Goal for February is to have high bounce after UD 119 or lower.
1-31-UD(1594)....120.4

01-DD(434).........120.4
02-UD(1653).......119.8
03-DD(660).........121.0 too high on calories
04-UD(1757).......120.0
05-DD(480).........121.8 WAY too much salt yesterday
06-UD(1550).......120.8
07-DD(???)..........121.4
Seems I've gained a pound since January, unless it's water which I doubt...

Berta, I lost consistently to goal with 500-600 calorie down days, with just a few in the 400 calorie range thrown in. That is 30-35% for me. Everyone is going to be different though.

January was a slow month...looking forward to a fabulous February! Goal: 218, exercise 5 days a week and reduce carbs.

2/1 - 227 - MD (Don't like to use an MD, but Superbowl just can't be a DD) - hip hop aerobics
2/2 - 224.9 - DD - 1 hour walk (with short stops to take photos and take in the views!)
2/3 - 223.4 - UD - That makes 50 pounds evicted!
2/4 - 225.1 - DD
2/5 - 223.3 - UD - glow aerobics
2/6 - 225.0 - DD - cardio kickboxing
2/7 - 223.5 - UD

Each of us has to find what works for ourselves. I may stop weighing everyday too.I just got in that habit from RXHCGCongratulations on your losses too

That is where I got the numbers I'm using. But I don't know if we have to reduce our numbers or add more after the induction phase?
Here is what the calculator gave me 35% UD 2399 DD 840/ 30% UD 2399 DD 720 /25% UD 2256 DD 564/ 20% UD 2070 DD 414.
Are these numbers what we use after the induction? I am so sorry for the questions. But I guess I'm a bit slow to understand I apologize. Also the calculator seems to give me a different number every time
I am 5f 4in 64yrs old till August

As I told Cindy that is what I am wondering and I am so math illiterate I don't know how to figure it by the %.
And I need to have Fridays and Sundays as UD. But if I had more calories on those day I could do the alternate days easily instead of doing an in between day like the book says you can do.
I don't want to lower my numbers as I loose because I think that would be very hard to do.I may be wrong but JUDDD is a whole new ball game to me.Sorry if I ask to many questions.I was like that trying to learn HCG too.But I finally got it

Hi Berta!! You have done really well so far!! As you lose weight, your calories will go down. I always go to the JUDDD calculator and play around by putting in different weight to see what my calories will go to when I lose a little more. I think a lot of people just stay at the 20% for DDs while they're losing, and then raise the weight loss percentage after they are comfortable with their weight. At the same time, if you are having a particularly hungry DD, you can look at the calculator again to see what say 25, 30 or 35% would be and go with that weight loss percentage for that particular day. JUDDD is not rigid at all, you can change it up as you see fit. The first 2 weeks should stay under 500 calories and that is the most rigid part.
Currently my UDs are 1809 and my DDs are 340, but they started out more than that because i weighed a little more. I still use the 20% weight loss mode, however.

WOW, now if this was only really, sustainable and guarenteed not to be water weight that will creep back in, I would be one happy camper .

In 4 days, 4.7 lbs gone!!!! Being under the weather and only able to drink G2's, eat jello and ice cream seems to agree with the program .

However, please someone take this flu virus off my hands, I want to workout again and eat a salad.

Wow, some good results this week JBs!
Great new lows, lovely newbies and just wonderful to see people who felt stuck starting to move again. Yay!!

Ended Jan @ 130
Goal for Feb = 126

01/02 - U - 130.8
02-04 - U - DNW
04/02 - D - 133.8
05/02 - U - 131.6
06/02 - U - 131.8
07/02 - ? - 133

I guess it proves 2 things:
a) I'm not ready for maintenance at this weight
b) 5:2 wouldn't work for me!

Looking forward to being able to do normal rotations again!

I started on January 12th with my first DD.

January - lost 6.5 in 3 weeks
Goal for Feb - get down to 190
20% = 1985/397

2-1 - DD - 197
2-2 - UD - 195
2-3 - DD - 196
2-4 - UD - 196
2-5 - DD - 196
2-6 - UD - 196.5
2-7 - DD - 196

I've done 500-600 cal DD the first month. Going to shoot for less than 500 starting Saturday!

Sounds like it is time to look at the numbers on the Dr's site. You may not need to drop all the way, but it is good to have his numbers in mind, whether 20% or 40% WLM.

You can refigure at 35%, but the first 2 weeks should stay 500 calories or less on the DDs. After that you should go by your calculated number(whether it be 20 % or more). Obviously, you will lose faster if you do the 20% number, that is why I choose to stay at 20%. I personally will stay at the 20% the whole time I do JUDDD, unless I start to lose too much.
Until I go int o maintenance, and then I will re-evaluate.
Also, staying at 20% just will make it a no brainer for my less than wonderful math abilities.

Also every time I go to the calculator the DD changes but the UD doesn't???No matter what the % put in???
The lower the percentage, the more you will lose. 20% is the optimum weight loss mode. The first two weeks of JUDDD, Dr. J. says you can have 500 calories (some use more) on your DD, rather than the lower 20% range just so you can get used to this WOE (way of eating). There is no strategy behind it besides easing you into the JUDDD lifestyle, and fasting. You will lose faster the lower you can tolerate your DD's, or most will.

2/3 DNW UD
2/4 162.5 DD
2/5 160.5 UD

Until I go int o maintenance, and then I will re-evaluate.
Also, staying at 20% just will make it a no brainer for my less than wonderful math abilities.
Thank you so much this helps alot.I am more than a no brainer with my math abilities

Thank you too CindyI guess I will stick with the 20%. I don't know why that was so hard for me to figure out
