25 AM

Yay JM! The scale isn't rude or anything to me during my TOM. It seems that it moves the most, for me, the week before, and then goes slowly the week after. But that is just what I have seen after tracking 1 month. I think that is why tracking every day will help in the beginning, so we can see what our body does. Plus, I am sure it is different for everyone. Congratulations, you are almost done with your first week!:high5:

LoCarbGal 02-23-2013 09:30 AM

:jumpjoy: JMBM! Fantastic results for week 1 (almost!)! You're on your way!

Lunch-berry smoothie made with dannon lite and fit yogurt, almond milk, mixed berries and then I mixed in 2 tablespoons of full fat, full sugar, full dairy homemade whipped cream-approx 350 calories.
I am at 660 so far.

sorenkkg 02-23-2013 12:39 PM

Ok, I said I'd track everything ... We went on errands and food shopping, and went into a Portuguese bakery I've never tried. :o
Came out with ham and cheese croissant (baked into it), ricotta croissant, an assortment of tartlets (haven't tasted yet...), and a loaf of corn bread (not like southern cornbread... This is a dense, white, crusty loaf).

I had half of each croissant and a big slice of the bread... Haven't had this for 10+ yrs!

Um...no salad :p

tobelowcarber 02-23-2013 01:01 PM

I was up after yesterday's DD, so you ladies are not alone. It will come down again :)

B: 6 oz lamb burger 288 cal
L: egg salad on oopsie rolls 814 cal
D: rabbit stew, batternut squash, sautéed spinach around 600-700 cal
around 1700-1800 cal/

That food sounds soooo good!!

Carly 02-23-2013 02:02 PM

B- X

L- chicken quesadilla with a little guac and sourcream :yummy:

D- Don't know

I'm drinking lemon water now, but will make a cup of the banana dream pie tea soon.

I was almost always up after a DD. Oddly enough I was usually at a low before dinner on UD. My scale is very rude leading up to TOM, but I always lost well after it came and for about the next 10 days.

Add to this a ham and cheese open face sandwich(your food sounded so good Siren, I had to go get some ham and cheese!)-280
940. Leaves me approx 800 more:-)

No worries, I've come to just assume that's me :)

Deleting double post

JMBM 02-23-2013 05:39 PM

Ok so I'm now at 1275 for the day. Really thought I ate more than that, but I've gone over every time I have eaten and that's all the calories I've consumed. Almost, don't want to have anything else in case I forgot something.:p

hot-in-texas 02-23-2013 06:13 PM

JM, in have done that before and then realized I left off a whole meal:eek:
Ended the day w/ Taco Bell fresco soft chicken taco and black beans and rice. It was very very good for not many calories.

sorenkkg 02-23-2013 10:47 PM

I sort of ate my face off at dinner that the chef cooks off menu for us, though it was lighter than expected.
Looking forward to good dds this week.

KeirasMom 02-24-2013 06:37 AM

Just realized I never made it to this post yesterday.

B: Panera power breakfast sandwich, coffee
L: Banh Mi, at a new place; it felt richer, so I considered it 100 calories more than my normal banh mi.
Went to a jewelry party and snacked: cheese, crackers, almonds, pinwheels, strawberries (just a little of each), oh yeah, and a mini quiche --totally estimated calories
D: Red snapper in butter, green beans
S: Wine, Jello Decadence dark chocolate mousse

I was right at my calories by this point, as closely as I could estimate, but then I fell into a bag of pistachios.

I'm thinking 1936 calories for the day, almost 200 over my allotment.

Maintenance really is hard. I can't seem to be as vigilant as I was in WLM. So far it's working out okay weight-wise, but it's sort of stressful.

tobelowcarber 02-24-2013 08:29 AM

Confession time: after yesterday's dinner I ate over 1500 cal worth of yummy walnuts/honey/blueberries shakes. Scale is up 2 lb this morning

sorenkkg 02-24-2013 09:09 AM

I didn't weigh today ;)

That sounds like quite a treat! The only thing that would have made it better is chocolate:)

jaymar 02-25-2013 09:27 AM

Dawn...you fell into a bag of pistachios?..haha:hyst: that made me laugh.
