Happy Valentine's

day to all!

I got an Orchid plant brought to me thus far. He even stated they SWORE it was really hearty and should bloom a long long time! I certainly hope so, it is gorgeous!

DH and I dont ususally do any thing for Vday.

But we have decided to do dinner out at the Out back Steak house on Saturday.. Dont want to fight the crowds

What a pretty present! I hope it lives a long long time!

I don't know that specific flower, but I worked in a flower shop and I was *amazed* at how resilient and strong orchids in general are. Even when you cut it and make a corsage, it lasts several days. I always thought they were super-fragile.

Zipp-it's a phalaenopsis orchid. They are surprisingly easy to care for. Google will pull up all you need to know for care

I've had a wonderful and indulgent Vday. We had all kinds of food at work, which I grazed on ALL day. Then I came home and gave bf his card and gift, and he gave me mine.

He bought me some tiny gold hoop earrings that are lovely, and a very sweet card. For some reason, he had it in a little christmas gift bag.

I hope everyone had/or is having a great day!

This morning we exchanged gifts and cards. DW went to Pandora and bought me my goal charm which I had picked out almost exactly a year ago

Tonight we went to our favorite Indian restaurant and now laying in bed.

I wrapped my DH's gifts in christmas wrapping paper too. I had them delivered to work and that's all I had here!

Love everyone's gifts. The orchid is so pretty!

My house was as clean as Dear Hub can do. I forget that he isn't as thorough, but it was nice to have a week of "no cleaning". He had a lovely box of Lake Champlain's Dk Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels for me. Heaven! I could have enjoyed the whole box in one sitting.

We are doing dinner tonight at our fav restaurant. I told him that we must get there early, because I am certain others are doing the same.

Oh the Christmas paper is his thing also. All year I receive Christmas bag gifts.

Last night we finally went out for our V-day dinner! It was worth the wait. We found a little French bistro type place that was very cozy with dim lighting. They had a prix fixe menu so we went with that. The price was very good but the portions were much smaller than most places. No wonder French people are so thin!! It was really good though and I left without being stuffed. The slice of cheesecake I got was about 1/4 the size you'd get at a diner but it came with berries and was really yummy. I would defintely go there again. After an UD yesterday I actually lost this morning. Maybe I should go there every UD for dinner LOLOL

I actually tried a french diet for awhile with my family. We had wine every night for dinner(I even let my 16 year old partake ) And we had the courses like the French, with cheese and fruit after the mea, and always frsh baguette with the meal. I started to make Croque monsieur for our lunch daily, and we got to try many different wines, which i have really never done before. I also got to try many different cheeses. It was very nice, but too expensive to keep up.

LCG, I was not weighing at the time, I had given up all hope of losing weight(It was about a year ago that we did the French thing) so , I don't know. I think I probably did a little though. It was fabulous! We did it for about a month, but not every single day as it was very expenive. each dinner was at least $25.(with the bottle of wine and everything) I think if I could eat that way all the time, I probably would lose because it is so very satisfying, especially with JUDDD and portion size is smaller than what we (or at least I) am used to.
