So far an egg and 10 cal drink.

Can't decide if I'll stick to eggs or have a potato. Or maybe both?

jaymar, I need to find out the calories for a 3 oz potato. It is uncooked, and I plan to cook it in the microwave. Will it be less calories after cooking? I have found anywhere from 60 cals to 78 and up for 3 oz.

sorry you're feeling blah Jay Lynn
I already caved on my liquid fast. Kids were stressing me out, so I went ahead and had a 45 calorie Hebrew hot dog and saurkraut-55 calories.

Aw thanks Cindy I think life has its ups and downs for all of us. I'm usually pretty stress free but when I'm stressed I'm really stressed.

Well I went for a baked potato with some arabiata sauce made for DH's pasta.

I had one piece of his mango too.

That's okay, Sher, I love those lower cal hot dogs! I (strangely) have been known to get severe hot dog cravings, so they're perfect

Since I did not make it through a liquid fast today, and have had 175 calories so far, I think I will go ahead and have an egg, 2 slices of center cut bacon, and 1/4 of a large orange tonight

WOE: A.I. 1/1-1/20; JUDDD 1/21/13, Potatoes as needed
Coffee w vanilla SF flavor & a splash of skim milk. (19 cals)
35 cals worth of carrots.
Lots of tea & water.
Have some bone broth @ home if I can make it another few hours. Broth & a batch of roasted veggies left over from yesterday. The whole batch is about 300 so I'd be ok even if I ate the whole thing. Which so I'm gonna try not to do.
Had a weird UD yesterday. Really did not wanna eat after 3pm but was only at 1300 so needed to finish out the day. Didn't want to and felt kinda icky for having forced myself. Today is weird too. Just weird.

I think I've found the holy grail of DD food. I have a pot of cabbage soup cooking, and the total calories for the entire pot are 292. I know that I could not possibly eat the entire pot for dinner, well I won't. This will be my go-to meal for DD from now on!!! The recipe if anyone is interested is:

4 cups of cabbage, chopped
4 T chopped onion
1 can of diced tomatoes (15 oz)
1 3 oz potato (or whatever amounts to 3 oz, I had a small potato that equaled that)
2-3 cups water
1 T boullion, or chicken broth/bone broth/stock to equal 15 calories

Pour it all in a pot and bring to a boil, simmer until done to your liking. Add seasonings to taste. 4 generous servings, or 6 moderate. @ 4 servings, 73 calories; 6 servings, 49 cals.

ETA: I have not dished it up to figure out the correct servings. The above is an estimate. It could come to more than 6 servings!

Cindy - that recipe looks amazing! I love cabbage soup, I could completely get behind this recipe. I bet it will freeze well, yeah?
I wonder if you could do a can of Rotel (the tomatoes with the peppers) for a little added kick?
Tomorrow's an UD (duh) but I think I might try to pick up the stuff for this after the peanut's swim lessons and partake on Wednesday.
Thanks for sharing!!!

I hear you on the stress -- it was likely the only reason I went on maintenance. I don't multitask that well! Now that a huge portion of my stress is lowered, my focus on JUDDD has been incredibly easy.

Finally managed a proper DD on Saturday, looks like I'm on track again today.

Tea all day (9-ish)
3 rice cakes (105) + 3 light laughing cows (105)

Cals so far: 219

Will probably have some soup before bed, max 200 cals.

Yes, I think the rotel tomatoes w/chilis would be a good choice. I doubt they are any more caloric. It turned out to be 4 2-cup servings. I have two servings left, for tomorrow. It also turned out to be quite bland in spite of all my seasonings. However, it filled me up and was nutritious, which was the plan! Some bacon would really make it more palatable...1 or 2 pieces of Gualtney reduced fat bacon would only add 20-40 calories.

I'm gonna try that recipe with the bacon. I might add a little cajun seasoning, as I think that would be good. I love me some Tony Cachere's
