Yennie I hope you start feeling better and back to running soon. I know when I was a runner I needed to do it for my sanity more than anything else. It was a great coping skill that was effective and I enjoyed.

The mass in DW's breast is benign, but doc is worried now about the fluid around it. So DW needs a second opion with a surgeon. Ugh, just when we thought everything was good. I still feel positive and I'd like her to have the mass removed since it's getting bigger and could become malignant in the future. We will keep on keeping on...

Sorry to hear that Carly. It waould be good to get rid of it although surgery is always stressful

Sorry you have to abandon you plans too Yennie. But it is the wise option. Hope the treadmill proves useful. In my home it would end up as a clothes horse...

It is a grey day, I hate those. I did get to the gym this morning so that was 3 times this week which I haven't managed for ages. Then I came home and tried to clean and tidy my house. But with onging building works it is soul destroying. TGIF.

Carly, so sorry to hear about the new scare. I am glad the physician was diligent enough though to look for anything that could even be remotely concerning. I hope everything turns out ok, and is not too painful for her

I too like to run! But I can't anymore.
I switched out running to aqua sizing.
But that was after a long time of healing my knees.
The first time I got into the pool with the float belt. It was love!
It held me up right, it was like walking in air.
I started out way behind of every one else in the class.
Now I'm only 3/4 behind! After three weeks, 6 classes. I now I'm doing much better with knees. Not normal but I m very happy with how well it's done for me. I get to move without near the pain.
Yes I miss the land running but now I look forward to the water. It's an Olympic size pool.
Which helps. A friend is going with me, she has asthma. She's had one incident where we scrambled to get her inhaler or her... It was scary! But now everyone watches her. She love the water a well. Sorry I blabbered on.
Wanted to say I found substitute for my love/need to run.
I'm ok with it!

Thanks ladies. DW has a tentative appointment for 3/1/13, but the surgeon may move it up when he gets the reports. Right now we are just bracing for this blizzard. It's really bad out. The roads are terrible and it's only suppose to get worse as the evening progresses.

Thanks gals. First run inside will be tonight so we will see how it goes. Today is a DD so I'm hoping for 1-2 miles if I can make it. Trying to make it through the day on just lemon water, tea & coffee so I can eat tonight after the run to recover.
Carly - I am so sorry to hear that the "all clear" is now conditional. You guys will be in my thoughts. But better out than in, as we sometimes say on our business

Update: 2 miles on the treadmill - CHECK! Took 2 hits off my inhaler (or, as it's affectionately called in my house, the crack pipe. We have a bit of a warped sense of humor in our abode.) Ran the 2 without any chest pain or coughing and still feeling good post-run. Since I was able to pull this off, Hubby ok'ed signing up for the August race. That was the deal. I live through 2 miles tonight, inside, and I get to sign up for it.
Very pleased.
Now off to bed, my last day of working alone is tomorrow. My boss (who, consequently, is also my dad) has been out of the country since last Thursday. So my normal 3 day work week has turned into 9 days in a row and its exhausting. I will be so, so happy to have him back, (and so will my son, who misses "Ampa") even though it means Monday will be insanity due to all the people who will be coming in because they were waiting for him to get back.

Good morning, JB's. I woke up this morning with a pain in my back, seems to be around my right shoulder blade or just below. It hurts to breathe deeply, but otherwise just moving around, no pain. I did not feel it at all last night. Seems to be something new this morning. Any idea what it might be? Could I have slept wrong somehow? It's like a fractured rib feeling, maybe, although I've never had one, lol.

Probably what Cindy Lou said, or it could just be the way you slept. Maybe take some ibuprofen and a warm bath, and take it easy today

Cindy, I hope you are feeling better. I'm sure the warm/ hot bath couldn't hurt, but if it gets worse you should probably see a doctor.

I went to bed sober, but if it reminded me of long ago drunk nights where I'd wake up with inexplicable bruises/pain. If I didn't know better I'd think I had slammed up against something or fallen. I am feeling better as the day goes on though...off to do some flea market bargaining, and maybe the golf course later. it's a gorgeous sunny day in S.C.

Well, I sleepwalk, so this is common for me, but if this is unusual for you and doesn't ease up just make sure it's not something serious.

I read Dr. Mercola's blog today about aspartame and I decided today was the day to get off Diet Coke. I had already had one but I drank water for the rest of the day. I am sure I will have a headache tomorrow but so far I am good. I would love to have one right now and I have a frig full but I am going to have chamomile tea instead and go to bed since I am tired. My 12 bottle baby goats are wearing me out. All they want to do is eat and they are loud. Wish me luck.

Adi, I've tried not drinking my diet coke; but, the best I've managed to do is to do caffeine free! I've tried the splenda sweetened soda's & yuk!! I like splenda or stevia in my coffee tho! Go figure!?! I keep crystal light here, tea & water. But, coke is my "go to" drink & has been for years. I had a really hard time going from sugared cokes to sugar free. But, studies show I may have gone from the frying pan into the fire, huh?

I know your babies are a handful! But, they are so cute. I didn't tell you that when your goats were kidding, we had one born with all of it's intestines on it's outside. I cried!! She could not be saved & that always hurts. But, when you raise any animal, you have to take the good with the bad. These baby chicks are keeping me hopping the bigger they get! The bigger they are the messier they get! lol!!
